IMPORTANT : Never close the hood without unlocking the gas strut, as this may cause damage. WARNING : Before travel, make sure the hood is properly locked.

Raise the hood fully, using the handle.

To gain access to certain components of the engine it is necessary to remove the side panel. Pull it upwards and then tilt it towards you.

The right-hand gas strut is fitted with a locking system. WARNING : After fully opening the hood, make sure the locking system is properly engaged. To close the hood, press the unlocking device and tilt the hood downward.

Once removed, place the side hood alongside the valve bank partition. After servicing, refit the side hood.
