Women’s Topics, a new group at Plummer Place, has changed its days to Wednesdays @ 9:30 a.m. and will meet on November 8th. Call Michelle or Amy if interested. “Writing Your Way”, will meet Tuesdays, November 14th and 28th from 2:30-3:45 p.m.. Local author and Northbridge resident Lori Gannon, is our instructor in this creative writing course. It is designed to be open ended, to provide a fun, safe, nurturing environment for people to write and share their work whether it be short stories, memoirs, poetry, or daily journaling. Call Michelle to sign up. This is an ongoing class meeting monthly. Author Event & Book Signing: rod Lee’s “Gil Christopher”, Thursday, November 2nd @ 12:00 p.m. Local writer, rod Lee will be at the Center during lunch to present his new book. Harvey Leonard, Meteorologist: “Climate Change: Simple, Serious, Solvable”, Wednesday, November 15th at 10:30 a.m. Look who’s coming to Northbridge! Harvey Leonard, Chief Meteorologist Emeritus, WCVB Channel 5 is coming to speak about this very real topic. $12 per person, this is a fundraiser event and tickets are available at the Senior Center

Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA Health Plan Options Program, Thursday, November 16th at 10:00 a.m. This seminar is a presentation and discussion led by a Blue Cross Blue Shield of Mass. representative. It will include: explanation of Medicare parts A, B and C; Medicare enrollment timeline; Medigap plans that help supplement Medicare coverage; Medicare Advantage plans such as HMO’s and PPO’s; Medicare Part D prescription drug plans. Plummer Place Pluckers Sing-along Concert, Wednesday, November 29th from 2:00-3:00 p.m. raianne and the Plummer Place Pluckers are back for another sing-along ukulele concert featuring favorite songs from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. Lyrics will be provided. Sign up in the main office. Gingerbread House Contest! You are invited to decorate and submit a gingerbread house for our first ever contest. Decorate your gingerbread house and bring it to the Senior Center by December 1st. Then, vote for your favorite house between December 1st-13th, houses will be on display in our dining room. Winners and prizes will be announced at our Holiday Party on December 14th. You do not have to be present at the party to win. All houses must be submitted to Amy no later than December 1st.
