Entendimiento de los seminarios durante la pandemia La formación online se ha convertido en el principal método de enseñanza para nuestros miembros, que la ITF fomenta. La comunicación constante entre el instructor y sus estudiantes es vital para mantener el contacto, la motivación, la capacitación y la membresía, y ayudará en la reapertura de clubes y escuelas cuando la pandemia esté bajo control.

La capacitación y los seminarios en línea han identificado la necesidad de algunas políticas y pautas iniciales sobre cómo se están llevando a cabo. Para apoyar a la ITF y su comprensión, la Administración de la ITF ha proporcionado algunas pautas a continuación:

• Seminarios privados: Estos se pueden realizar dentro de INO y MO. Los materiales de marketing y redes sociales solo deben enviarse a sus propias escuelas dentro del INO / MO. Understanding Seminars during this pandemic Online training has become the principal method of tuition for our members, which the ITF encourages. The consistent communication between instructor and their students is vital in maintaining contact, motivation, training and membership, and will assist in the reopening of clubs and schools when the pandemic is under control.

Online training and seminars have identified a need for some initial policy and guidelines on how they are being conducted. To support the ITF and your understanding, ITF Administration has given some guidelines below:

• Private Seminars: These can be conducted within INO and MOs. Marketing and social media materials must only be sent to their own schools within the INO/MO. Our members from other INO/MOs may attend, however the marketing of this event, other than within the host INO/MO is not allowed.

The instructor of the private seminar must not use any titles beyond that within their own INO/MO, ie ITF roles. Social media materials can display the ITF logo but no other reference or statement regarding the ITF. The ITF does hope that any internal online tuition is successful for our INO/MOs and each and every private seminar is delivered with that intention, ie not using other members in our ITF as the host’s income.

ITF Seminars will make contact with INO/MOs and would expect them to forward the information to their clubs, schools and dojangs for inclusion in their social media and marketing platforms.

The above is an initial seminar “policy” and will be developed, challenged and adjusted as we become wiser together on how we should reach our membership.

Conociendo al Taekwon-Do Adaptado Knowing Adapted Taekwon-Do Entrevista con el Maestro Horacio Boitano VIII Dan, referente mundial de la especialidad y presidente de la Federación Argentina de Taekwon-Do Adaptado (FATA) El Maestro Horacio Boitano es dedicado, reflexivo y aunque parezca una contradicción, apasionado. Hablar de Taekwon-Do Adaptado lo emociona, sin dejar nunca de lado su cadencia de voz pausada, explica: “Creo que es importante entender porqué el Taekwon-Do es tan permeable a la diversidad. La inclusión en Taekwon-Do es un proceso. En Taekwon-Do, lo que se evalúa es la superación individual, el propio progreso.

Al estudiante no se lo compara con otro, sino que se observa la capacidad de vencer sus propias dificultades tanto técnicas como emocionales. El proceso de práctica, funciona como etapas o niveles de inclusión e integración en las que se posibilita la interacción grupal con distinto grado de independencia. Es aprender a vivir con la diferencia y a aprender cómo aprender desde la diferencia”.

¿Qué significado o valor tiene la palabra adaptado?

Al escuchar la palabra “adaptado” muchos podrían suponer que es el atleta

quien se adapta a la competencia deportiva. Justamente se trata de lo contrario. No es la persona con discapacidad quien se adapta, sino el reglamento deportivo. Nuestros programas son específicos, pero los reglamentos deportivos son experimentales. La práctica del Taekwon-Do debe incluir personas con discapacidad, el practicante se desarrolla físicamente con otro, pero la inclusión de personas con discapacidad y la interacción nutre el propio desarrollo emocional, intelectual y social. Porque la diversidad enriquece su entorno.

¿Cómo fue la adaptación del reglamento en el Taekwon-Do Adaptado?

En lo deportivo, el reglamento ITF es experimental y abarca dos ítems que representan dos enfoques conceptuales: 1) La forma que tiene que ver más con el Taekwon-Do Adaptado ya que habitualmente compiten entre dos atletas con discapacidad y eventualmente con un facilitador y 2) Las habilidades mixtas que representan la oportunidad de la inclusión al participar en parejas una de las cuales es el competidor y la otra el facilitador. Este requisito lo hace absolutamente inclusivo.

Maestro Horacio Boitano is dedicated, thoughtful and, although it seems a contradiction, passionate. Talking about Adapted Taekwon-Do excites him, without ever letting go of his slow voice cadence, he explains: “I think it is important to understand why Taekwon-Do is so permeable to diversity.

Kno w i ng Adap ted Taekwo n - D o How was the adaptation of the regulations in Adapted Taekwon-Do? In sports, the ITF regulation is experimental and includes two items that represent two conceptual approaches: 1) The form that has more to do with Adapted Taekwon-Do since they usually compete between two athletes with disabilities and eventually with a facilitator and 2 ) Mixed skills that represent the opportunity for inclusion by participating in pairs, one of which is the competitor and the other the facilitator. This requirement makes it absolutely inclusive.

What is the meaning or value of the adapted word?

Hearing the word "adapted" many might assume that it is the athlete who adapts to sporting competition. It is precisely the opposite. It is not the person with a disability who adapts, but the sports regulations. Our programs are specific, but the sports regulations are experimental. The practice of Taekwon-Do must include people with disabilities, the practitioner develops physically with another, but the inclusion of people with disabilities and the interaction nurtures their own emotional, intellectual and social development. Because diversity enriches its environment.

El desarrollo del Taekwon-Do Adaptado en los últimos años.

El Comité Ejecutivo de ITF, decide incorporar oficialmente Taekwon-Do Adaptado a las competencias a partir de la Copa del Mundo de Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, en noviembre de 2015. Para ello, se desarrolló un programa específico y un reglamento experimental.

En julio 2016 se realizó el I Campeonato Mundial de Taekwon-Do Adaptado en Brighton, Inglaterra. En julio y agosto de 2018, tuvo lugar el II Campeonato Mundial de Taekwon-Do Adaptado Argentina 2018 (televisado por DeportTV) en Tecnópolis, en el marco del Campeonato Mundial de Taekwon-Do ITF Argentina 2018.

