HIGH SCHOOL CHOIR/ VOCAL PERFORMANCE The TRA Choirs and Vocal Performance Groups are divided into 3 Choirs and 3 Vocal Performance Ensembles: Mixed Concert Choir, Show Choir and Advanced Women’s Choir AND Advanced Women’s Jazz Ensemble, Advanced Guys Quartet and Jesus Talk: Worship Singers Mixed Concert Choir is open to any student interested in performing with a Choir and does not require an audition. The other two choirs (Show Choir and Advanced Women’s Choir) and the three Vocal Performance Ensembles (Advanced Women’s Jazz Ensemble, Guys Quartet, and Jesus Talk: Worship Singers) will require an audition for placement in the choirs and vocal performance ensembles. Auditions are held in the spring of the previous year. For all applied auditioned performance courses, evaluations & assessments will be given over music memorization, music theory, music history, and overall performance of the assigned repertoire. Students will be expected to sing alone and with a group on the choir repertoire, as well as, sight-read alone.
