First and foremost, I'm thrilled to inform you that the school year has started off on an incredibly positive note. Our children have embraced their classes with enthusiasm and curiosity, and I'm truly impressed by their eagerness to learn and grow. It's heartening to see them engaging with their peers and teachers, making new friends, and showing a genuine interest in their studies. I'm confident that this school year holds great promise for their personal and academic development.

In line with our shared commitment to providing the best possible upbringing for our children, I'd like to introduce you to a valuable resource that was shared by Jay Stephenson, Next Gen Pastor at Bellevue Baptist Church, and our guest speaker for our MS Parent Night. It's a Christian parenting website called "Axis," and it offers a wealth of insights, guidance, and support tailored to our faith-based parenting journey. The website can be accessed at https://axis org/

Axis focuses on equipping parents with the tools they need to navigate the challenges of raising children in a rapidly changing world while nurturing their spiritual growth. The website features articles, videos, podcasts, and other resources that address various aspects of Christian parenting. From practical advice on fostering strong family bonds to discussions about addressing cultural influences and technology in a faith-centered way, Axis covers a wide range of topics that are pertinent to our family's values

I've spent some time exploring the website and have already found a lot of valuable information that I believe will benefit us as we continue to guide and support our children's upbringing. I encourage you to take some time to browse through the content and see how it resonates with you. I believe that incorporating the insights from Axis into our parenting approach can further strengthen the foundation of faith, love, and understanding that we are cultivating within our family.

Aspiritually

AS ALWAYS, I'M GRATEFUL FOR THE UNWAVERING LOVE AND SUPPORT YOU PROVIDE OUR SCHOOL, AND I'M EXCITED ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITIES THAT LIE AHEAD FOR OUR FAMILY. LET'S CONTINUE TO WORK TOGETHER TO CREATE A NURTURING ENVIRONMENT THAT HELPS OUR CHILDREN THRIVE BOTH ACADEMICALLY AND SPIRITUALLY.

High School Review

On behalf of the high school faculty and staff at Tipton-Rosemark Academy it is my honor to welcome the students and families for the start of another fabulous school year! It was a busy summer full of many projects, and preparing for the new year.

The senior class of 2024 chose our Bible verse theme to focus on for the year. “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you,” from Matthew 6:33, is the verse they chose We want to be more intentional this year about referring to and focusing on that verse through our chapel services, in our service projects, and in all our dealings academically, athletically, and

spiritually

Congratulations to Ms Vego! She was recently appointed by Secretary of State Tre Hargett to serve on the Civic Education and Engagement Advisory Committee for the State of Tennessee. This is an incredible opportunity for Ms. Vego, and for students all across the state of Tennessee, but especially for the students at Tipton-Rosemark Academy. Ms. Vego, TRA is so proud of you, well done!

Middle School Review

It has been a wonderful start to the year for our middle school students and faculty!

Our hallways and classrooms have a fresh new look thanks to many parent volunteers who helped paint our classroom walls this summer We are especially thankful for generous donations from Gayle and Darrell Kellum who built an organizational island for our teacher workroom, the Goulder family who donated a beautiful granite countertop for the island in the teacher workroom, and the Boaz family who donated mounts and installed televisions in the middle school hallway in order to scroll announcements and pictures of our middle school students.

Our 6th Grade & New Middle School Student Orientation Night was a success Over 40 students and 60 parents attended. Activities for parents included a session on navigating technology for middle school students led by Bellview Baptist Church’s Next Gen pastor Jay Stephenson and an introduction to middle school session Activities for students included get to know you games led by Brad Smith, a photo/video scavenger hunt facilitated by Angel Jones and Terri Millican as well as by students from our middle school student council, and a student session on middle school expectations RED

WE THANK GOD FOR THE GIFT OF A NEW SCHOOL YEAR AS WE LIVE INTO OUR THEME BIBLE VERSE CHOSEN BY OUR SENIOR CLASS. MATTHEW 6:33, “SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS AND ALL THESE THINGS SHALL BE ADDED UNTO YOU.”

Lower School Review

I am thrilled to welcome you and your family to a new year at Tipton Rosemark Academy! We are so excited to have you with us this year. I want to thank you for sharing your child with us. We all know that children are our biggest blessings from God. I am honored that you have chosen TRA to educate your child. Placing your child in a Christian school that teaches Biblical principles is a wonderful gift for your children. We strive to give your child a well-rounded education, complete with Biblical teaching, academics, sports, and fine arts.

Our students and teachers are off to a FANTASTIC start! Our students are having so much fun as they are learning the routines for new classes and reuniting with old friends while making new ones, too Elementary teachers have been busy doing lots of “all about me” projects, reading back to school books about friendship and easing their students back into academic work, too.

Late start Wednesday will begin next Wednesday, August 23. This is an important time of PD for our teachers. I appreciate our parents being flexible and making this adjustment to allow our teachers to have this time together to learn and grow professionally. If you would like to volunteer to cover a class during late start, please email me.

On late start Wednesdays, please help us by keeping your student at home and bringing him/her later (drop off at 8:15) We will have a second car line crew out at this time to make this a safer option for you. We understand many of you work and do not have a choice. However, if you are able to come later, please do. I really appreciate you working with us to make this time available for our teachers and staff to collaborate in order to make our academic program even stronger.

Elementary Drop Off & Pick Up Reminders

I would like to remind you of a few things to make getting back into the routine much easier for all of us:

Please DO NOT DROP OFF BEFORE 7:15 A.M. There are no teachers on duty to supervise your child until 7:15. Our tardy bell rings at 7:50 a.m. Our teacher assistants that are helping in car line have classroom responsibilities beginning at 7:50 Our carline assistants must come inside at 7:50 If you are in line at 7:50, you will need to then park, walk your child inside and sign them in since they will be tardy at 7:50. We have been very lenient on this in the past. However, it is affecting our PreK classes and their ability to start their day on time. Thank you for understanding and adjusting your schedule as needed to arrive and drop off prior to 7:50

Traffic- In the MORNING ONLY, you may enter campus between the church and the PAC, loop around the back of the PAC and drop off your student at the end of the elementary sidewalk. Beginning at 7:15, we will have our teacher assistants in car line to help unload.

For pick up in the afternoon, you may NOT go behind the PAC You will need to enter just past the elementary building on Rosemark Road, go in front of the high school, follow the lane all the way around and between the maintenance building and middle school building to pick up in the same place you dropped off. This is for grades K-5 only, and dismissal is at 2:50. For grades PreK-3 and PreK-4, you will pick up at 2:30 at the awning that faces Rosemark Road PreK-2 parents ONLY will park in the PAC lot or the parallel spaces along Rosemark Road and walk to the front door / foyer of the elementary for pick up.

If you have a middle school student that you are dropping off/picking up, he/she needs to be dropped off and picked up with your elementary student at the elementary designated drop off/pick up locations Please do not stop in front of the middle school to unload Please just stop once at the elementary stopping point and let your middle schooler walk on the sidewalk over to the middle school. This helps expedite our line.

Please help us encourage independence and foster a smooth morning transition for your child by allowing him/ her to walk into the building on his/her own We have assistants on duty to help them get out of the car and teachers on duty at the front door to see that the children make it safely into the building. I know it is hard to do. It is much harder on us as mommas and daddies than it is on them!