“Estos eventos serán un puente hacia la competencia olímpica y paralímpica del Taekwon-Do y del Taekwon-Do Adaptado. En ese camino, estamos trabajando estratégicamente a nivel institucional nacional e internacional”, aclara el Maestro Boitano.

Año a año el desarrollo del Taekwon-Do Adaptado ha tomado más relevancia. En abril de 2019, estuvo presente en el seminario IIC 2019 y la primera disertación sobre “Taekwon-Do, un puente hacia la inclusión.” En noviembre se realizó el Campeonato Panamericano de Taekwon-Do Adaptado, en Uruguay 2019.

En 2020 la respuesta del Taekwon-Do a la pandemia fue sumamente veloz y proactiva, organizando el primer International Taekwon-Do Webinar 2020 para 1.600 participantes en el estuvo presente la agenda inclusiva y donde el Maestro Boitano fue invitado a disertar sobre esta temática.

Sin embargo, a pesar que el 2020 fue un año complicado por el COVID-19 y todo

lo que ello implicó, se realizaron el I Campeonato Sudamericano virtual y el I Panamericano de Taekwon-Do Adaptado con atletas de Argentina, Brasil, Uruguay y Venezuela.

“Para el 2021 se está estudiando la posibilidad de llevar adelante un curso específico de Taekwon-Do Adaptado a nivel internacional dictado por ITF y por supuesto el CNC que los acontecimientos contextuales permitan”, comenta el Maestro Boitano, quien no duda en dejar una frase para la reflexión: “Como habitualmente digo, El Taekwon-Do no tiene banco de suplentes, todos son titulares.”

The ITF Executive Committee decides to officially incorporate Adapted Taekwon-Do into competitions starting with the World Cup, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in November 2015. For this, a specific program and experimental regulations were developed.

In 2016, in July, the 1st Adapted Taekwon-Do World Championship was held in Brighton, England. In July / August 2018, the II Adapted Taekwon-Do World Championship Argentina 2018 (televised by DeportTV) took place in Tecnópolis within the framework of the ITF Argentina 2018 World Taekwon-Do Championship.

“These events will be a bridge to the Olympic and Paralympic competition in Taekwon-Do and Adapted Taekwon-Do. Along this path, we are working strategically at the national and international institutional level ”, clarifies Master Boitano.

Kno w i ng Adap ted Taekw o n - D o Year after year, the development of Adapted Taekwon-Do has become more relevant. In April 2019, he was present at the IIC 2019 seminar and the first dissertation on "Taekwon-Do, a bridge towards inclusion." El tradicional encuentro deportivo internacional se vio interrumpido por la aparición de la nueva enfermedad COVID 19. A partir de esta situación la ITF se vio obligada a improvisar cambios para poder sortear las dificultades planteadas en todos los países por el aislamiento colectivo. “Conforme fue pasando el tiempo no solamente tuvimos que suspender los eventos deportivos, sino todas las actividades, reuniones, seminarios y en el mundo entero nos encontramos con la obligación de tener que suspender las clases”, afirma el Grand Master Néstor Galarraga, SEO de Eventos Deportivos de la ITF.

¿Qué planificación armaron para sortear el inconveniente?

A partir de esta situación global desarrollamos tres alternativas: 1) Continuar con las clases a través de diferentes plataformas, la reacción fue en cadena en todos los países y a los 30 días de ser decretado el aislamiento, estábamos dando clases nuevamente a través de los que denominamos Dojang Virtuales.

2) A partir de las clases se fueron programando diferentes actividades y así, fueron llegando diferentes seminarios de capacitación como el Webinar 2020, el IIC y el IUC, que quedarán como

testimonio de la vocación y el compromiso con el que hemos trabajado maestros e instructores de todo el mundo para generar diferentes módulos de capacitación en el año más trágico de las últimas décadas.

3) El diseño de la plataforma deportiva ITFPLAY LIVE fue un acierto deportivo en lo que a competencia de FORMAS se refiere, desarrollándose los campeonatos sudamericanos, panamericanos y europeos con un alto nivel de compromiso de parte de Maestros, árbitros, coach y competidores que acudieron masivamente a todos los eventos.

¿Cómo se dio el cambio?

Fue un cambio y un aprendizaje en todos los niveles de nuestra organización.

Tuvimos que reinventarnos y fue un desafío que asumimos con responsabilidad, criterio y seriedad. Con la intención de mostrar un Taekwon-Do que no se detiene frente a las peores circunstancias. Los primeros pasos respecto de la competencia deportiva virtual, se dieron desde Argentina, a la que se sumaron inmediatamente los países de América del Sur, Estados Unidos, Canadá conjuntamente con el resto de los países de América y posteriormente lo hizo Europa y ahora estamos en el proceso de Asia.

The traditional international sports meeting was interrupted by the appearance of the new disease COVID 19. From this situation the ITF was forced to improvise changes to be able to overcome the difficulties posed in all countries by collective isolation. "As time went by, not only did we have to suspend sporting events, but all activities, meetings, seminars and all over the world we found ourselves with the obligation of having to suspend classes", says Grand Master NĂŠstor Galarraga, SEO ITF Sports Events.

What planning did you put together to overcome the problem?

From this global situation we developed three alternatives: 1) Continue with classes through different platforms, the reaction was in a chain in all countries and 30 days after isolation was decreed, we were teaching classes again through the which we call Virtual Dojang.

2) From the classes, different activities were programmed and thus, different training seminars such as the Webinar 2020 and the IIC AND THE IUC were arriving. that will remain as a testimony of the vocation and commitment with which teachers and instructors from all over the world have worked to generate different training modules in the most tragic year in recent decades.

3) The design of the ITFPLAY LIVE sports platform was a sports success as far as FORMAS competition is concerned, developing the South American, Pan American and European championships with a high level of commitment from Teachers, referees, coaches and competitors who attended en masse to all events.

¿Qué competencias Internacionales llenarán el calendario 2021?

