la marina alta es... La comarca de La Marina Alta se encuentra al norte de la mundialmente reconocida Costa Blanca. Su superficie de 759 km2 se extiende en la zona más septentrional de la provincia de Alicante y se distribuye en 33 pueblos que, en su conjunto, ofrecen un amplio abanico de recursos entre los que destacan el patrimonio cultural y natural, las tradiciones, la gastronomía, la tradición oral, los senderos y rutas a través de sus innumerables paisajes, así como la posibilidad de realizar un sinfín de actividades en cualquiera de estos municipios. El litoral de la Marina Alta se extiende desde Dénia hasta Calp. Un litoral bajo hasta el Cabo de San Antonio a partir del cual se alternan las pequeñas playas con los acantilados más impresionantes de toda la provincia. La comarca se divide abruptamente en tres llanuras separadas por agrestes montañas. Esta configuración orográfica define no sólo el paisaje sino la economía y el modo de vida de sus habitantes. El área en torno al río Girona (Dénia, El Verger y Ondara) destaca por su intenso cultivo de cítricos, de los mayores de la Comunidad Valenciana. Desde Jávea a Gata de Gorgos, en la llanura colindante al río Gorgos predominan los almendros y las vides. La tercera llanura la constituye la extensa zona de marjal, entre Pego y la costa, el Parque Natural de la Marjal
de Pego-Oliva, frontera natural entre Valencia y Alicante. Estas llanuras vienen definidas por tres formaciones montañosas: Segària (500 m.) y el Montgó (753 m.), más al norte, y la Sierra de Bèrnia al sur, que esconden recónditos valles en la zona más interior y dan lugar asimismo a impresionantes acantilados cuando llegan al mar. La Marina Alta también destaca por su entramado laberíntico de ríos, como el Bullent y el Molinell (o Racons), que hacen de frontera al norte, o el río Girona y el Gorgos (o Jalón), el Alcalà y el de Castells. Esta particular orografía confiere a la Marina Alta un carácter único haciendo de ésta un espacio de sorprendentes paisajes, de cielo limpio y horizontes abiertos que compiten en importancia con las sensaciones y emociones que el visitante percibe en cada paso.

the marina alta is... The Marina Alta district comprises the northernmost part of the Costa Blanca, a renowned tourist magnet worldwide. Its 759 km2 of extension are distributed intro 33 towns that, as a whole, offer a wide range of possibilities such as a great cultural and natural heritage, traditions, gastronomy, oral traditions, routes and paths across its stunning landscapes, or the possibility of enjoying of endless activities in any of this towns. Its coastline goes from Dénia to Calp. It is flat all the way to the Cape of San Antonio and later alternates with small beaches and the most striking cliffs in the whole of the Alicante province. The coastal towns, though influenced by tourism, still keep intact their ancient idiosyncrasy and personality, when they were small fishing-based villages. In perfect harmony, the folds of the mountains, inland, hide small villages where life is peaceful and tranquil ant that still keep firmly its agricultural-based economy. The Marina Alta district is abruptly divided into three plains separated by rough mountains. This orography defines not only its landscape but also its economy and its people’s way of life. The area around the Girona river (Dénia, El Verger and Ondara) stands out for

its intense cultivation of citrics, one of the most important of the Valencian Community. From Jávea to Gata de Gorgos, on the plain around the Gorgos river, we will mainly find almond trees and grapevines. The third plain lies on the extense area of marshes, between Pego and the coast. That is the PegoOliva Marjal, a natural frontier between Valencia and Alicante. At the same time, these plains are defined by three mountains: Segària (500 m) and the Montgó (753 m), at the northernmost part and Sierra de Bèrnia at the southern part. They all hide numerous valleys inland and, when descending into the sea, they do so in the form of sheer rockfaces. The Marina Alta district also stands out for its rambling network of rivers, such as the Bullent and Molinell -that are the natural frontier at the north-, or the Girona and Gorgos (or Jalón), the Alcalà and the Castells rivers. This peculiar orography makes the Marina Alta district a unique place, full of stunning landscapes, clean sky and wide horizons that rival in importance with emotions and sensations.

Прибрежные города, хоть и очень туристические, но хранят свой характер и уникальность старины со времен, когда еще были маленькими рыбацкими поселками, чья экономика основывалась исключительно на рыболовстве. В идеальной гармонии, внутренние долины скрывают небольшие поместья, в которых жизнь нетронутая временем, сохраняет свою экономическую основу в сельском хозяйстве. Область делится на три равнины, разделенные скалистыми горами.
Эта географическая конфигурация определяет не только пейзажи, но и экономику, стиль жизни ее обитателей. Территория вокруг реки Girona (Dénia, El Verger y Ondara) выделяется своим выращиванием цитрусовых культур. От Хавии к Гата де Горгос, на равнине у реки Горгос, приобладают мендаль и виноград. Una cultura viva y activa marcada indiscutiblemente por la historia. Una historia que se remonta a 100.000 años a.C. Encontramos numerosos yacimientos prehistóricos donde poder observar pinturas rupestres, como en el Pla de Petracos en Castell de Castells, declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad.

La expulsión de los moriscos dejó muchos pueblos desiertos. La última rebelión morisca en todo el territorio español tuvo lugar en el impenetrable Valle de Laguar, en el interior de la Marina Alta. La repoblación de esta comarca estuvo en manos de cristianos de las Islas Baleares, que trajeron su lengua y cultura local.
Entre los siglos XVII y XVIII la provincia de Alicante conoce el mayor despegue de manifestaciones artísticas y a finales del siglo XIX el modernismo también dejó sus huellas en las construcciones. Las actividades económicas están intrínsecamente relacionadas con el paso de las diferentes civilizaciones. Tanto la agricultura en las poblaciones del interior, como la pesca en la costa, así como la artesanía de la que Gata de Gorgos es su mayor exponente. No podemos cerrar este capítulo sobre la tradición cultural de la Marina Alta sin mencionar la importancia de la música en cualquier celebración, evento o simplemente una reunión de amigos. Bandas musicales que acompañan cualquier pasacalle y formadas, en muchos casos, por instrumentos típicos y tradicionales de esta tierra.

