—How to operate the feeder breaker
Tramming the machine
The machine can be trammed in the local mode at the valve banks located at the operator's station or in the remote mode with the radio transmitter.
WARNING! Before operating 'either tram control lever, ensure that; all other personnel are completely clear of the machine; roof clamps are completely retracted (if equipped); trailing cable has sufficient slack; no electrical or water lines are in the path to be traveled; and the conveyor and crusher have been turned off.
WARNING! When tramming the machine from the operator's station, the operator should stand beside the machine facing the conveyor with the tram control levers at arms length. Care should be taken to ensure that the operator's feet do not get under the crawler tracks while the machine is moving.
NOTICE! The feeder breaker has skid type steering; it is capable of turning within its own limits.
cal' If required, tram the machine by:
To advance the machine (local), pull the right and left tram levers simultaneously toward the operator (Fig. 29) or;
To advance the machine (remote), push and release the "TRAM ENABLE" pushbutton and then push both of the "TRAM FWD" pushbuttons on the radio transmitter simultaneously (Fig. 30).
To reverse the machine (local), push the right and left tram levers simultaneously away from the operator (Fig. 29) or;
To reverse the machine (remote), push and release the "TRAM ENABLE" pushbutton and then push both of the "TRAM REV" pushbuttons on the radio transmitter simultaneously (Fig. 30).
Turn the machine by stopping one crawler while running the other. Or for faster turning, run the crawlers in opposite directions of one another.
