Well, what a busy time it has been since our last Newsletter!

SCLAA has held a combination of 17 events and webinars around the country, the largest being the synchronisation of events on International Womens Day 8th March.

This event attracted 427 attendees nationally with keynote Industry Leaders sharing the challenges and solutions to attracting, retaining and progressing talent as well as strategies for promoting Diversity in their respective companies.

We have also brought to fruition a Microcredential Course in partnership with ITLS. The Foundations of Intelligent Supply Chain Management will be delivered a number of times over the coming year.

This micro-credential is designed for managers and business owners who want to broaden their understanding of logistics and supply chain management, and acquire knowledge of the latest trends and technological developments in the field. The program is designed and delivered by supply chain experts aiming to familiarise forward-thinking leaders with the tools, technologies and approaches that are essential to design, plan, manage, and optimise the complex supply chains of today.

Particular emphasis is placed on real-world challenges of managing complex supply chains, and industry best practice in the use of advanced analytics and AIempowered tools to transform procurement, logistics, production, warehousing, and distribution operations. The program provides an interactive and engaging space in which participants will apply what they learn by role-playing scenarios, evaluating alternative decisions, and examining the business outcomes of those decisions. The program provides a unique networking opportunity through exchanging ideas with team members while developing competencies in intelligent supply chain management.

In the four modules of this micro-credential, the participants will become familiarised with:

1. Foundations of logistics and suppl chain design, planning, management and optimisation;

2. Emerging tools and technologies, and their applications in forecasting, procurement/sourcing, warehousing, and transport management;

3. Supply chain transformation/digitisation and integrated decision making; and

4. Transformational risk assessment/mitigation and sustainability initiatives

I am pleased to report that the initial intake was a resounding success and oversubscribed! The numbers are limited and enrolment will be via Expressions of Interest. SCLAA Professional and Executive level Members will be given priority consideration. The second offering will commence in November 2023 if you missed out this time.

SCLAA NSW Committee will be present at Stand C11 and, just for fun, will have a Professional headshot photographer available for anyone attending that would like to take advantage of this! We look forward to seeing you there..

We have also wrapped our 2022 Mentoring Programme and launched 2023 Registrations, with continuing growth and interest in this important initiative for our members and industry professionals alike.

The ASCLA awards Committee, chaired this year by our NSW State Director, Cathy Anne Jones, has been busy canvassing Sydney venues and secured the prestigious Fullerton Grand Ballroom for our Gala Dinner to be held 10th November. Nominations opened during April, and ticket sales will launch soon.

If last year is anything to go by, I would urge ticket purchases at the earliest, or secure Sponsorship for guaranteed entry and the extensive marketing and membership benefits that are on offer! See further details in this newsletter.

During April, the SCLAA Board also met to discuss overall strategic objectives for the next few years. We once again canvassed members for feedback via an online survey on what they like, dislike and want more of, from their Membership, to guide our strategic goals. Some common themes emerged, amongst other initiatives, the Board will pursue and incorporate into its overall medium term strategic plan:

• A forum/platform facilitating member to member connections or member directory

• A jobs board/employment portal catering to industry

• Bespoke events for particular member groups and industry sectors

• Collaboration/forge partnerships with education institutions to provide SCL Certification

• SCL Student specific initiatives

Microcredential courses in partnership with Tafes, Universities (already initiated!)

• More National/cross state border networking opportunities

More information on the member survey will be provided in coming newsletters! Should any member or partner that hasn’t done so already, wish to provide input, it would be most welcome and can be forwarded to secretary@sclaa.com.au

The Board also took the opportunity to participate in a Directors Governance workshop for a part of the Strategy session in order to further strengthen its own learning ensure the highest levels of Code of Conduct and Corporate responsibility continue to be met for the SCLAA! I would like to thank the Facilitator, Julie Garland McLellan www.mclellan.com.au who, I am happy to say, was very pleased with the high level of governance and protocols exercised by the SCLAA Board! Onwards towards EOFY and I hope to meet many of you at our upcoming events and conferences ...

NOVEMBER 2023

P 05 APR ‘23 15 SEPTEMBER 2023

TAFE NSW is excited to be a Platinum National Partner of the Supply Chain and Logistics Association of Australia (SCLAA).

Who is TafeNSW and what do we do

At its core, TAFE NSW remains focused on building a strong economy through a skilled and agile workforce. Helping individuals, businesses, and communities to upskill and reskill is the bedrock of what we do.