De los primeros pobladores se han encontrado vestigios íberos y de la época romana quedan como testigos numerosos restos arqueológicos, como la antigua muralla romana en Dénia o la piscifactoría de Calp. Pero, sin duda alguna, la cultura morisca es la que más ha marcado a estas tierras ya que los árabes dominaron esta zona durante unos seis siglos. El trazado de la mayoría de estos pueblos, con calles empinadas y estrechas con pequeñas plazas y fuentes es típicamente árabe. La conquista de las tierras valencianas por el rey Jaume I El Conquistador forma parte de la historia viva de esta comarca, recordada en muchos topónimos y en las fiestas de los Moros y Cristianos así como en los castillos e iglesias y las torres vigía.

…culture A still alive and in continuous movement culture marked undoubtely by its history. A history that can be traced back to 100,000 B.C. We’ll Discovery numerous prehistoric sites where we can see cave printings, such as at El Pla de Petracos in Castell de Castells, declared World Heritage. From its first inhabitants we can find iberian artefacts and from the Roman era there are still important legacies such as the remains of the Roman wall in Dénia or those of a fish farm in Calp. But, without any doubts, the most important imprint was left by the Moors, who dominated this area for about six centuries. The layout of most of the towns in La Marina Alta are typically Moorish, with narrow, steep streets and small squares with fountains. The conquest of the Valencian lands into Christendom by King Jaume I The Conqueror is part of the living history of this area, celebrated in many place names and in the annual Moors and Christians fiestas along with numerous castles, churches and watchtowers. The expulsion of the Moors converted to Christianity left many towns deserted. The last Moorish rebellion in the whole of Spain took place in the impenetrable Valle de Laguar, an inland town. The

repopulation of this district was made by the Christians from the Balearic Islands, who brough to this area its language and local culture. In the 17th and 18th centuries, the province experienced a major increase in works of art and in the late 19th century Modernism also left its traces in several buildings. The economy of this area is closely related to the pass of different civilisations. Agriculture, in the inland towns, or fishing, in those closer to the sea, as well as craftmanship, of which Gata de Gorgos is the major example. We cannot close this chapter about the cultural tradition in La Marina Alta without mentioning the importance of music in any celebration, event or even in a small meeting with friends. Live bands that usually accompany any street processions and that frecuently have traditional instruments. La Marina Alta has a great variety of museums where we can improve our knowledge of its history, traditions, handworks, customs…

...espacios naturales y protegidos el Marjal de Pego-Oliva (humedal) Este humedal supone la frontera natural entre Alicante y Valencia. Se trata de una antigua albufera que, debido al avanzado proceso de colmatación, presenta el aspecto actual de sistemas dunares separados del mar por una restinga. Sus principales características son su gran riqueza natural y la excelente cantidad y calidad de sus aguas. En su parte norte encontramos el río Bullent y en la parte sur está el río Racons. Hoy día el Marjal es un conjunto de ecosistemas acuáticos y terrestres que, junto con las áreas dedicadas al cultivo tradicional del arroz y al pastoreo controlado, ha conseguido la

supervivencia de numerosas especies vegetales y animales de alto interés biológico y, en muchos caso, en peligro de extinción. Asimismo en el Marjal se han desarrollado variedades autóctonas de arroz de gran calidad como el bombón y el pegolí, además del extenso cultivo que se realiza de la variedad bomba.

...nature reserve the Pego-Oliva marshland These marshes are the natural frontier between Alicante and Valencia. The Pego-Oliva marshland is a former lagoon which due to the advanced silting process forms a uniform extension of reedbeds with numerous pools of clean water. A network of former irrigation ditches and canals crosses the zone. Its main characteristics are its great natural richness and the excellent cuantity and quality of its celan waters. At its northern side it is crossed by the Bullent river while the Racons river crosses de Southern part. Nowadays, the Pego-Oliva marshland is a collection of aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems that, together with the areas where rice is cultivated and a controlled shepherding is practised, make possible the survival of numerous species of flora and fauna which are of great biological interest or even in danger of extinction. Additionally, in the Marjal, various local species of rice such as the bomba and the pegolí have been harvested again.

…природоохранная территория Мелководье LA MARJAL DE PEGOOLIVA является природной границей между провинциями Аликанте и Валенсия. Речь идет о старой лагуне, которая, благодаря ускоренному процессу наполнения имеет облик дюн отделенных от моря всего лишь мелью.
Культивируя рис без привлечения водонасосной системы, на мелководье Marjal выращиваются разные сорта риса высокого качества, как например “ bombón” и “pegolí”.
К основным особенностям можно отнести отличное качество вод, так как с северной стороны находится река Bullent, а с южной река Racons. На сегодняшний день Marjal представляет собой набор водных подземных и наземных экосистем, вместе с областями, используемыми для традиционного выращивания риса и выпаса скота. Благодаря Marjal выжили многие виды растений и животных представляющих биологический интерес, которые находились под угрозой исчезновения.

el Montgó (sierra litoral) Esta montaña, referencia visual ineludible para cualquiera que se acerque a la Marina Alta, discurre paralela al litoral y se alza sobre los términos de Dénia y Xàbia alcanzando los 753 metros. Su aspecto abrupto y seco desde la distancia esconde aspecto bióticos que le llevaron a ser declarado Parque Natural en 1987. Alberga más de 600 especies de flora, algunas de ellas endémicas (como las siemprevivas) y su fauna está íntimamente ligada a su paisaje y las comunidades vegetales que en él se desarrollan. Así en las zonas de los acantilados encontraremos gaviotas y el halcón peregrino y las zonas rocosas interiores conviven zorros con jabalíes e incluso alguna jineta. En su unión con el mar, del que surge, se dan lugar calas y acantilados así como el Cabo de San Antonio, referencia geográfica en el mapa nacional.
Desde el Montgó se puede contemplar toda la costa, desde Cullera hasta el Penyal d’Ifac e incluso se puede divisar el perfil de la isla de Ibiza en días claros y, según la luz del día y desde donde se contemple, siempre lo veremos de diferentes maneras.

