Cities on Highway 289 see big jumps in sales tax revenue The City of Howe's economic development office is trying to sell US Highway 75 as the next big growth spurt in North Texas. But year-end sales tax figures indicate that cities located along Highway 289 are experiencing rapid increases in spending along that corridor.
