Start the engine. Move the machine to an open area and park on a level surface. Apply the parking brake. Raise and lower the boom several times until all air is removed from the circuit.

Step 11

Lower the boom and shut off the engine. Check for leaks. Correct any le akage found. Check the hydraulic fluid level. If ne cessary, fill to the correct level with the specified fluid.

519 Telehandler BOOM EXTEND CYLINDER

Extend Cylinder Removal

BEFORE cleaning, lubric ating, or performing service on this equipment, refer to the MANDATORY SAFETY SHUTDOWN PROCEDURE in Section 100 (Personal Safety Information And Decal Locations.)

Raise the boom to access rear lighting wiring harness. On left side, remo ve the two zip ties (1). Then disconnect the harness connector (2).

From the right hand side, disconnect the right hand light wiring harness connector.

With the boom still raised, remove the rear lighting mounting bolts (1) and plates (2). Remove the rear lights.

Lower the boom and retract the inner boom all the way. Remove the top left and right side pad bolts from the inner boom. Remove wear pads.
