Business - BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate Overview
The Extended Certificate is an industry-recognised qualification geared to the specific requirements of the Business Sector. At Level 3 they have been accredited by QCA to be equivalent to A Levels. The course is delivered as a two year programme, to provide a qualification at Pass, Merit or Distinction. The Extended Certificate is equivalent to 1 A Level. How is the course structured? How is the Extended Certificate assessed? The course is assessed through coursework, controlled assessment and external examination. Students are encouraged to join the Career Ready Programme which provides them with a business mentor, skills for career success and a 4-6 week paid internship.
