Electrical system on the feeder breaker
Electric motors The feeder breaker has two (2) electric motors (Fig. 53) , one for the conveyor drive and one that drives the breaker and hydraulic pump. conveyor motor
The conveyor drive motor (Fig. 53) located on the left hand side of the machine is a 150 HP, 3 phase, 60 Hz, 460 VAC electric motor. The motor supplies power to the conveyor chain via a torque limiter, reducer and head shaft directly coupled together. breaker/tram motor
The breaker/tram drive motor (Fig. 53) located on the right hand side of the machine is a 200 HP, 3 phase, 60 Hz, 460 VAC electric motor. The motor supplies power to the breaker assembly and hydraulic pump. For more information on the breaker/tram motor, see Breaker power unit in this chapter.