TAFE NSW is an education provider offering both vocational training and higher education programs. From pre-vocational taster courses to nationally recognised qualifications, and higher education programs, TAFE NSW is critical to skilling the state’s workforce.

TAFE NSW is committed to ensuring all people, including those experiencing disadvantage, have access to the training they need to participate fully in their local communities and the economy. In the last 12 months alone, we have trained more people experiencing disadvantage than any other training provider in the country. More than 150,000 people from regional and remote communities, 36,000 Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, and 46,000 people living with disability have been the beneficiaries of a skills-based TAFE NSW education.

Our vision is ‘To be the leading provider of lifelong learning, meeting the evolving needs of industry and learners in communities across NSW’.

The Importance of Education with Industry Collaboration

we network with within the SCLAA are already committed to improving the industry. We at TAFE NSW share the same vision.

What better and easier way to connect on collaborative projects than to join an organisation like the SCLAA. TAFE NSW now can interact with others of likeminded interest and focus. People who are attracted to the SCLAA are actively engaged in leadership, innovation, and implementation. TAFE NSW can anticipate many opportunities to collaborate on cutting-edge projects that can benefit both parties and shape the Supply Chain Industry.

Some examples are –

The SCLAA offers a wide range of professional development opportunities which is important to our staff and learners because it has the potential to open opportunities for career advancement. It also

assists TAFE NSW in sharpening existing skills and in learning new ones.

The SCLAA Mentoring program helps our learners develop confidence, encourage, support, and find a path towards their career goals. The feedback from our learners in last year’s program was that they found the program very valuable.

TAFE NSW’s have recently formed ‘Industry Collaboration Reference Groups’ (IRCGs) to inform TAFE NSW on future industry skills and training priorities, the impact of the training products delivered and the industry skills training requirements.

The Industry Collaboration Reference Groups will work closely with the SCLAA to provide:

Straight Talk from David Doherty OAM

David Doherty OAM is a past President and Life Member of the SCLAA and a highly regarded logistican. Send your Straight Talk feedback and comments to davidoh1@optusnet.com.au

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rampaging towards general acceptance and use. It offers real opportunities for problem solving and such.

“For a list of all the ways technology has failed to improve the quality of life, please press 3”. (Alice Kahn)

A reported survey a few years back indicated one in five companies used AI in some way. Of course, it is utilised in search engines that we turn to every day.

I am very interested in future development and implementation but am uneasy about some possible effects. (e.g., abolition of some types of jobs currently performed by people; creation of new types of jobs must surely follow)

Machines suffer from the inability to have feelings and influence decisions with human emotional overlay.

Surprisingly AI first came to notice academically way back in 1956. Since then, development has been varied in various fields of endeavor. Now the stage is set for more rapid deployment. Supply Chains will be a significant beneficiary of effectively utilised AI only if properly structured training and education ensues across the business spectrum.

Important not to use “fad” reasons to implement AI. As with all novel approaches there must be a genuine business purpose.

Are you appropriately skilled and enthusiastic enough to effectively exploit AI?

While I am on the subject, I recently read an interesting report on the human brain and confusion. It seems there is still no explanation as to how thoughts and feelings emerge and process in the brain. There is excellent evidence re neurons firing when stimulated or such. However, no explanation on how thoughts actually process.

“It is better to fail in originality than to succeed in imitation” (Herman Melville)

A state of confusion often results in feelings of failure and/or inability to cope. Damaging negative emotions often ensue. On the other hand, a state of confusion can be a real opportunity to learn and solve problems. Viewed in a positive way confusion can challenge you to create improvements and/or solutions.

Can you accept the challenge to change your mindset to learn and create from a state of confusion?

Broken down to the lowest possible denominator, Supply Chains aim to connect buyers and sellers in an effective seamless value generation way. There is a continuing epidemic of complicating supply chains.

Measuring supply chain performance remains an area of “confusion.” We must at last devise and implement appropriate and effective sustainable supply chain performance measures.

How do you measure your supply chain performance? Are you able to contribute to developing enduring generally accepted measures?

“Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake” (Napoleon)

An opinion I noted from an eminent source alleged that success is often considered to result from competition and accumulation (greed). Our business models assume competition is a vital success factor. Many people revere those with accumulated assets/wealth. Is there another way of thinking?