Cabo de San Antonio (reserva marina) Este paraíso para buceadores se encuentra en las profundidades de los acantilados del Montgó, entre Dénia y Xàbia, en la punta más al este del Cabo de San Antonio. Su interesante valor ecológico, científico y paisajístico le viene dado por su elevado número de especies así como por contar con numerosas praderas de posidonia. Se pueden encontrar comunidades coralígenas, algas esciáfilas, esponjas, cigarras de mar, etc. Su alto valor medioambiental restringe su uso y por tanto no está permitido fondear embarcaciones, la pesca recreativa, el
buceo deportivo sin la correspondiente licencia, etc. La práctica de buceo también está controlada, por lo que todo el que esté interesado deberá solicitar un permiso en la Oficina de Turismo de Dénia.

...nature reserve marine reserve Cape of San Antonio This scuba divers’ paradise is located at the depths of the Montgó’s cliffs, between Dénia and Xàbia, at the most easterly point of the Cape of San Antonio. Its high environmental and scientific value comes from its huge number of species as well as from its numerous posydonia prairies. You will be able to find coral colonies, sponges, sea lobsters, groupers, morays, sparids, serranids, corvas, sargos, or salpas.

The Reserve is an area of high environmental value with restricted use where it is forbidden to: anchor ships, sport fishing of any class (on foot, from
the boat and scuba diving), sport scuba diving without the corresponding license. Scuba diving within the Reserve is also controlled and limited and a license must be requested beforehand directly at the Dénia Tourist Office.

Penyal d’Ifac (sierra litoral) Este símbolo indiscutible de la Costa Blanca pertenece al término municipal de Calp y fue el primer Parque Natural declarado en la Comunidad Valenciana. Alcanza los 332 metros de altura y se adentra más de un kilómetro en el mar, en la punta del Carallot. Aunque no es demasiada su extensión (sólo 45 hectáreas) son sus características bioclimáticas, la naturaleza de sus suelos básicos, su situación y su orientación las que le confieren una gran singularidad y dan lugar a una rica y variada flora y vegetación. Acoge más de 80 especies de aves y entre ellas destacan las colonias de gaviotas y cormoranes así como los flamencos y varias especies acuáticas y zancudas. Con respecto a la flora, este espacio natural recoge más de 300 especies catalogadas.
De su entorno destacan las Salinas de Calp que antiguamente formaban una laguna y que el tiempo las cerró con un cordón dunar el viento rellenó de arena.

Penyal d’Ifac (coastal mountain) This huge rock is the indisputable symbol of the Costa Blanca and was the first one to be declared nature reserve, in 1987. Reaching 332 metres above sea level, it jutts out a kilometre into the sea. Although its area is not very extense (only 45 hectares) it has been its bioclimatic characteristics, the nature of its basic soils and its situation and orientation that give the flora and fauna great singularity and variety. It is home to more than 80 species of birds and some 300 species of plant-life. It is also worth mentioning the Salt Flats that occupy a depression filled by quaternary alluvial deposits. The position of the Penyal is a decesive factor for the formation of this interesting humid area.

Penyal d’Ifac Несомненно, эта скала является символом побережья Коста бланка, находится в расположении муниципалитета Кальпе и была объявлена первым Природным заповедником в Валенсийском сообществе. Достигает 332м в высоту и более одного км в глубь моря, на кончике Carallot. Хоть размер горы и не настолько велик (всего 45 га), ее биоклиматические характеристики, земельная природа, месторасположение и ориентация, все это влияет на особенности богатые разнообразием флоры и фауны. Более 80 видов птиц, среди которых выделяются колонии чаек и бакланов, фламинго и другие морские и водные птицы. Что касается флоры, то в этой природной зоне насчитывается более 300 различных видов.
Обязательно стоит обратить внимание на Salinas de Calp, место, которые когда-то было озерами, но со временем ветер их заполнил песком и превратил в дюны.

Callejuelas empedradas, muros centenarios y vetustas casas señoriales nos trasladan al Medievo. No podemos perdernos la antigua Sala del Consell y el Casal dels Joves, ambos del S. XVI, destinados a transacciones comerciales y municipales de su época. La Calle Desamparats con sus amplias construcciones señoriales y escudos de armas destacando la Casa Museo Abargues, que nos traslada al modo de vida de una familia noble del S. XVIII, la Placeta de l´Església Vella (Iglesia Vieja), el Convento de los Padres Franciscanos o la impresionante Catedral de la Marina, símbolo por excelencia de Benissa. Sus playas y calas son de aguas transparentes y tranquilas, casi vírgenes. Entre ellas destacan La Fustera, Els Pinets, La Llobella, Advocat y Baladrar. Las fiestas de Benissa se suceden a lo largo de todo el año. Cabe destacar la gran devoción de los benisseros hacia su patrona, la Puríssima Xiqueta, en honor de la cual se celebra cada año la fiesta mayor, el cuarto domingo de abril. En enero, durante dos semanas se celebra la Fira i Porrat de Sant Antoni. En ella destacan la bendición de los animales y el mercado medieval que tiene lugar el último fin de semana. Además, a finales de junio las calles se llenan de luz y colorido con los Moros y Cristianos, en honor a San Pedro. Finalmente, durante el período estival se suceden diversos actos festivos en las partidas rurales destacando la festividad de Santa Anna el 26 de Julio que culmina con una merienda popular en su ermita. Cada año par se celebra también el Festival Multicultural, con demostraciones folclóricas, gastronómicas y culturales de países de todos los continentes. La tradicional cocina valenciana y laureada dieta mediterránea tienen un hueco en Benissa y sus platos y guisos
autóctonos. Algunos de sus platos son el “putxero de polp”, “bull amb ceba”, “mullador de pelleta” o “sang amb ceba”. Benissa también puede alardear de sus embutidos, como la sobrasada, “els blanquets”, las longanizas y las morcillas, conocidos en toda la comarca. Todas estas especialidades benisseras las podemos degustar en dos eventos gastronómicos ya consolidados en Benissa, la Mostra Gastronòmica Benissa en marzo, y la Ruta de tapas durante el período estival.

