Perhaps the most impressive feat of Mobiledock is its efficient mapping of the network supply chain stakeholders that surround each DC. This resembles a “physical Internet” and is the key to enabling proactive management of deliveries, labour, and dock utilization, ultimately reducing stockouts and excess inventory while ensuring efficient warehouse operations.

Excellence in Data-Driven Site Safety, Visibility and Efficiency: Bestrane Deployment of Mobiledock. Bestrane’s ASCLA Big Data, IT & BI Award submission highlights how new technologies are transforming everyday supply chain processes. Working with Chemist Warehouse, Bestrane was able to demonstrate how loading docks and the associated business processes can be transformed through the implementation of Mobiledock, a locally developed, cloud-based loading dock management system. This technology has harnessed Business Intelligence to significantly enhance operational efficiency and supply chain visibility. The catalyst for this change was the need to manage internal warehouse costs, improve inventory control, and establish a real-time “source of truth” between dock operations and the community of suppliers and carriers that services each DC. Mobiledock enables efficient loading dock scheduling, execution and reporting capabilities that provides precise control over carrier movements that respects the constraints of each DC and

Incorporating valid POs/ASNs into the Mobiledock process has enhanced visibility and collaboration with suppliers and carriers, and further driving efficiency improvements. It generates and stores large volumes of data relating to how bookings are scheduled and executed enabling highly detailed supplier and carrier performance reporting, predictive analytics and fostering better working relationships among all stakeholders.