Can genuine contributions to citizenship and community drive performance beyond the traditional business values? Are you up to that challenge?

Young people who live in regional Australia are disadvantaged in the training and education for employment ready outcomes. The system prevents many from getting cost effective access to the necessary qualifications/skills. It is time to reimagine the system to ensure future based training and education is accessible to all those who seek future employment, and ability to contribute to the economy and society. Make it affordable, make it easy to access, , make mentoring mandatory. Financial status must not be a limiting threshold for entry.

“Success is not final; failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts” (Churchill)

Infrastructure is a constant media grabber. Investments in necessary (not politically inspired) infrastructure projects should future proof our communities. I am confident some of the world’s most used infrastructure (e.g., London Tube Rail) may not have met economic assessment tests at time of initiation. An obsessive vision for future needs and values is critical. Communities demand relevant infrastructure.

Governments must be courageous enough to plan, develop and implement infrastructure projects that benefit todays and tomorrow’s communities.

Covid is resurging. Get vaccinated or get boosted. Also get Influenza Vaccine. Winter is upon us with an increased possibility of infections. Stay safe.

2023 Annual Supply Chain & Logistics Awards Gala Dinner to be held at the Grand Ballroom, Fullerton Hotel Sydney.

The Fullerton Hotel Sydney was once a grand General Post Office and remains a beloved local icon, with layers of history to unfold. Launched in 1874, the GPO Building has long been a landmark and meeting spot; its clock tower was once the tallest building in the city – and while Sydney’s skyline has since surpassed it, the allure of this place endures.

The stonework of the exterior – which took months of painstaking restoration before the building was reborn as The Fullerton Hotel Sydney – warrants a long wander and closer look. Classic columns and the exquisitely carved faces of Neptune, Minerva and Queen Victoria offer a glimpse of what was possible for a post office during Sydney’s gold rush.

A New Digital Era for Intralogistics Automation swisslog.com

Swisslog rebranding reflects a new era of digital logistics

their shared passion for customer-centricity and commitment to delivering exceptional service, which drew them both to the organisation.

“Sustainability is high on our agenda for our region. We want to help develop solutions that improve Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) outcomes of our customers’ warehouses,” said Ulmamei.

Swisslog, a leading provider of automated intralogistics solutions, is rebranding to better reflect its position in the digital and dynamic world of the future. At the heart of the rebranding is a new logo design that has been optimised for the digital era. It builds on the strengths of the existing logo that served Swisslog largely unchanged for the last 25 years.

“The new digital brand fits the direction of our business. Swisslog is becoming more digitalised, through the solutions we provide and in the way they are deployed and serviced,” says Antonio Trioschi, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Swisslog, “We are proud to be launching a fresh brand that drives this commitment across the logistics automation industry, representing Swisslog’s core strategy of creating exceptional value for our customers.”

New era for Swisslog Australia and New Zealand

Swisslog Managing Director, Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), Dan Ulmamei said the new brand provides an opportunity to define a new era for Swisslog ANZ.

Under the new leadership of Dan, and recent appointment of Sean Ledbury, Head of Sales, Swisslog has undergone a customer-focused transformation, driven by

“We work closely with our customers to minimise their environmental impact. Our automation solutions enable our customers to achieve their sustainability targets by reducing their warehouse footprint and energy bills while also minimising their environmental impact, by bringing the product closer to the end customer,” he added.

“As part of our customer strategy, we have built a specialised local software and controls capability by having our teams work on-site and be available within close proximity to our customers. Our team is committed to delivering customer-centric services through reliability, engagement, and pro-active continuous improvement.”

Agile and future-ready

The shape of the new logo is adaptive, reflecting the digital world of today and tomorrow. Through movement, it reflects the dynamic world of logistics. It is modern, agile, and future-ready. A strong ‘S’ element of the new logo design is a bold signifier of Swisslog as a provider of innovative, data-driven, and robotic solutions, setting new standards in warehouse automation. The design also reflects the bold, self-confident, and passionate personality of Swisslog and its people.

Powering growth – empowering people

“Our rebranding strategy further positions Swisslog as a future shaper in logistics automation, but it is also about much more,” Trioschi added. “It also reflects the strength and expertise of our people. Our colleagues are at the heart of everything we do, and we want our customers to know that they can count on Swisslog to deliver solutions that are backed by the expertise and knowledge of our team.”