In the heart of La Marina Alta, Benissa brings surprises at every step. It is a true pleasure strolling through the old town in Benissa. Cobbled streets, centuries-old walls and stately homes transport us back to the Middle Ages. We cannot miss the old Sala del Consell and the Casal dels Joves, both buildings from the 17 th. century that bring us back to the local way of merchandising. In the street named Desamparats we can find noble buildings with coats of arms of which we can visit the Casa Museo Abargues, where we can go back to the lifestyle of the nobility in the 18 th. century. We also recommend paying a visit to the Placeta de l’Esglèsia Vella (Old Church square), the Convento de los Padres Franciscanos and the impressive Cathedral of La Marina, a symbol par excellence of Benissa. Its beaches and bays, with their crystalclear waters are calm, peaceful and unspoilt. Amongst them are La Fustera, Els Pinets, La Llobella, Advocat and Baladrar. They extend along four kilometres as far as the cliff-faces, a route that is known as the Paseo Ecológico because of its environmental value and rural beauty. Benissa’s fiestas take place throughout the year. It is quite remarkable the great devotion of the townspeople towards their patron saint, La Puríssima Xiqueta, to whom the town dedicates its main fiestas on the fourth Sunday of April. In January, the Fira i Porrat de Sant Antoni takes place over two weeks. During this festival, animals are blessed and a Medieval fair takes place during the last weekend. The

Moors and Christians fiestas in honour of San Pedro fill the streets of colour and sound in the last week of June. Also, the many rural districts celebrate their fiestas mainly throughout summer being remarkable the festivity of Santa Anna, the 26 th. of July, that ends up with a picnic outside the hermitage. Every even year takes place a Multicultural Festival where there are shows of the folklore, cookery and culture of countries from all continents. The traditional Valencian cuisine and the reknown Mediterranean food are present in Benissa’s recipes and dishes. Names such as “Bull amb ceba“, “Mullador de pelleta“, “Sang amb ceba“ or “Putxero de polp“ wet everybody’s appetite.The variety of rice dishes is nearly endless and hand-made sausages (such as “sobrasada“, “blanquets“, “longanizas“ and “morcillas“) deserve a special mention. They have carried both Benissa’s and the Marina’s names all over the nation thanks to their delicious flavours and to the ancient recipes still used by local butchers. All this plates can be tasted in two already consolidated gastronomic events: la Mostra Gastronòmica Benissa (in March) and the “Tapas” route held in summer months.

Calp Calp es un refugio para el viajero, una invitación para los sentidos. Es la naturaleza en la que se funden mar y montaña bajo la protección del Peñón de Ifach que custodia su cultura y sus leyendas. Bajo su abrigo, se encuentra una ciudad llena de historia y cultura y en continua creación e innovación. En el casco antiguo de Calp, junto al barrio morisco del Arrabal, se levanta el conjunto formado por el Torreó de la Peça, las Murallas y la Iglesia Antigua, único ejemplar de estilo gótico-mudéjar en la Comunidad Valenciana. Para conocer más este casco antiguo podemos dejarnos guiar por una ruta señalizada a través de la cual conoceremos interesante lugares y edificios. Bordeando el mar se extienden dos modernos Paseos Marítimos, siendo en el Infanta Elena donde se encuentra el conjunto arqueológico del yacimiento los “Baños de la Reina”, yacimiento arqueológico con restos de una piscifactoría.

La cocina de Calp se basa especialmente en platos cuyo principal ingrediente son los sabrosos pescados de la bahía, atrapados diariamente por la flota pesquera (rape, caballa, pulpo, sardina, etc). La “Llauna de Calp” y el “Arròs de Senyoret” son los más representativos, y muchos restaurantes del municipio lo ofrecen en sus cartas como especialidad. Además, en Calp los hornos elaboran a diario las tradicionales cocas (tortas de harina, que pueden llevar tanto ingredientes dulces como salados), y los sabrosos dulces de almendras y pasas. Calp is a shelter for the traveller, an invitation to the senses. It is nature that brings together sea and mountain under the protection of the great Peñón de Ifach rock that guards its culture and legends. Under the shelter of this unmistakable symbol of the whole Costa Blanca we can find a town full of history and culture that is also in continuos creative and innovative movement. In the old town, next to the Moorish suburb of Arrabal, rises the estate formed by the Torreó de Peça, the Ramparts and the Old Church, the only example of a gothic-mudejar style in the Community of Valencia. In order to make our visit to this old town part, we can follow the fully signposted route through which we will also discover some interesting places. Bordering the sea, two modern promenades invite us to enjoy of a nice walk. Also, in the promenade named as Paseo Infanta Elena, we can visit the archaeological remains of an an ancient Roman village, once forming part of the fish factory known as the Baños de la Reina. Due to its geographic situation and its exceptional climate, Calp offers the most opportunities for enjoying different sporting activities along the whole year: sailing, diving, tennis, climbing, row, trekking, etc. At the same time, the cultural variety of this area can be seen in the wide range of festivals offered throughout the year which reflect the history, traditions and soul of its people. Fiestas as the one in agost in honour of its Saint Patron Virgen de las Nieves, the Moors and Christians festival in honour of Cristo del Sudor (in October) and the consolidated Oktoberfest, reissued every year by the German residents of Calp. The cookery of Calp is mainly based on dishes whose most important ingredients are the delicious fish of the bay (monkfish, mackerel, octopus, sardine, etc). The Llauna de Calp and the Arròs de Senyoret are the most representative and a lot of restaurants in town offer them as speciality. Furthermore, in Calp, bakeries prepare every day the traditional cocas (flour pastry with salted or sweet ingredients), and delicious home made cakes and pastries with almonds and raisins. Dénia En la provincia de Alicante, justo en el límite por la costa con la provincia de Valencia, Dénia es capital de la comarca de la Marina Alta. A medio camino entre Valencia y Alicante, es el punto peninsular más cercano a la Isla de Ibiza, con transporte regular a las Islas Baleares. Las Playas. Dénia cuenta con largas playas de arena, al norte de la ciudad, en la zona de Las Marinas. Y en la zona sur, conocida como las Rotas hallamos una playa de arena seguida por calas rocosas de gran belleza. Al final de las Rotas observamos los acantilados del Cabo San Antonio. A los pies del Cabo y extendiéndose por las calas de las Rotas, las aguas conforman la Reserva Marina del Cabo S. Antonio, zona protegida de alto valor ecológico. La Ciudad. Como recorrido por la ciudad, proponemos salir desde la Oficina de Turismo para dirigirnos al Museo del Juguete que posee una interesante muestra de la industria juguetera de principios del S.XX. Muy cerca se sitúa, la calle Marqués de Campo, calle principal fácilmente reconocible por los grandes bananeros. En la cercana plaza del Convento se sitúa la Iglesia de San Antonio.

