The Howe Lady Bulldogs (3-8) made up for an ugly 15-0 loss at Bells on Tuesday to jump back into the win column on Friday with a 10-5 thumping of Leonard. At Bells, Lady Panther Alexis Tanguma hurled two perfect innings striking out five Lady Bulldogs while Chloe Russum came in relief to throw another perfect inning with one strikeout. Howe committed three errors defensively behind the pitching of Harley Brockelman who went 1.2 innings allowing nine earned runs on four hits and five walks. She gave up a homer to Bailee Davis in the first inning as the Lady Panthers put up a 4-spot in the first. On Friday, things were much more crisp for Howe as the Lady Bulldogs put up a 4-spot of their own in the second inning. Freshman Emery Snapp, who went 4for-5 with a double and two RBI, led off the inning with a single. Talia Bjorn’s grounder scored Snapp to start the inning. Hannah Dwyer reached on one of seven

errors by the Lady Tigers which brough home Bjorn and Brockelman. Dwyer would later score on an error. Howe plated two more in the third inning when Snapp doubled home Alexia Womack and Gracie Lankford’s fielder’s choice scored Snapp. Leonard scored two runs in the fourth but Howe answered back with a run in the fifth when another error brought home Snapp. Snapp then drove home Riley Craven in the sixth and Dwyer singled home Kaitlyn Fuhr in the sixth. Howe rounded out the scoring in the seventh with RBI from Dwyer and Womack. Railyn Murphy pitched all seven innings, allowing four earned runs on 11 hits. She struck out five Lady Tigers. Howe will play Whitewright at home Tuesday and at Pottsboro Friday.
