many changes in tax and superannuation laws, single touch payroll and the many financial difficulties caused by Covid Pauline Marsden who has worked tirelessly in the role of Office Manager spending an enormous amount of time in the office and at home dealing with Club matters. Brain Lucas who resigned earlier this year as an Independent Director on the Governing Council. Brian has provided crucial governance and compliance services and was heavily involved in securing over $200,000 in grant funding for the Club, not including the grants for the synthetic green which totalled over $300,000.

I have enjoyed my 20 years of service on the Club’s Management Committees, the Executive, and the Governing Council. I would now like to spend my time enjoying the Club and my bowls. I would also like to thank all our Volunteers again sincerely, because without their efforts we could not have accomplished such worthy achievements. In closing, I wish to congratulate the incoming Governing Council and Committee members. I look forward to the new management continuing to provide a facility that is inviting and enjoyable for all the Club members and promotes all the Club’s sporting efforts. – Wayne Gray

he third of March 2010 was an important day for the Sorrento Bowling Club. It was the day that Pauline Marsden decided to join tour Club and what a wonderful asset she has proven to be. A skilled practitioner and with qualifications highly valued in bowling clubs, primarily counselling people, she fitted in perfectly.