Ascendiendo la calle principal, subiremos la C/ Cop (peatonal) para encontrarnos con el Ayuntamiento -edificio histórico digno de observar-, la Iglesia de La Asunción (S. XVIII) y las calles colindantes que conforman la zona del Centro Histórico, con calles como Cavallers, Major, San José y Loreto. En la calle Cavallers se encuentra el Museo Etnológico donde se muestra la Dénia del S. XIX enriquecida por el comercio de la pasa. En la Calle Loreto, típica calle de tapeo, peatonal y de ambiente distendido, se sitúa el Convento de Ntra. Sra. de Loreto. Junto al Ayuntamiento, unas escaleras nos conducen al Castillo de Dénia, monumento más emblemático de la ciudad. En su parte alta se encuentra el “Palau del Governador” que alberga el Museo Arqueológico de la ciudad. En los alrededores del Castillo hallamos el barrio de Les Roques con calles estrechas y con casas de escasa altura. Descendiendo por la calle Trinidad llegaremos a los muros exteriores del castillo para dirigirnos al barrio de marineros llamado “Baix la Mar” donde destacan las típicas plazas de Sant Antoni y la placeta de la Creu.
Una gastronomía única. Destaca la famosa gamba roja de Dénia, protagonista del Concurso Internacional de Cocina Creativa de la Gamba Roja de Dénia. También debemos mencionar el inigualable “arròs a banda” el cual es el protagonista del Forum “Arròs a banda & A banda de l’arròs” y la Semana Gastronómica del “Arròs a Banda”. La alta calidad de nuestros productos autóctonos y el buen hacer de nuestros chefs que saben cómo combinar innovación y tradición en la elaboración de sus platos, ha hecho posible que Dénia haya sido reconocida, en diciembre 2015, como “Ciudad Creativa de la Gastronomía” por la UNESCO. Entre otras especialidades cabe mencionar el “espencat”, “la llandeta”, el “suquet de peix”, los erizos de mar, el pulpo seco… suculentos platos que se pueden degustar en los casi 300
restaurantes de Dénia. Fiestas. Con más de 650 especies de flora, el Parque Natural situado en el monte Montgó posee senderos señalizados de diversas dificultades que te acercan a puntos tales como el “Racó del bou”, las cuevas llamadas “Cova de l’Aigua” y “Cova del Camell” o a la “Creueta” en su cima, a 753 m. de altitud.

The Beaches. Dénia has long sandy beaches to the north, in the area of Las Marinas. In the southern area, known as Las Rotas, we find a sandy beach which leads to rocky coves of great beauty. At the end of the Rotas we observe the cliffs of Cape San Antonio. At the foot of the Cape and extending through the coves of Las Rotas, the waters form the Cape S. Antonio Marine Reserve, a protected area of high ecological value. Town centre. To get to know this area of the city, we suggest a walking route starting from the Tourist Office to the Toy Museum, which has an interesting collection from the toy industry of the early twentieth century. Very close by, the Marqués de Campo Street is the main street and is easily recognisable by its big trees on each side of the street. In the nearby Plaza del Convento it is the Church of San Antonio. Going up the main street, we get to Cop Street (pedestrian street) to find the Town Hall, a historical building worth seeing, the Church of La Asunción (18th century) and the adjacent streets that make up the Historical Centre area, such as Cavallers, Major, San José and Loreto. The Ethnological Museum is situated in Cavallers Street, where Dénia from the 19th century, enriched by the raisin trade, is on display. On Calle Loreto, a typical tapas street, pedestrianised and with a relaxed atmosphere, is the Convent of Our Lady of Loreto. Next to the Town Hall, stairs lead us to the Castle of Dénia, the most emblematic monument of the city. In its upper part the “Palau del Governador” houses the Archaeological Museum of the city. surroundings of the Castle we find the district of Les Roques with narrow streets and low houses. Going down Trinidad Street we reach the outer walls of the castle to arrive at the sailors’ quarter called “Baix la Mar” where the typical squares of Sant Antoni and the placeta de la Creu stand out. Mount Montgó Natural Park: With more than 650 species of flora, the Natural Park, located on Mount Montgó has many marked trails of various difficulties that take you to points such as the “Racó del bou”, the caves called “Cova de l’Aigua” and “Cova del Camell” or to the “Creueta” at the top, at an altitude of 753 m. A unique gastronomy. The famous Dénia red prawn is the protagonist of the International Creative Cuisine Contest of the Gamba Roja de Dénia. We must also mention the unique “arròs a banda” which is the protagonist of the Forum “Arròs a banda & A banda de l’arròs” and the Gastronomic Week of “Arròs a banda”. The high quality of local products and the good work of our chefs, who know how to combine innovation and tradition, have made it possible for Dénia to be awareded, in December 2015, as a “Creative City of Gastronomy” by UNESCO. Antigua venta árabe, el carácter de sus gentes viene definido por haber sido punto de paso de múltiples culturas. En la actualidad sorprende cómo ha sabido mantener la sencillez presentándose a los visitantes como un pueblo moderno, hospitalario, tolerante donde disfrutar de una de las villas costeras más tranquilas de la Costa Blanca. El núcleo urbano del Poble Nou de Benitatxell se encuentra en lo alto de una conformación costera y lo reconoceremos por la impresionante cúpula azul de su iglesia. El macizo del Puig Llorença, al caer sobre el Mediterráneo da lugar a un impresionante tesoro, la Cala del Moraig. Allí mismo, la Cova dels Arcs se nos presenta como un monumento que la naturaleza esculpió en gratitud a este pueblo. Por su parte, la Falla del Moraig es un ejemplo de falla normal que discurre paralela a la Cala del Moraig, pasa por la Cova dels Arcs y llega hasta el mar. A pocos metros, nos encontramos con la Cala dels Testos. Una pequeña y acogedora cala, casi inaccesible pero que también nos hará contener el aliento al descubrir su belleza. Dentro del calendario de fiestas de este municipio destacan, en el mes de mayo, las fiestas en honor a la Verge del Roser. Aunque sin duda alguna el mes de fiesta por excelencia es julio ya que del 20 al 30 de julio se celebran las fiestas patronales en honor a Santa Mª Magdalena, San Roque, San Cristóbal y San Jaime.
De su variada gastronomía resaltan platos como el “Puchero dominical” con la “pilota dolça”, el “arròs amb fessols i naps” y los platos que tienen como base las habas. Las habas son un producto muy ligado al municipio que, incluso, les dedica anualmente una jornada gastronómica, la “Festa del Vi i la Fava”. El Ayuntamiento del Poble Nou de Benitatxell lidera desde 2012 un proyecto innovador de agricultura ecológica que incorpora la técnica ecológica en el cultivo de la uva moscatel. De este proyecto han surgido productos como la uva de mesa, “BioMoscatell del Poble Nou de Benitatxell” el vino blanco “Moraig” y el zumo de moscatel ecológico.

