STARTING ENGINE NORMAL STARTING WARNING ●
Check that there are no persons or obstacles in the surrounding area, then sound the horn and start the engine.

Exhaust gas is toxic. When starting the engine in confined spaces, be particularly careful to ensure good ventilation.
NOTICE Do not crank the starting motor continuously for more than 20 seconds. If the engine does not start, wait for at least 2 minutes before trying again.

Turn the starter motor selector switch (1) to FRONT engine.

Set FRONT engine fuel control dial (2) at the low idling (MIN) position. If it is at the high idling (MAX) position, always change it to the low idling (MIN) position.