Respecto al 2021 nos parece prematuro generar una agenda deportiva a nivel internacional, en este momento. Al respecto queremos dar pasos firmes, no crear falsas expectativas y actuar con responsabilidad social por sobre todas las cosas. La mitad del mundo se encuentra atravesando la segunda ola de contagios del COVID 19. El virus ataca con una nueva cepa y la vacuna recién está llegando a los diferentes países. Pienso que es necesario pisar la pelota, mirar la cancha, organizar el juego, y por encima de todas las cosas, seguir promoviendo las medidas básicas de seguridad.

¿Cómo seguirá todo el año próximo?

Pensamos que en muchos sentidos vamos a seguir trabajando a distancia y de manera virtual. Muchos de estos cambios que hemos implementado formarán parte de una nueva normalidad. Estamos desarrollando un nuevo plan para el año que comienza basado en tres aspectos que son fundamentales. En primer lugar, nuestro Vicepresidente Grand Master Trevor Nicholls está generando cambios en la administración de nuestra

institución, pensando en una organización tradicional, pero más competitiva, más atractiva y adaptada a esta nueva normalidad. En segundo lugar, hemos pensado en un sistema de capacitación dinámico, y para ello hemos desarrollado una plataforma de capacitación a distancia www.taekwondoworkshop.com para maestros e instructores y respecto al área deportiva, capacitación para dirigentes, árbitros, coach y competidores. El primer encuentro de capacitación está previsto para el mes de mayo y será exclusivo para maestros.

Dentro de la plataforma deportiva ITFPLAY LIVE, la cual se encuentra a cargo del Maestro José Maidana, están trabajando en la organización del Campeonato Asiático previsto para los primeros meses del 2021 y estamos estudiando la posibilidad de organizar durante este año, el primer Campeonato Mundial ITF Virtual de la Historia. Por otra parte, pensamos que una vez que recuperemos la normalidad presencial respecto a nuestro deporte, esta plataforma cumplirá una función muy importante en nuestra organización ITF de cara al futuro, convirtiendo lo que hoy conocemos y utilizamos como un soporte de organización deportiva virtual en una herramienta de capacitación en FORMAS para los árbitros en todo el mundo.

El 2020 será recordado por muchos como un año para el olvido. Esa capacidad de superar la adversidad, de sobreponerse a momentos críticos, es algo que siempre radicó en el Taekwon-Do, que forma parte de su filosofía: “Por supuesto que esta pandemia ha causado un montón de situaciones. Muchos vamos a recordar este momento en que empezamos a trabajar durante la pandemia. Lo importante es que estamos juntos hoy.

Todo lo que tenemos que recordar hoy es a aquellos que hoy no están para poder entregar lo mejor de cada uno”, afirma el Grand Master Trevor Nicholls, el Vicepresidente de la ITF. El presidente Choi siempre dice que somos alumnos que estamos dispuestos a aprender. Tenemos que tratar de seguir para alcanzar ese objetivo para ir hacia delante. Estas oportunidades que nos da el ZOOM nos permitirán llegar a más personas alrededor del mundo y vamos a tener muchas más actividades.

¿Y más allá de lo tecnológico?

Queremos trabajar para que la ITF tenga más transparencia, por ello a partir de ahora a través de nuestra web se podrá identificar a todos nuestros instructores.

La promoción y la graduación tienen que ser parte de una formación. Muchas de las actividades que se harán van a ser parte de la examinación. En principio vamos a reconectarnos con los maestros, para tener un contacto regular con la ITF, entendiendo que en cada país hay un instructor enseñando en nombre de la ITF.

El Taekwon-Do ITF extiende su exitoso programa virtual con más de 600 participantes en el Instructor International Course Organizado por el Gran Maestro Néstor Galarraga y su equipo de la Federación Argentina de TaekwonDo ITF, para la International TaekwonDo Federation, se realizó de forma virtual el IIC con la inscripción de más de 600 participantes.

El 305° IIC y el IUC fue de 2 días, tuvo como directores al GM Trevor Nicholls (Vicepresidente de la ITF); el GM Néstor Galarraga (CEO Deportivo, Chairman Tournament ITF Committee), y al Master José Maidana (ITF Chairman Umpire Committee).

En el mismo se realizó un repaso de las nuevas reglamentaciones y una actualización de técnicas. Así también, se lanzaron el primer IMC International Máster Course en 2021, el Campeonato europeo en diciembre 2020 y el Campeonato asiático en 2021.

Argentina confirmó su lugar de potencia mundial en el Primer Campeonato Sudamericano Virtual de Taekwon-Do ITF. El mismo fue para la modalidad de formas y tuvo 640 competidores con

Se disputó el Primer Campeonato Europeo de Taekwon-Do Virtual de Formas de la Historia Bajo la organización de la International Taekwon-Do Federation, tuvo lugar el pasado 20 de diciembre.

El Campeonato Europeo Virtual contó con la participación de países como: España; Reino Unido; Países Bajos; Moldavia; Grecia; Polonia; Alemania; República Checa; Ucrania; Eslovania; Irlanda; Bélgica, entre otros.

El representante de Reino Unido, Elliot Callahan demostró que sigue en la cima del continente en Adultos III DAN, consagrándose campeón tras haber sido medalla plateada en el Mundial Argentina 2018.

Su coterráneo, Greg Rose, que en Argentina 2018 se quedó con el bronce en Formas Seniors III DAN siendo el mejor europeo del certamen; ahora también sumó el título de campeón europeo pero en IV. Otro mundialista que se subió al podio fue Otto Van Elzelingen. El neerlandés se consagró campeón mundial Seniors IV DAN en Argentina 2018. En esta ocasión, se quedó con el oro en Formas Seniors V DAN para sumar su lauro en el Europeo.

¿Cómo fue el desarrollo del ITF Venezuela desde sus inicios hasta la actualidad?

Comenzamos en 1982, en el Estado de Vargas, en donde ni siquiera había un gimnasio de Taekwon-Do. Ahí empezó todo, después con el correr de los años fuimos ampliándonos. Llegamos a tener 16 gimnasios con sus respectivos alumnos.

Fue un trabajo muy duro y poco a poco llegamos a la realidad de hoy en día.

¿Cómo se encuentra la Federación hoy en día?

Con las cuestiones políticas que están ocurriendo en el país, algunos de los gimnasios empezaron a cerrar en varios lugares de Venezuela. Hoy en día tengo muchos alumnos en distintos países como Chile, España, Argentina.