In May El Poble Nou de Benitatxell celebrates its festivals in honour of the Virgin of Roser. However, the best mont for fiestas is July, given that the locals celebrate from July 20-30th, the local festivals in honour of Saint Mary Magdelene, Sant Roc, Saint Christopher and Saint James. Parades, public balls, horse and carriage processions and the popular bull-runs take place.
Its varied gastronomy includes dishes such as “Puchero dominical” with “pilota dolça”, “arròs amb fessols i naps” and recipes with the broad bean as their basis. Broad beans are closely linked to the town, which organises a gastronomic event every year, the “Festa del Vi i la Fava. Since 2012 El Poble Nou de Benitatxell’s Town Hall is leading an innovative Project of ecological agriculture that uses organic techniques for farming the muscatel grape. As a result, there are products such as the grape known as “BioMoscatell del Poble Nou de Benitatxell”, the white wine “Moraig” and the ecologic muscatel juice.

El Poble Nou de Benitatxell’s coastline is formed by a series of sheer, vertical clifffaces of more than 100 metres in height than plunge into the sea and give the visitor the most beautiful panoramic views. The Puig Llorença cliff falls into the Mediterranean sea and hides an amazing natural treasure, the Cala del Moraig cove. Right there, nature itself built a grateful monument, the Cova dels Arcs. Also, the Falla del Moraig (Moraig’s Fault) is an example of a common fault that runs parallel to the Moraig’s Fault, crosses through the Cova dels Arcs and gets into the sea. Only a few metres from there, the Cala dels Testos is a small and cosy cove, almost inaccessible, that will take our breath when finding its beauty.

El Poble Nou de Benitatxell Бенитачель, находящийся на юго-востоке региона Марина Альта, сохранил в себе всё разнообразие и естественность хода вещей. В середине июня в Бенитачеле наступает время для фиесты «Мавры и Христиане», а с 22 по 25 июля жители и гости города радуются наступлению времени воздания почестейСвятым покровителям Бенитачеля - Святой Марии Магдалине (Santa Mª Magdalena), Святому Роке (San Roque), Святому Кристобалю (San Cristóbal) и Святому Хайме (San Jaime).
Улицы украшаются, проводятся церковные службы, люди наслаждаются праздником днём и, в особенности, ночью, когда в центре города выпускают быков - “bous al carrer” – традиционная народная забава, приносящая радость и острые ощущения. Els Poblets Els Poblets es un paréntesis de tranquilidad en medio de la vorágine turística que le rodea. Resulta increíble descubrir este relajado y familiar pueblo costero a escasos kilómetros de Dénia. Sus calles y edificios nos invitan al paseo sosegado y curioso. Caminando por sus calles y caminos rurales encontramos singulares edificios como los dos templos situados en su casco urbano: la pequeña iglesia de Sant Josep y la parroquia del Salvador. Además, no olvida su entorno agrícola y así es fácil encontrar también casas de labranza o almazaras que centralizaron la recolección del olivo, del almendro y de la vid.

Pero no olvidemos que estamos en un pueblo costero por lo que casi nuestro instinto nos llevará hasta la playa de la Almadrava, donde desemboca el anteriormente mencionado río Girona. Una extensa y tranquila playa de aguas claras formada con los cantos rodados que el río ha ido arrastrando a su paso. En las cercanías de esta playa encontramos un notable ejemplo de la cultura romana. La zona excavada del yacimiento de l’Almadrava corresponde a parte de una alfarería romana. La sencillez de su gastronomía es prueba de las exquisitas materias primas con las que cuenta. Todavía se mantiene la elaboración artesanal de los salazones que se pueden saborear en sabrosas tapas como la mojama, las anchoas, la melva, el bacalao o el bull.
Como pueblo marinero su gastronomía está ligada al mar. Combinado con el arroz, en cualquiera de los bares y restaurantes de Els Poblets podemos disfrutar de docenas de platos a los que también se añaden las hortalizas propias de cada temporada. Els Poblets Els Poblets is a hiatus of tranquility amid the tourist maelstrom around it. It is amazing to discover this relaxed and family seaside village only a few kilometers away from Dénia. Its streets and buildings invite us to a quiet and curious walk. Walking through its streets and rural roads we will find unique buildings such as the two temples in the town center: the little church of Sant Josep and the parish of the Salvador. Gata de Gorgos El recorrido de Gata comienza junto a los márgenes del río Gorgos donde se encuentran los parques de la Font del Riu y El Arrabal. El paseo se inicia en los antiguos secaderos de pasa, pasando por las esculturas que conforman el Museo al Aire Libre hasta llegar a Les Coves Roges desde donde podrán ver una vista panorámica de todo el pueblo. Entre estas zonas verdes asoma la Iglesia de San Miguel Arcángel que data del s. XVII y el Centro Social Integrado, donde podemos encontrar la Biblioteca Pública. Fuera del núcleo urbano, otro de los edificios emblemáticos es la Ermita del Santísimo Cristo del Calvario, una construcción de estilo neoclásico situada en la zona del Tossalet. En las afueras de Gata se puede pasear para ver el antiguo lavadero municipal conocido como La Rana, hoy en desuso pero rehabilitado y adaptado como lugar de descanso bajo el Eucaliptos centenario que lo cobija. Otro paraje importante de Gata es la Font de la Mata situada en la zona más alta del pueblo donde los visitantes podrán admirar la flora autóctona y una mata milenaria, de ahí la procedencia de su nombre. Además, Gata está en un valle de singular belleza, con su suave relieve y los característicos bancales de piedra debidos a la mano e influencia morisca. El paseo prosigue por las calles principales,

