Im Spätherbst 2019 hat sich Buchmacher und Taschner Bernhard Sanders einen Wunsch auf seiner Langzeitliste erfüllt. Er liefert eine ausgewählte Kollektion von Taschen und Gürteln an den Tirol Shop. // Bagand bookmaker Bernhard Sanders fulfilled a wish on his long-term list in late autumn 2019. He delivered a selected collection of bags and belts to the Tirol Shop.

Insidern ist die Manufaktur Sanders schon seit einigen Jahren geläufig, machte sich deren Eigner doch durch handgemachte Bücher, aber auch Kurse zum Handwerk einen Namen. Schon von Kindheit an interessierte den Mittvierziger das Arbeiten mit Papier, Leinen und Leder, was ihn zuerst Bücher machen ließ, später schloss er auch eine Ausbildung zum Taschner ab. Heute beschäftigt die Manufaktur Sanders vier Mitarbeiterinnen, außerdem ist Sanders Schwester Lisa mit an Bord. Sie entwirft und produziert hauptsächlich Taschen und lebt und produziert teils in Purkersdorf, teils arbeitet sie in der Werkstatt ihres Bruders. Gemeinsam haben sie die Kooperation mit dem Tirol Shop auf den Weg gebracht und die Kollektion dafür entworfen. Sie zeichnet sich, wie alles aus dem Hause Sanders, durch höchste Qualität aus. Und die darf auch ruhig ihren Preis haben. // Insiders have been familiar with the Sanders workshop for several years now, as its owner made a name for himself with handmade books and courses about the craft. Now in his mid-forties, he was interested in working with paper, linen, and leather from childhood days. This first helped him make books. He later also completed an apprenticeship as a bagmaker. Today, the Sanders workshop employs four employees, and Sanders‘ sister Lisa is also on board. She mainly designs and produces bags. She lives and works partly in Purkersdorf and partly in her brother‘s workshop. Together they launched the collaboration with the Tirol Shop and designed the collection for it.