Lamentablemente el ciudadano venezolano empezó a emigrar, cosa que antes nunca hacía. También sufrimos fuertes inundaciones, todo esto hizo que de los 16 gimnasios que teníamos quedarán solo dos.

¿Cómo funcionan esas 2 escuelas que están trabajando hoy en día?

Las escuelas esas que hay abiertas hoy en día, trabajan con mucho amor, mucha pasión para mantener el legado del General Choi. En la parte deportiva somos muy perseverantes, muy competitivos. En el último torneo que se hizo de manera presencial en Argentina, llevamos 80 competidores, es más, salimos campeones. Pese a todos los contratiempos que tenemos en el país, el Taekwon-Do sigue creciendo.

Estoy muy satisfecho con el trabajo que se está haciendo. Yo les digo a mis alumnos que deben ser apasionados en lo que hacen, lo tienen que sentir.

¿Cuál es el ADN de un taekwondista venezolano?

Somos muy competitivos. Nos pueden poner a quien sea adelante que nosotros vamos a darlo todo. Una vez en un Torneo, a un alumno lo golpearon fuertemente por la espalda, quedó lesionado, y siguió peleando hasta el final. Con esto quiero decir que los venezolanos somos competitivos.

¿Cómo ve al Taekwon-Do en Venezuela? ¿Cuál es su futuro?

Cuando yo competía mis alumnos me veían competir y tomaban ese ejemplo para progresar. Ahora ellos son instructores y sus alumnos los miran a ellos. Es como una cadena, con engranajes. Ahí va la pasión. Siempre en este país va a haber buenos competidores. Porque hay buenas bases.

¿Cómo se proyecta la formación de instructores?

Cuando el General Choi estaba vivo, nosotros íbamos mucho a los Seminarios, a aprender. Después hacíamos uno a nivel Nacional y ahí volcábamos todo lo que habíamos aprendido e íbamos formando a los instructores, si era buen competidor le inculcábamos que podía ser un buen instructor. Tenemos dos muy buenos instructores que nunca han competido. Y ahora seguimos de la misma manera con los virtuales. Siempre estamos presentes.

La mejor estrategia es siempre estar al día, participar siempre.

¿Cómo es manejar todo de manera virtual?

Siempre estamos en contacto. Tenemos una buena directiva y yo creo que esto es lo que hace que estemos fuertes. Hay muchos instructores que están haciendo

muchísimo esfuerzo. La Federación está muy fuerte en Venezuela y lo va a estar por muchos más años.

We are very competitive. They can put anyone forward that we are going to give everything. Once in a tournament, a student was hit hard from the back, he got injured, and he kept fighting until the end. By this I mean that Venezuelans are competitive.

How do you see Taekwon-Do in Venezuela? What is your future?

When I competed, my students watched me compete and took that example to progress. Now they are instructors and their students look at them. It is like a chain, they are gears. There goes the passion. There will always be good competitors in this country. Because there are good bases.

How is the training of instructors planned?

When General Choi was alive, we used to go to seminars a lot, to learn. Then we would do one at the National level and there we would put everything we had learned and we would train the instructors, if he was a good competitor

we would instill in him that he could be a good instructor. We have two very good instructors who have never competed.

And now we continue in the same way with virtual ones. We are always present.

The best strategy is to always be up to date, always participate.

What is it like to handle everything virtually?

We are always in contact. We have a good board of directors and I believe that this is what makes us strong. There are many instructors who are putting in a lot of effort. The Federation is very strong in Venezuela and it will be for many more years.

I would like to resume the way of giving face-to-face classes, going to tournaments, seminars. That feeling of taking classes with the person next to you, the truth is priceless.

I want to thank GM NĂŠstor Galarraga who has done a great job as a friend and as an instructor. We have known each other for many years, since the World Youth World Cup in Poland in 1982. Also all the instructors from all over America. I think that with all the ideas that the Grand Master has, we are on the best path.

"La pandemia nos hizo crear y aprender nuevos instrumentos de enseñanza" Gerard Galinski V Dan Presidente de la ITF Alemania

Desde Bochum, su ciudad natal, el presidente de la Federación Alemana nos contó sobre cómo su país, y en especial el Taekwon-Do, salieron adelante pese al COViD 19.

¿Cómo están pasando Alemania y el Taekwondo en particular por esta situación en el mundo?

Bueno, el virus golpeó a la gente grande de Alemania principalmente, pero debido a nuestro sistema de salud, Alemania mantuvo bajos los casos graves de personas infectadas. Nuestro primer encierro fue realmente duro y detuvo toda la vida social en el país. Gracias a las redes sociales, nos mantuvimos en contacto con nuestros miembros y

estudiantes. En un momento comenzamos con sesiones de entrenamiento virtual y luego entrenamos en parques o en lugares donde se permitía entrenar con no más de 30 personas bajo las reglas de Covid-19. Después de las vacaciones de verano se permitió volver a entrenar en los dojangs y pabellones deportivos pero en grupos de 10 personas primero y luego en grupos de 30 personas y todo bajo estrictas condiciones y reglas.

From Bochum, his hometown, the president of the German Federation told us about how his country, and especially Taekwon-Do, got ahead despite COVID 19.

How are Germany and Taekwondo in particular going through this situation in the world?

Well, the virus hit the big people of Germany mainly, but due to our healthcare system, Germany kept the serious cases of infected people low. Our first confinement was really hard and stopped all social life in the country.

Thanks to social media, we stayed in touch with our members and students. At one point we started with virtual training sessions and then we trained in parks or in places where training with no more than 30 people was allowed under the Covid-19 rules. After the summer holidays, training was allowed again in the dojangs and sports halls, but in groups of 10 people first and then in groups of 30 people and all under strict conditions and rules.

It was another way of teaching for our instructors and students. First we give advice to our instructors and we train.

The students and instructors had the feeling that yes, we can continue our Taekwon-Do life in some way. Of course, we were looking around Europe, the whole world and we were amazed at what

happened in other countries and we are still in contact with members of our Taekwond-Do family to give them hope.

Now, we are in the second lockdown and social life has stopped again, but we are thinking positively and having contact with each person in our Taekwon-Do family. We are sure that we will soon catch up with our friends from within and outside the country.