en las que podemos comprobar su merecida fama de Bazar de la Costa Blanca, al encontrarnos con su gran escaparate de productos artesanos que se exponen en las puertas de los más de cincuenta comercios, que venden desde un simple cesto, guitarras hechas a mano y hasta los muebles más trabajados en médula y mimbre. La palma es otro elemento ancestral de la artesanía de Gata, con la que se elaboran capazos, sombreros, esteras y alpargatas, además del esparto siguiendo el método tradicional para uso de las sociedades agrícolas. Como fiestas locales, en Gata celebramos el 17 de enero la festividad de San Antonio Abad, el 6 de agosto las fiestas Patronales de Santísimo Cristo del Calvario y el 29 de septiembre las fiestas de San Miguel. El Auto de los Reyes Magos es otra de las festividades importantes que se celebra el 5 de enero y en la que participan más de 400 personas del municipio. Art al Vent es una exposición itinerante de arte textil contemporáneo, en la que se exhiben a lo largo de la Calle la Bassa más de 120 obras de artistas de 25 países. Se puede visitar durante los meses de agosto y septiembre durante las 24 horas del día, ya que es una exposición al aire libre. La cultura gastronómica es también una tradición, a base de platos como “coques de tomaca, ceba i escaldades”, “faves sacsades”, “arròs al forn” y mucho más.
Our route into Gata starts at the side of the river Gorgos, where you can enjoy of the parks called Font del Riu and El Arrabal. We start our walk at the old raisin driers and continue passing by the sculptures created by its Open Air Museum until we arrive into Les Coves Roges, from where we can admire a panoramic view of the whole village. From inside these green areas the San Miguel Arcángel church, from the 17th century, appears, as the Centro Social Integrado, where the Public Library is. Outside the urban area, there is another emblematic building, the hermitage of the Santísimo Cristo del Calvario, a neoclassical building you can find on the Tossalet area. One can take a walk outside Gata to see the old municipal sink, known as “La Rana” (the frog), that is not used today. However, it has been rebuilt and it is a resting place under an ancient eucalyptus. Another important area in Gata is the one called “Font de la Mata”, at the upper part of the village. A place where visitors can also admire autochthonous flora and a millenary bush.

As local Fiestas in Gata we celebrate the festivity in honour of San Antonio Abad the 17th of January. Also, the 6th of August is the celebration of its main fiestas, in honour of the Santísimo Cristo del Calvario and the 29th of September is the celebration in honour of San Miguel. Another important festivity is the presentation of the Three Wise Men, the 5th of January that counts with the participation of more than 400 people from Gata.
Gata is also in a valley of great beauty, with a smooth relief and its typical stone terraces, inherited by its Moorish past.
In terms of culture, one must talk about Art al Vent, a traveling exhibition of contemporary textile exhibited along the street called Bassa with more than 120 works of artists from more than 25 different countries. This exhibition can be visited during August and September, 24 hours a day, since it is an open air exhibition.

Кроме ковыля, еще один материал для типичного ремесла городка Гата – древесина пальмы, из нее производятся корзины, шляпы, коврики и сандалии. Самыми популярными местными праздниками/фестивалями являются: “праздник Святого Антонио Абад”, который празднуется 17-го января в г. Гата, 6-го августа “праздник покровителей Святого Христа дель Калварио” и 29-го сентября “праздник Святого Мигеля”, а 5-го января отмечается важный праздник “КоролейВолшебников” с шествием, участие в котором принимают более 400 местных жителей. “Арт аль Вент” - это название передвижной выставки посвещенной искуству современного текстиля, в которой выставляются в доль всей улицы “ла Басса” более чем 120 произведений из 25 различных стран мира. Ее можно посетить в месяцах август и сентябрь в течении 24 часа в сутки, так как выставка расположенна под открытым небом. Luego seguimos nuestra ruta por la CV-700 hacia L’Atzúbia, donde veremos la iglesia de San Vicente Ferrer y, si avisamos con tiempo, entraremos en la Cueva del Canelobre (Tel. 965571358). En la pedanía de Forna visitaremos el castillo palacio con sus grafitis medievales (Tel. 636591508). Más adelante divisaremos la Penya Foradà que domina la Vall de Gallinera. Y recorreremos la Ruta de los 8 Pueblos: Benirrama, Benialí, Benissivà, Benitaia, La Carroja, Alpatró, Llombai y Benissili. Nos detendremos a admirar alguno de los abrigos de pinturas rupestres, declarados Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la Unesco.

Después, en La Vall d’Ebo, nos adentraremos en la Cova del Rull, abierta al público, que destaca por sus estalagmitas y estalactitas. Aprovecha para comprar el embutido típico y hacer una pausa en alguno de sus cinco bares. Esta zona cuenta con una excelente oferta de alojamientos, restaurantes, hornos y
carnicerías. Su gastronomía se basa en los productos del terreno, como son el arroz, las naranjas, las cerezas y el aceite. No dejes de degustar los “figatells” y las “cocas”.

A continuación, seguimos por la CV712 hacia La Vall d’Alcalà. A nuestra derecha, desde la carretera, divisamos el bello pueblo de Beniaia, donde llama la atención el colorido de sus casas. Continuamos hacia Alcalà de la Jovada, lugar donde nació el caudillo Al-Azraq y combatió contra el Rey Jaume I de Aragón en el siglo XIII. Allí veremos varios despoblados moriscos, como el de L’Atzuvieta, y la Nevera de Baix, un pozo de nieve del siglo XVII.
Su gran atractivo es la belleza paisajística de sus montañas. Disfrútala paso a paso, a través de su amplia red de senderos, con diferentes niveles de dificultad que permiten la práctica del senderismo tanto si eres aficionado como experto.