Warehouse operators are reaching for the sky with new RIFD technology

We’ve seen the impressive reach of RFID technology, both from a read-range perspective and in terms of market penetration. Yet, everything has its limits – even the longest-range handheld RFID reader.

If your team is having difficulty identifying items on top shelves, managing a large volume of RFID-tagged inventory, dealing with significant forklift traffic, or conducting cycle counts in a facility too large to navigate on foot, then you might be interested in a new type of RFID reader, referred to as a mobile pallet RFID reader. This integrated RFID reader looks like a pallet but it’s equipped with an integrated RFID reader and specialised antenna, making it a practical solution to help streamline your inventory management process.

How does it work?

This technology is very simple to use. A lift truck operator would pick up the mobile pallet like any other, raise it to the desired height and then drive through all the aisles to confirm in-stock inventory quantities and locations. Zebra’s mobile pallet RFID reader can detect tagged goods up to 15 metres away, meaning you’ll no longer have to manually keep track of what’s on the top shelf or try to find another way to read tags out of range.

Technically, this mobile pallet RFID reader could be used for complete inventory counts in your warehouse or distribution centre (DC). Its value isn’t just derived from its ability to reach and read goods in multi-story facilities. The speed by which a forklift operator can confirm goods on hand and help locate missing items is remarkable. So, a strong return on investment (ROI) is guaranteed no matter how high your storage shelves climb.

You’ll also benefit from this technology if you need to conduct more frequent cycle counts, as the pallet is faster and more efficient than a worker walking through aisle after aisle. Furthermore, if you were to start using autonomous forklifts in your warehouse or DC, you could potentially automate the entire cycle counting or inventory locating process with this integrated RFID reader. It’s hard to find a downside with how quickly it can be brought online and how few resources are needed to deploy and manage it.

The mobile RFID pallet reader is known as a “fully integrated solution” because it is shipped fully assembled. It uses Power over Ethernet (PoE), so there isn’t much installation work required, and is also compatible with private 5G networks so you’ll have reliable and constant transmission of read data as the forklift moves throughout your warehouse or DC.

What makes it better than other cycle count options? It is comprised of Zebra’s FX9600 fixed RFID reader alongside specialised antennas that tune out crosstalk. This helps to reduce erroneous tag reads and gives you a highly accurate read rate throughout your warehouse aisles. And, yes, this is one of the fastest ways to count and locate inventory in warehouses and DCs, mainly because of the size of the facility, the volume of inventory that must be accounted for, and the numerous other tasks your team must complete in a day.

The best part of choosing a Zebra-integrated RFID portal is that they are fully compatible with Zebra’s broad portfolio of RFID and location systems and are backed by Zebra service and support teams throughout the solution’s lifecycle. There is instant help available – from site assessments, use case mapping, RFID solution design to component commissioning, go-live technical support and post-deployment troubleshooting. RFID solutions consistently deliver the inventory information you need to improve business performance and customer satisfaction as your operation continues to grow.

WA President Division Report

The first few months of 2023 have been busy for the West Australian SCLAA group. As well as having access to a wide range of webinars provided by the national team, members have had access to several topical, thought provoking and educational face-to-face events. The flagship event was on 8th March, International Women’s Day. To celebrate the occasion the association welcomed three eminent female speakers to a popular event at the airy modern offices of Seer Financial Group in West Perth entitled “Women in Supply Chain – Careers and Challenges”.

Keynote speakers were Kim Horwood, Partner, ECO Circular Sustainable Supply Chain, Alex Terry, CEO of the Mentoring Effect, and Angela Coley, a Senior Procurement Manager in the Resources Sector. With a focus on female empowerment, career development and sustainability in the Supply Chain sector, the contrasting styles of the speakers provided fascinating listening and provoked a lively follow up discussion. Sixty plus attendees ranging from students to seasoned industry professionals were also able to network over refreshments kindly provided by Recruitwest. Thanks to our guests and sponsors for delivering an outstanding event.

P 20 APR ‘23

The SCLAA’s long standing relationship with Edith Cowan University and its Supply Chain and Logistics courses provided the backdrop for two further events, in March and April. Members of the association’s WA committee spoke to students and non-student members at events focussing respectively on “The Role of Logistics in Supply Chain Management” and “Transportation Management”. Thanks are due to Chris Trowbridge, Jim Kelly, Blair Pierson and Brian Lynn for drawing upon their diverse industry experiences to highlight to audiences contemporary thinking and real-life experiences in these areas, with a focus on their relevance to Western Australia. A rare and unexpected treat at the end of the event was a dance display from Associate Professor Ferry Jie and his daughter which demonstrated that there’s still room for fun and creativity in the fast-paced modern supply chain world.