Did the federation adapt to the new way of teaching? How did they do it and how did the instructors and students respond?

Yes, our organization adapted the new way of teaching and caring for our instructors and students. It is not enough to have virtual training, you have to talk to people too to give them security and confidence.

Sí, nuestra organización se adaptó a la nueva forma de enseñar y cuidar a nuestros instructores y estudiantes. No basta con tener formación virtual, hay que hablar con la gente también para darles seguridad y confianza.

En cuanto a las competencias, ¿Cómo las realizan, cómo las tomaron los estudiantes y si observó evoluciones en las formas en los practicantes?

Lo hacían en casa, a veces en el jardín si el clima estaba bien. Al principio no se sentían cómodos pero luego se adaptaron porque no tenían otra opción.

Pocos son los que se desempeñaron mejor que antes, si hablamos de evolución. Está claro que entrenar por ti mismo no es lo mismo que tener a tu instructor cerca.

Pasando al Taekwondo en Alemania, ¿cómo está compuesta la federación, cuáles son los proyectos para el 2021 y cómo es la relación o eventos que tuvieron lugar con otros países de Europa?

La ITF alemana se construyó en 2014 y tenemos 8 clubes en este momento y estamos creciendo lentamente, pero esto está bien para nosotros porque es más fácil manejar pequeños pasos en lugar de grandes.

Nuestros proyectos consisten en organizar y participar en seminarios, torneos y otras actividades de ITF TaeKwon-Do en todo el mundo.

También hacemos TaeKwon-Do adaptado, pero no es tan fácil organizarlo. En

nuestra organización hay un solo instructor que puede enseñarles.

Participamos en IIC, IUC, Master Clases, capacitaciones técnicas sesiones, torneos locales y en torneos internacionales alrededor del mundo como en Reino Unido, España, Holanda, Polonia, Bélgica, Irlanda, Italia, Moldavia, Argentina, Corea y muchos más.

Lo bueno es que podemos ir a torneos fuera de Alemania todos los meses porque solo se necesitan pocas horas para llegar allí.

En los últimos años hemos construido amistades con países como España, Reino Unido, Irlanda, Polonia, República Checa, Moldavia, Bélgica, Holanda, Luxemburgo, Eslovenia y tenemos contacto mínimo una vez al mes con ellos.

¿Qué mensaje les daría a los practicantes de taekwondo?

After so many months, what is your balance for this 2020?

Strengths and new learnings of Taekwondo.

As for Taekwon-Do, it gives more time to study how to train all your students and instructors, you can write it down and think of new ways and teaching instruments. You have more time to create a better and peaceful world.

They did it at home, sometimes in the garden if the weather was fine. At first they weren't comfortable but then they adapted because they had no other choice. Few are those that performed better than before, when it comes to evolution. It is clear that training by yourself is not the same as having your instructor close by.

Turning to Taekwondo in Germany, how is the federation composed, what are the projects for 2021 and how is the relationship or events that took place with other European countries?

We also do adapted TaeKwon-Do, but it is not so easy to organize it. In our organization there is only one instructor who can teach them.

What message would you give to taekwondo practitioners?

My message is: keep calm, take every opportunity to keep in touch with your family and with your ITF Taekwon-Do family members.

We have a thought. Taekwon-Do brings people together to have fun, socialize, succeed, and make friends.

The German ITF was built in 2014 and we have 8 clubs at the moment and we are growing slowly but this is fine for us because it is easier to handle small steps rather than big ones.

Could you tell us about Taekwon-Do in Korea?

Most Korean children have been learning Taekwon-do naturally since childhood.

Regarding your school, in which cities are you developing and how do you see the growth of your students?

Korea is the homeland of Taekwon-do, and Kukkiwon Taekwon-do (WT) is more massive today. The ITF is in the dissemination stage. At first, when the ITF re-entered Korea, Kukkiwon's (WT) vested interests made it very inconvenient for him to let them in. In the future, we strive to lay the foundations of a harmonious group rather than an opposing group.

We ITF-KOREA JoongAng Dojang are currently in Seoul and are focusing on distributing Taekwon-do to adults.

At ITF Taekwon-do Dojang in Korea, physical training is carried out according to the spirit of Taekwon-do. The ratio of most of the class is almost 5: 5 when divided into children and adults.

My dojang is about 70% adults. In the future, the overall ratio of children will be set to a ratio of 5: 5 as indicated above than when it was absolute.

¿Cómo es la relación de la Federación Coreana con los países asiáticos, qué actividades realizan en común, cuáles son los proyectos en conjunto y en el país?

Creo que la relación entre los países asiáticos y la Asociación Coreana es muy buena. Siempre estamos juntos con los eventos de los demás. Actualmente, estamos compartiendo opiniones para expandir los Campeonatos de Taekwon-Do One (Torneo Virtual), comenzando por los países asiáticos.

Sports-style Taekwon-do and martial arts-style Taekwondo represent different rates in each country. In China, the proportion of sports Taekwon-do is higher, and in Japan, the proportion of Taekwon-do of a Martial arts is greater. But they all live together.

The COViD situation is difficult for everyone. Taekwon-do leaders and practitioners must be different from ordinary people.

They must be a model for the general public in order to give hope.

With that kind of Taekwon-do spirit, I hope everyone can overcome this crisis by showing a figure who can set an example as a person who does Taekwon-do to those around them.

el Taekwon-Do es el Arte Marcial representativo de Corea Actualmente está establecido como Deporte Olímpico, con 20 años ya desde su primera presentación oficial olímpica en la edición de Sídney 2000. A raíz de esto cómo deporte el Taekwon-Do WT se hizo más fuerte.

Pero, la razón por la cual el Taekwon-Do ha crecido y se ha establecido en Corea, es porque el General Choi Hong Hi quién fue General Mayor del ejército coreano, fundó el Taekwon-Do el 11 de Abril de 1955 y el 22 de marzo de 1966 fundó la Federación Internacional de Taekwon-Do ITF. How everyone knows

Taekwon-Do is the representative Martial Art of Korea It is currently established as an Olympic Sport and it is 20 years since its first official presentation as a sport in the Sydney 2000 edition. As a result of this as a sport, Taekwon-Do WT became stronger.

which General Choi brought the ITF to that country, took a certain role in the Taekwon-Do negotiations with South Korea. But everyone knows that North Korea cannot speak on behalf of the ITF.

