Axles Axles, changing oil Oil change interval every 1500 operating hours, but at least once every year. Intermediate gear and differential have a common oil household.
WARNING! Drain the oil only at operating temperature. Attention! Danger of scalding! – Before unscrewing the plugs thoroughly clean the respective areas. A Drain plug on intermediate gear B Drain plug on differential C Filler- and level control plug

– When changing the oil you must drain the oil from intermediate gear (A), from differential (B).

– Screw in plugs (A) and (B) with new seal ring. – Fill in oil through the filler-/level control bore (C) until it starts to flow over. – Screw plug (C) back in with a new seal ring. Tightening torque for plugs 70 Nm (52 ft lb). Total oil filling quantity: approx. 12.2 litres (3.2 US gal). For quality of oil refer to the lubrication chart. – Check the oil level after a few minutes and, if necessary, top up until the specified oil level is reached and remains constant.
