The Full Moon represents the peak of energy in the Moons full lunar cycle, Intentions of the previous New moon begin to come to fruition and that which no longer serves us starts to shed. A Full moon occurs when the Moon is in direct opposition to the Sun which means we feel the energy of both the sun and the moon together. This lunar cycle the full moon lands in the sign of Capricorn. Capricorn brings in Earth energy, focusing on Structure, foundations and security. In Opposition, the Sun in Cancer brings in the element of water, asking us to trust our instincts, emotions and feelings. The Capricorn-Cancer polarity is balancing these two energies between our attachments, love and where we nurture others (Cancer) and our achievements, goals and ambitions out in the world (Capricorn).
How can we integrate the two harmoniously in our lives? Capricorn, who is ruled by Saturn (Known as the task master or “father” archetype) asks us to step up and take action on securing the foundations of our life and career, while the Sun in Cancer who is ruled by the Moon (Know as the Nurturing “mother” archetype) is calling us to integrate that with our home, family and the things that FEEL good emotionally and in our inner world.