But, the reason why Taekwon-Do has grown and established in Korea is because General Choi Hong Hi, who was a Major General of the Korean Army, founded Taekwon-Do on April 11, 1955 and on April 22. March 1966 founded the ITF International Taekwon-Do Federation.

There are many differences between the two sports and they have grown over the years as they traveled different paths.

There are big differences between Taekwon-Do WT and ITF. Just as examples we can say that WT kicks are more linear and ITF kicks are relatively more curved and movements are performed in wave form.

There are 2 sports called Taekwon-Do, the WT and the ITF. South Korea led the WT and North Korea from 1980 on, the year in

The links between Juan Antonio Samaranch and Kim Young Un. They were the fundamental reason why Korea adopts Taekwon-Do WT as its national flag in order to compete in the Olympic Games.

While North Korea must accept that it cannot participate without the Kukkiwon certificate.

The WT (South Korea) and the ITF (North Korea) met for the first time in 1982, from then until now the meetings had been held. But, as of last year as a result of the political conflicts between the two countries on the Korean peninsula, all meetings were suspended.

La International Taekwon-Do Federation organizó la reunión virtual más grande del deporte mundial El sábado 30 y domingo 31 de mayo, se realizó el Primer International Taekwon-Do Training Webinar de la historia que contó con la presencia de más de 1500 participantes.

La ITF realizó el Primer International Taekwon-Do Training Webinar, organizado por el Grand Master Néstor Galarraga.

Se trató de un seminario online que duró dos jornadas donde disertantes de la actividad y de la docencia, plasmaron sus conocimientos ante 1588 inscriptos, alcanzando un récord de participantes a nivel del deporte mundial.

Contó con la anuencia del Grand Master CHOI JUNG HWA, hijo del fundador del Taekwon-Do y Presidente de la International Taekwon-Do Federation, y el vicepresidente, Grand Master Trevor Nicholls. Debido al interés, el Webinar debió realizarse a través de dos plataformas, Zoom y YouTube. La ITF realizó el Primer International The ITF held the First International Taekwon-Do Training Webinar, organized

by Grand Master Néstor Galarraga. It was an online two days seminar where lecturers of the activity and teaching, reflected their knowledge to 1588 enrolled, reaching a record of participants at the world sport level.

He had the consent of the Grand Master CHOI JUNG HWA, son of the founder of Taekwon-Do and President of the International Taekwon-Do Federation, and the vice president, Grand Master Trevor Nicholls. Due to the interest, the Webinar had to be held through two platforms, Zoom and YouTube. It had participants from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Korea, Spain, the United States, England, Italy, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay and Venezuela.

Pionero del Taekwon-Do en Paraguay Desde 1975 Orlando María Valle marca el camino a seguir en el país guaraní. A los 5 años comenzó la práctica del Taekwon-Do y nunca dejó. Hoy en día ve cómo crece el arte marcial en el país que cada vez suma más ciudades: Asunción, Ciudad del Este, Encarnación, Villarrica y próximamente en Campo 9, de vuelta.

¿Cómo es la estructura del ITF Paraguay?

Contamos con una Asociación que se denomina Asociación ITF del Paraguay.

Tenemos un presidente, un vicepresidente, tesorero y un administrador general. Así concluimos en una asamblea que maneja la parte de Taekwon-Do y la administrativa.

Es una actividad que empezó con una sola academia en abril del 2003 y hoy en día aloja 17 integrantes con 6 instructores muy activos. Estos instructores tienen sus alumnos que enseñan en las ya antes mencionadas academias.

¿Cuál es la fortaleza del TKD en Paraguay?

Diría que la palabra clave es el trabajo.

Nos estamos enfocando más en la formación de instructores a partir de los 14/15 años de edad. Con estudios terminados de secundaria, para que puedan proyectarse en la Universidad y ahí ver un mejor desempeño para nuestro Taekwon-Do ITF. También otra clave en materia de la docencia son los niños, basarnos especialmente en los niños. Tenemos un Taekwon-Do Infantil que nos ayuda bastante para que nosotros, los instructores, podamos entrar en la familia de nuestros alumnos y colaborar un poquito en la educación del niño, en cuanto a respeto, disciplina.

niño se sienta cómodo y desenvuelto frente a los adultos.

En materia deportiva, ¿cómo fueron los ya casi 20 años de la Federación?

Gracias a Dios tuvimos buenos resultados. Tenemos varios campeones mundiales. En el último Campeonato de Buenos Aires, obtuvimos 3 medallas de oro, 4 de plata y 2 de bronce. Después hemos participado de todos los campeonatos del mundo que se realizaron en la Argentina, en donde también obtuvimos medallas de oro y de plata. Siempre nos fue bien, tanto sea en lucha como en rotura de potencia.

Estamos teniendo una pequeña falta en las formas, pero yo creo que vamos a mejorar eso a medida que vayamos teniendo más participaciones.

En la última parte del año 2020, en los primeros 2 torneos vía zoom no nos fue tan bien. Pero en el último torneo Panamericano conseguimos 7 medallas.

Estamos muy contentos en cuanto a materia deportiva, siempre estamos en el podio de medallas, tratando de seguir los pasos de los grandes del Taekwon-Do de nuestra región y del mundo.

At 5 years old he started the practice of Taekwon-Do and never stopped. Today he sees how the martial art grows in the country that increasingly adds more cities: Asunción, Ciudad del Este, Encarnación, Villarrica and soon in Field 9, back.

How is the structure of ITF Paraguay?

We have an Association called the ITF Association of Paraguay. We have a president, a vice, treasurer and a general administrator. Thus we conclude in an assembly that handles the Taekwon-Do part and the administrative part. It is an activity that started with just one academy in 2003-04 and today it houses 17 members with 6 very active instructors.

These Instructors have their students who teach in formerly academies.

In sports, how were the almost 20 years of the Federation?

