2022 brings renewed optimism for the 106th year of the Korovian Club, the alumni association of Korowa. We hope Korovians take advantage of the new opportunities to reconnect with each other and with their School, with our hope of running a full program of reunions and other alumni activities this year. As a result of the recent strategic review and the survey of Korovians, the Korovian Club has refined and approved its action plan for 2022–2023, focusing on what most interests Korovians and suits a range of demographics and preferences. Some of the highlights include: • the November 2021 launch by Korowa of a Korovian Club Instagram page (@korowakorovians) to complement the existing Facebook page, as places to share Korovian updates, School news and connect with each other • hosting two Korovian speaker events, Korowa Connections, open to Korovians and the broader School community • a snowsports race for Korovians alongside the School’s existing snowsports program • launching a sailing training program for Korovians, starting in March • organising a reunion for Honorary Korovians and an Art or Winery Tour for Korovians. The Korovian Club is supporting the School with three new Honour Boards, one for Korovians with Australian Honours, another for Korovians who served in armed conflict for Australia, and another for Korovians who have served on School Council. We have expanded our support for student awards and prizes with a new Margot Gibson Memorial Prize for Service and the Jan Miller Design Acquisition Award, open to Year 12 Design students.
The Korovian Club were delighted to welcome the following members of staff as Honorary Korovians: Helen Carmody, Kim Harris, Nina Harrison, Grace Kinch, and Gwelda Weghorn.
