Bulldogs drop final non-district game to talented Boyd Yellowjackets

The Howe Bulldogs (1-3) ran into a buzz saw at home Friday night against the Boyd Yellowjackets (3-1). Boyd, with 20 juniors on their roster and full of talent appear to be headed to multiple rounds of the playoffs for a couple of years. The Bulldogs, still without starting quarterback Austin Haley, stood toe-to-toe with Boyd for the first half, trailing 14-7 at the intermission. The surprising play of the defense has forced several turnovers early in the season and Howe intercepted three Boyd passes, two from safety Layton Elvington, to give him five on the young season.