Thank God we had good results. We have several world champions. In the last Championship of Buenos Aires, we obtained 3 gold medals, 4 silver and 2 bronze. Then we have participated in all the world championships that were held in Argentina, in where we also obtained gold and silver medals. We always did well, whether in struggle as in power break. We are having a little lack in the forms, but I think we're going to improve that as we get more shares.

In the latter part of 2020, the first 2 tournaments via zoom did not go so well for us. But in the Last Pan American tournament we got 7 medals. We are very happy about sports matter, we are always on the medal podium, trying to follow in the footsteps of the Taekwon-Do greats in our region and the world.

What is the strength of the TKD in Paraguay?

I would say that the keyword is work. We are focusing more on training instructors from 14/15 years of age. With completed secondary school studies, so that can be projected in the University and there see a better performance for our Taekwon-Do ITF. Also another key in teaching are children, based especially on the children. We have a Children's Taekwon-Do that helps us a lot so that we, the instructors, can enter the family of our students and collaborate a little in the education of the child, in terms of respect, discipline. ¿Cómo llevó la Federación el año 2020 con la pandemia?

Lo que más nos afectaron fueron los primeros 4 meses, más que nada en el interior del país. No se podía trasladar la gente, la realidad es que no había buena conexión. Pero a partir de Septiembre en adelante, los gimnasios del interior del país empezaron a enseñar de nuevo, con clases particulares de 2 alumnos en casa.

Fue realmente muy lindo lo que pasó después, porque así como a muchos al principio le fue mal, después les fue muy bien porque fueron aumentando esa cantidad de alumnos particulares de 2 a 7, 15 o hasta 25. Los alumnos que estaban inscriptos seguían desde algún dispositivo móvil la clase. Fue satisfactorio, pero a la vez sacrificado para los instructores de taekwondo, con 12hs de trabajo continuo.

¿Qué se proyecta para el 2021?

Nosotros estamos planeando hacer clases mixtas. O sea mitad presencial, mitad zoom. Ya que para nosotros en el 2021

todavía no se va a erradicar este virus, va a quedar entre nosotros y vamos a tener que aprender a convivir con él. Desde la Asociación les estamos comunicando a los instructores que el modo nuevo de dar clases va a ser ese.

¿Y en cuanto a lo deportivo?

Por intermedio del GM Néstor Galarraga, que nos da todo su apoyo, participaremos de todos los torneos que se organicen a través de la Asociación Argentina. Acompañaremos ciento por ciento. Es una manera de estar todos juntos apoyando a nuestro TKD ITF, sea en Argentina, Paraguay, Brasil, Uruguay.

En 1999 comencé con cinturón blanco en Dojang Suokjang, del Maestro Steve.

Después de graduarme como I Dan en la ITF (2007) me di cuenta de que el camino del Taekwon-Do comienza aquí y nunca termina. Mi primer objetivo deportivo fue ser seleccionado para el equipo holandés.

Integré la Selección Nacional 3 veces, eso requirió varias horas de entrenamiento por semana en el Dojang, entrenamiento en casa, y mucha experiencia con la competencia en torneos.

En formas tengo mucho más éxito. En 2008 logré mi primer título nacional de adultos mayores de 18 años ¡Campeón de Holanda! He mirado atrás lo que hice en las competiciones hasta ahora; estuve en 65 distintos torneos Nacionales e Internacionales de diferentes organizaciones, participé en un total de

100 torneos y logré 70 podios.

Mi primera Convocatoria a la Selección fue en 2011 para el Campeonato de Europa de Nápoles en Italia. Llegué a la final de formas de II Dan, y perdí por un punto.

Es un momento para aprender, para volver a levantarse y entrenar más duro, analizar a otras personas y tus propios videos, ahondar en detalles, entrenar con tu equipo y pedir retroalimentación a mi Maestro y mis compañeros de Dojang.

¿Qué disciplina te atrae más dentro del taekwondo, y cuál desarrollaste en tus años de competencia?

Me gusta mucho el sparring y las formas.

La operación de vista que tuve me hizo perder terreno respecto a los demás competidores en sparring. Puedes verlo en mi lista de torneos. En total tengo 44 medallas con formas y 17 con sparring.

Otto, we would like you to tell us about your steps as a national, European and global competitor.

In 1999 I started with a white belt in Dojang Suokjang, from Master Steve.

After graduating as I Dan from the ITF (2007) I realized that the path of Taekwon-Do starts here and never ends.

My first sporting goal was to be selected for the Dutch team. I was a member of the National Team 3 times, that required several hours of training per week at the Dojang, training at home, and a lot of experience with tournament competition.

In ways I am much more successful. In 2008, my first national title for adults over 18 years old Champion of the Netherlands! I have looked back at what I did in competitions so far; total 65 National and International tournaments of different organizations, I participated in a total of 100 tournaments and achieved 70 podiums.

My first Call to the Selection was in 2011 for the Naples European Championship in Italy.

I made it to the final of II Dan patterns, and lost by one point.

It is a time to learn, to get back up and train harder, analyze other people and your own videos, delve into details, train with your team, and ask for feedback from my Master and my fellow Dojang members.

Which discipline attracts you the most within taekwondo, and which one you developed in your years of competition?

I really like sparring and shapes. The sight operation I had made me lose ground compared to the other competitors in sparring. You can see it in my tournament list. In total I have 44 edals with shapes and 17 with sparring.

Siempre hay un momento para pensar en transmitir la experiencia o iniciar el camino de entrenador. ¿Cuándo fue la decisión de liderar la selección?

En 2013 me convertí en miembro del Comité de Formación Técnica de la Royal Dutch durante dos años. Durante este tiempo he ganado mucha experiencia para brindar lecciones técnicas en la capacitación nacional.

En 2015 pasé al Comité de Selección de Competición de la ITF Royal Dutch bajo la dirección del Maestro Steve Zondag. El conocimiento vive de lo que he adquirido y además dar siempre el máximo en el entrenamiento es bueno para que los más jóvenes vean, hacer todo con total compromiso y pasión sobre todo.

¿Cómo está conformada la selección nacional? ¿Y qué está previsto para el año 2021?