Of particular interest at April’s event was the formal announcement of the SCLAA’s 2023 Mentoring Program. David Sutherland as the WA Program Leader outlined

the value of a strong Mentor-Mentee relationship to both parties in building a career in the industry, and Robert Hooper, a graduate of the 2022 program eloquently related how he’s benefited from it. The learn more about the Mentorship Program contact the SCLAA or access the details via the association’s website.

Watch the SCLAA’s communication channels for information on more upcoming WA events, particularly the imminent site visits to state-of-the-art local workplaces.

Finally, there’s always room for enthusiastic individuals to join the SCLAA WA’s committee. Don’t underestimate the career benefits of such an involvement. Contact the association or one of its local committee members for more information.

VIC/TAS President Division Report

What just happened?

The initial event of this year was a noteworthy achievement for the VIC/TAS chapter. It garnered the highest number of attendees for a single occasion and held great significance on the global calendar. On March 8th, we acknowledged the crucial role women play in our society and commemorated their invaluable contributions to social, economic, cultural, and political progress, which have resulted in more equitable conditions.

The VIC/TAS committee presented an impressive lineup of women who have devoted their professional lives to the supply chain and logistics industry. Four accomplished women who have established themselves as leaders in the global supply chain sector were warmly welcomed on stage.

• Laura Hull – Head of Supply Chain at Spectrum Brands

Laurel O’Donnell – General manager of Lineage Logistics in Laverton

• Angela Kranjcic – Associate Director at Accenture

Fleur Walsh – Head of Lead Logistics Oceania Region at A.P. Moller - Maersk

Hosted and moderated by SCLAA’s VIC/TAS committee member Dr. Elsie Hooi, a seasoned supply chain academic and international presenter, brought all the fun and laughter to the stage whilst JLL, venue sponsor provided the one hundred and thirty plus attendees a scenic backdrop of Melbourne’s city skyline from the 40th level of the CBD’s iconic 101 Collins Street building.

Dr. Elsie Hooi, an experienced supply chain academic and global speaker, who is also a member of SCLAA’s VIC/TAS committee, hosted and moderated the event with great enthusiasm and humour. The venue sponsor, JLL, offered the attendees a breathtaking view of Melbourne’s city skyline from the 40th floor of the iconic 101 Collins Street building in the CBD. The event attracted over 130 participants making it VIC/TAS biggest event to date.

The panel discussion captivated a diverse audience of supply chain professionals, including both experienced and emerging individuals. The panelists shared their insightful thoughts and engaged in intellectually stimulating discussions on the progress made by the industry. Although there has been an increase in female leadership in supply chain and logistics, there is still room for improvement in gender diversity across all operational levels of the industry. The panellists emphasised that fostering a more balanced and inclusive environment would lead to more growth, a better culture, and greater innovation.

As an integral part of SCLAA’s annual events calendar, International Women’s Day will continue to inspire and connect professionals in the industry, by recognising and honouring women who are driving positive change. Looking ahead to 2024, we aim to replicate the success of this year’s event by promoting and celebrating the women who are making significant contributions to the sector.

P 22 APR ‘23

What is happening?

It is rare to find a supply chain professional who cannot identify a mentor that has played a significant role in shaping their career and contributing to their achievements.

Mentoring aspiring professionals in the supply chain industry can have a profound impact on their lives. Supply chain management is a complex and rapidly-evolving field that requires a wide range of skills and expertise. As such, a mentor who can guide and support an aspiring professional can be invaluable in their personal and professional development.

Mentoring helps aspiring professionals build their networks and establish meaningful relationships with others in the industry, providing opportunities for networking and career advancement. Perhaps most importantly, mentoring can have a profound impact on an aspiring professional’s confidence and sense of purpose.

Our 2022 Mentoring program wrapped up in April, and we are excited to launch the 2023 program. At the conclusion of the program, mentors and mentees from the 2022 cohort were recognised and shared their inspirational stories. Interestingly, we noticed a common

trend where mentors also benefited greatly from the program, as much as their mentees did. The program has been overwhelmingly popular, and we are now accepting expressions of interest from both mentors and mentees for a limited time. For more details, please visit the SCLAA website.

