A key challenge to delivery fleet electrification is the lack the electrification project plan over a multi-year horizon. The project answered questions about the optimal vehicle mix of different technologies (ICE, H2, BEV), the optimal Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and the energy and infrastructure costs over time. of enterprise-grade software platforms built purposely for that ecosystem. Adiona’s powerful last-mile delivery route planning and optimisation SaaS products have powered over 25 million sustainable global deliveries, and our unique technology allows transporters to adopt EVs and other sustainable vehicles such as cargo bikes faster by automatically identifying opportunities and creating simulations and network designs for more sustainable delivery methods.

The project revealed the ‘low hanging fruit’ opportunities to get short range BEVs on the road quickly with temporary chargers, reduced the number of vehicles required for purchase by 14%, reduced the TCO and infrastructure costs by 12%, and was achieved 30% faster than a traditional EV transition analysis.

Working with a major US retailer with thousands of vehicles, we executed a project to simulate and quantify