El equipo del Comité de Selección de la Competición tiene 4 miembros del comité; Master Steve Zondag, Boosabum Winodj Ramsoebhag, Boosabum Alison Portman y yo. En este momento tenemos 20 miembros de preselección. Los miembros provienen de diferentes Dojang de los miembros de la ITF Royal Dutch.

Las edades son desde 14 años hasta personas mayores. Para cada persona es la misma regla; talento, disciplina, respeto (principios) y máximo esfuerzo en todos los entrenamientos nacionales, entrenamiento de selección, autoformación, participación en torneos y resultados.

Además del entrenamiento de competición a nivel nacional, contamos con entrenamiento de selección para los

miembros de preselección. En este momento hemos planeado el entrenamiento de preselección hasta el verano de 2021. Como saben, todos los países tienen problemas de COViD-19. Así que no tenemos definido aún el calendario para este año. Estamos encerrados hasta finales de enero de 2021.

Para el grupo de preselección hemos organizado (entrenamiento y grabación) para el primer Campeonato Europeo Virtual de la ITF, el 20 de diciembre.

In 2013 I became a member of the Royal Dutch Technical Training Committee for two years. During this time I have gained a lot of experience to give technical lessons in national training.

In 2015 I moved to the ITF Royal Dutch Competition Selection Committee under the direction of Master Steve Zondag.

Knowledge lives on what I have acquired and in addition to always giving the maximum in training, it is good for the youngest to see, do everything with total commitment and passion above all.

How is the national team made up? En marzo 2020 tuvimos el primer encierro y hasta la tercera semana de enero 2021, será el segundo. Si el clima nos deja entrenamos afuera o cuando hubo un permiso del Gobierno hicimos un entrenamiento adentro en grupos pequeños y de forma remota. Hicimos todo lo posible para los miembros. Solo para los adultos no se nos permitió hacer contacto durante la mayor parte del período Coronavirus.

¿Cómo ves al equipo juvenil y senior holandés para futuras competiciones?

En primer lugar, es importante que el COViD esté bajo control. Luego, el Equipo de preselección tiene que entrenar muchas veces juntos, conseguir ritmo, practicar, practicar y practicar más y si se le permite participar en torneos. Tenemos talentos maravillosos y también jóvenes talentos para el futuro de los Dojangs.

Amante de las artes marciales. Nació en Brasil, sus padres son japoneses. Edimir Kawakubo fundador de la ITF Brasil nos cuenta de sus orígenes y de su Federación.

¿Cuándo empezó a dar clases?

Empecé a dar clases en 1987. Ya en el año 1998 llego a IV DAN y creo una Asociación llamada ITF Río, en la cual estuve hasta 2003 y ahí es cuando también creó la ITF Brasil que ya rige a nivel Nacional, no sólo en Río de Janeiro.

¿Cómo se fue desarrollando el Taekwon-Do en Brasil a partir de ese 2003?

En Brasil ya a partir de 1991 había movimiento en el mundo del Taekwon-Do, más que nada en San Pablo.

Estábamos en 5 Estados: Río de Janeiro, San Pablo, Paraná, Santa Catarina, Bahía y Ceará. A partir del 2003 sumamos 2 Estados más y alcanzamos 7. Y vamos por más.

¿Qué proyección tienen para el futuro?

La pandemia nos frenó un poco el progreso que veníamos teniendo.

estaban contactando para conocer el Taekwon-Do. Tenemos un criterio a seguir en las escuelas que se van sumando, no cualquiera se puede sumar.

Tomamos la decisión de hablar después de la pandemia para que nos podamos conocer mejor.

Para este año tenemos para el mes de agosto un examen grande de Danes de categorías mayores. Igualmente lo estaremos confirmando en marzo/abril, dependiendo de cómo va a estar la situación del país.

La ventaja que tenemos es la estabilidad que nos da estar en 7 estados.

When did he start teaching?

¿Qué parámetros tienen para seleccionar a los Estados que se van incluyendo?

Primero nos fijamos el motivo por el cual se acercan. Una cosa es venir porque hay un interés y otra muy distinta es venir porque los han echado de otra Federación. Segundo, nos fijamos en la historia de la escuela, vamos, miramos y sacamos conclusiones. Pedimos un cambio de uniforme (al de nuestra Federación, el que cambia el uniforme es porque realmente quiere cambiarse).

Luego hacemos una prueba de seis meses, para ver si se adapta o no.

¿Cómo hace la federación para elegir los competidores para un campeonato?

En Brasil nosotros hacemos selectivos para los individuales y para otros no. En cuanto a los grupales elegimos entre los mayores quienes están aptos para estar en cuanto a los resultados que tenemos.

¿Brasil tiene taekwondo adaptado?

Nosotros no tenemos un sector exclusivo para eso. Pero sí tenemos, competidores que incluso participaron del sudamericano. Nos falta desarrollar ese sector para los competidores.

¿Cómo venía avanzando la enseñanza con los más chicos?

En principio los padres estaban muy preocupados por los chicos así que no los estaban llevando Por miedo al contagio del COViD – 19. Eran escuelas que tenían 50 chicos y ahora tienen 30 ó 20.

Estamos ahora en un sesenta por ciento de los alumnos que teníamos antes.

Esperamos para este 2021 que se regularice la situación.

¿Hay seminarios de regulación de técnicas, cursos?

Sí, siempre hacemos dos por año. Uno solamente para los cinturones negros y uno para todos. Generalmente son de dos días.

Este año lo hicimos de manera virtual, aunque no fue lo mismo, nos sirvió.

Pese a estar en contra de las clases virtuales, pienso que las artes marciales deben tener contacto, sé que nos ayudaron y mucho en este tiempo. Se encontró un sistema nuevo de clase, de comunicación.

La pandemia se va a ir, pero este sistema se va a quedar, se va a sumar.

What parameters do they have to select the States to be included?

How was teaching progressing with the younger ones?

In principle the parents were very concerned about the children so they were not taking them For fear of contagion of COViD - 19. They were schools that had 50 children and now they have 30 or 20. We are now at sixty percent of the students we had before.

Despite being against virtual classes, because I think that martial arts should have contact, I know that they helped us a lot in this time. A new system of class of communication was found. The pandemic is going to go away, but this system is going to stay, it is going to add up.