P 23 APR ‘23

By sharing knowledge and experience, mentoring can help to shape the next generation of supply chain leaders, while also building meaningful relationships and contributing to the growth and success of the industry as a whole.

What is to come?

Starting from May, there will be a multitude of events happening in VIC/TAS, including educational workshops, webinars, business luncheons, thought leadership sessions, networking breakfast events, and site tours. The topics will cover themes such as sustainability, warehouse automation, continuous improvement, and supply chain technology, among others. Please refer to the events calendar for further information.

In my humble opinion, success in the industry is a combination of the desire to learn, network, gain experience,

and share knowledge. Joining SCLAA as a member provides the vehicle to achieve all these, but like any vehicle, it is only effective when in motion and headed towards a destination. I highly encourage an active membership, or even volunteering your enthusiasm to be part of our growing committee that makes all these wonderful events happen. SCLAA is an association driven by passion for the industry, and I am confident that you will experience this at our events.

Fuel tax credits – correcting common mistakes

Have you checked your fuel tax credits?

The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) is encouraging businesses who claimed fuel tax credits during the temporary rate reduction to check they haven’t overclaimed.

Businesses who didn’t use the ATO’s fuel tax credit calculator may have been using incorrect rates and claiming the wrong amount for fuel acquired during the temporary rate reduction between 30 March and 28 September 2022.

Businesses who have made errors will need to decrease their fuel tax credits claim in their current business activity statement (BAS) at label 7C (fuel tax credit overclaim) to avoid penalties and general interest charges.

A common mistake is claiming for fuel that was only used in a heavy vehicle for travelling on public roads. The fuel tax credit rate reduced to nil for this activity during the rate reduction.

To make accurate claims and get fuel tax credits right on your BAS:

• use the ATO’s fuel tax credit calculator

• review and fix debit errors remember records you need to keep

• consider debit error time limits and debit error value limits

• contact a tax or BAS agent for help.

Fuel tax credit error example

Mitchell acquired 10,000 litres of diesel fuel on 1 June 2022 for use in his heavy vehicle while travelling on public roads. He claimed $1,780 (10,000 × 0.178 cents per litre) on his June quarterly BAS. Mitchell claimed the amount by mistake using the fuel tax credit rate based on the February 2022 rate.

From 30 March to 28 September 2022, businesses that acquired fuel for use in heavy vehicles for travelling on public roads couldn’t claim fuel tax credits. This is because the road user charge was more than the excise duty paid, which reduced the fuel tax credit rate to nil.

In February 2023, Mitchell uses the fuel tax credit calculator to check this calculation. The calculator showed he should have claimed $0 (10,000 × 0.00 cents per litre) on his June 2022 quarterly BAS.

To correct the overclaim, Mitchell makes a correction on his March 2023 quarterly BAS to decrease his fuel tax credit amount by $1,780. He does this by including $1,780 at label 7C (fuel tax credit overclaim).

The event was organized to celebrate the achievements of women in supply chain and logistics, and to encourage the industry to support women’s advancement and gender equality.

The event featured several distinguished speakers who shared their insights and experiences with the attendees. One of the key speakers at the event was Jodi Mckay, the National Chair of the Australia India Business Council. Jodi spoke about the importance of diversity and inclusion in the workplace and how it can lead to greater innovation, productivity, and profitability.

She highlighted the need for greater representation of women in leadership positions and called on organizations to create more opportunities for women to advance in their careers.

Sarah Liu, a well-known entrepreneur, was also a speaker at the event. Sarah shared her personal journey of overcoming challenges and barriers as a woman in business, and offered practical tips on how women can build resilience and thrive in the workplace. Her message was both inspiring and empowering, and resonated strongly with the audience.

Simone Allan, from the Women’s Resilience Centre, the charity partner of the event, also spoke at the event. She discussed the vital work the centre does to support women who have experienced trauma and adversity, and highlighted the importance of supporting and empowering women to build resilience and overcome challenges.

The event also provided an opportunity for attendees to network and connect with other professionals in the industry. The atmosphere was lively and engaging, with attendees exchanging ideas and discussing the latest trends and developments in supply chain and logistics.

Overall, the event was a great success, and a testament to the growing momentum for gender equality and diversity in the industry. It demonstrated that there is a real appetite for change and that organizations and individuals are committed to making a difference.
