Students to assist at Northbridge HS Blood Drive

This year Northbridge HOSA (Future Health Professionals) chapter is partnering with Mass General Hospital to run two mobile blood drives at Northbridge High School as a community outreach program.

Blood Drives will take place on Thursday, November 9th from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and on Wednesday, May 1st, 2024. NHS HOSA students will complete a 1 hour training session with Mass General to serve as technicians who will assist in the logistics of the blood drive.

Mass General will provide all materials and supplies and has created some posters and flyers that will be placed around town to advertise the event.

This is a fantastic opportunity to get the community active in saving lives!

This event is open to all people. not just NHS related individuals. Come out and donate...help save lives!

Past, Present, and Future” will be featured following the business meeting. A light lunch will be available. The public is welcome to attend, and membership forms will be available.

Area church holds Turkey Raffle

The Millbury First Congregational Church will be holding their Annual Turkey raffle on Friday, Nov. 17th at 6:30 p.m., at the Charles F. Minney VFW Post at 16 S. Main St. Millbury.

The Top 4 Prizes will include: First Prize: $500 in cash, Second Prize: $250 Amazon Gift Card, Third Prize: Case of

Assorted Wines, Fourth Prize: Thanksgiving Dinner Basket with Turkey. raffle Tickets on sale outside Goretti’s on Nov. 4th. Numerous other raffle items will be on display. refreshments will be sold during the event, including hot dogs and other delicious surprises.
