Hydraulic & Transmission Oil Hydraulics and Transmission Oil Oil Level Check The Transmission, Hydraulics and Steering use oil from a common reservoir. To check the oil level proceed as follows : dipstick. 1. Keep the tractor on level ground and clean the area around dipstick. 2. Remove the dipstick (A), clean it and refit it in the housing till it reaches its bottom. 3. Again remove the dipstick and check oil level. The oil level should be maintained between upper and lower mark on it. Refill oil via the filler neck up to the required level if necessary. The oil should be replaced initially at 50 hours and subsequently after every 400 hours of operation. The Oil filter element shall be also replaced whenever oil is changed.

Adding Oil While changing the complete oil of transmission, 6.60US gallon (25 litre) oil has to be filled in transmission housing. To add oil, proceed as follows : 1. Keep the tractor on level ground and clean the area around dipstick. 2. Remove the dipstick to expose the port. 3. Add oil of specified grade through the port 4. Allow the oil to settle down and check oil level as detailed above. Oil Drain To drain oil, proceed as follows : 1. Keep the tractor on level ground. 2. Remove the drain plug (B) and allow oil to drain out. 3. Refit drain plug (B after the oil is completely drained out.
Note : Draining oil consumes time. Allow sufficient time for draining the oil.