Later on, you will see the Penya Foradà, which dominates Vall de Gallinera. You can also go over the Route of the 8 Villages: Benirrama, Benialí, Benissivà, Benitaia, La Carroja, Alpatró, Llombai and Benissili. And do not forget to stop by and admire some of the cave paintings in the area, declared World Heritage by Unesco. You will continue next along the CV-712 road towards La Vall d’Alcalà. To your right, from the road, you will see Beniaia’s village, which stands out for its colourful houses. Then you will get to Alcalà de la Jovada, the place where the commander Al-Azraq was born and fought against the king Jaume I of Aragón in the 13th century. There you will see some abandoned morisco villages such as L’Atzuvieta, and La Nevera de Baix, a snow well dating from the 17th century. Afterwards, in La Vall d’Ebo, you will get inside the Cova del Rull, a cave open to
the public known for its stalagmites and stalactites. Remember to buy some of the typical cured dry sausages and to stop by in any of its five bars. This area has excellent accommodations, restaurants, bakeries and butcher’s on offer. Its gastronomy is mainly based on land products such as rice, oranges, cherries and olive oil. Teulada-Moraira Con terrazas abancaladas que descienden desde los 185 m hasta el nivel del mar, legado de una historia milenaria y de la naturaleza, el litoral de este municipio de la Marina Alta, enmarcado entre el Cap d´Or y la Punta de l’Estrella, invita a vivir una pequeña aventura que seguro no defraudará a ninguno de los que se acerque a este peculiar rincón de Mediterráneo. Teulada-Moraira contiene un rasgo distintivo que le confiere la suerte de tener dos núcleos urbanos. En el caso de Teulada cabe destacar que su centro histórico ha sido declarado Bien de Interés Cultural (BIC) en la categoría de Conjunto Histórico. La Teulada Gótica Amurallada, que presenta características únicas en la Comunidad Valenciana, es un conjunto formado por edificios tan emblemáticos como la Iglesia Parroquial de Sta. Catalina, la Ermita de la Divina Pastora y el edificio civil denominado Sala de Jurats i Justícies, que alberga el “Centre d’Estudis Vicentins”. El patrimonio histórico-artístico se complementa con la Ermita de San Vicente Ferrer, también en Teulada y la Ermita de la Font Santa, de camino a Moraira. En sus 8 km de costa descansan playas galardonadas con la bandera qualitur y la bandera azul que otorga la comunidad europea y poseedoras de la Certificación de los Sistemas de Calidad ISO 9001 y Gestión Medioambiental ISO 14001. Destacan por su cuidada limpieza, inmejorable calidad de aguas y sus diversos y cómodos servicios y actividades. Playas como la de El Portet, de arena fina y aguas cristalinas, reconocible por su forma de concha. A los pies del Castillo se extiende l’Ampolla, la más concurrida, urbana y extensa de las playas de fina arena dorada de la localidad. Playa accesible. Galardonada con la Distinción de Información y Educación Ambiental por la Fundación Europea de Educación Ambiental (FEE). Más al sur se sitúan Les Platgetes, dos pequeñas calas de aguas limpias que alternan zona de arena y de roca. A poca distancia comienzan los impresionantes acantilados. En ese entorno se sitúa la Cala Andragó. Sus rocas y la profundidad de sus aguas transparentes son perfectas para la práctica del buceo y la pesca. El litoral continúa abrupto, alcanzando su prolongación máxima en la Punta de l’Estrella por la similitud de su forma con el brazo de una estrella de mar. En su otra vertiente se ubica la Cala Cap Blanc. El buceo es una de las ofertas deportivas y de ocio más interesantes. El Club Náutico de Moraira está considerado como uno de los mejores puertos deportivos de la Comunidad Valenciana y es eje de una zona de gran animación. Cuenta con centros de vela y de buceo, y en él se organizan varias competiciones, como las 300 millas de MorairaTrofeo Grefusa, el Campeonato de España de Regularidad, la Regata de Altura de la Amistad o la Gourmet Race. Además de tenis, mini-golf, karting, pádel, fútbol, vela, buceo, kayak, SUP, paseos en barco, jet sky, skateboard o gimnasia en la playa durante el verano y mucho más, los más pequeños también pueden disfrutar en las amplias zonas de juegos infantiles repartidas por los dos cascos urbanos. Además, en verano, visitas guiadas y visitas teatralizadas en el centro histórico de Teulada y el Voramar Street Jazz Festival.
El producto estrella son las Mistelas de Moscatel y los vinos de licor de Moscatel, reconocidos con premios a nivel internacional.
La oferta cultural se completa con la extensa programación que se desarrolla en el Auditori Teulada Moraira, edificio inaugurado en 2011, obra del reconocido arquitecto Francisco Mangado.
En cuanto a los dulces hay que destacar la “Coca María” de almendra, los “pastissets de boniato” y las “monas” típicas de Pascua.
La calidad de la gastronomía de esta localidad queda demostrada en su numerosa y variada oferta de restaurantes en los que disfrutar de especies de mar capturadas de manera artesanal. Estos productos son la base de reconocidos platos tradicionales como el arroz meloso de pulpo, el arròs del senyoret, el putxero de polp o el suquet de peix. Sin olvidar las típicas salazones como melva, bull o anxova. La producción de la variedad de la uva autóctona “Moscatel Romano”, de gran poder aromático, hace posible la elaboración de importantes vinos de referencia. El microclima existente y la brisa marina del Mediterráneo imprime carácter y personalidad a estos vinos.

In the typical and picturesque streets of the fishing quarter in Moraira we will find the “Margenot”, the old retaining and protective wall, from the days of rough seas, the Plaza de la Sort, the Parish Church of Nuestra Señora de los Desamparados, and the emblematic Castle of Moraira. In its 8 kms of coastline we find beaches awarded with the Qualitur Flag and the Blue Flag, granted by the European Community and holders of the certificate for quality systems ISO 9001 and environment management ISO 14001. They stand out for their care and cleanliness, unbeatable water quality and their diverse and comfortable services and activities. Beaches such as the shell-shaped bay of El Portet, with fine sand and crystalclear waters. At the foot of the Castle lies L’Ampolla, the most popular, cosmopolitan and extensive of the sandy beaches in the town. A beach also with disabled access has been awarded with Honors of Environmental Information and Education by the FEE (European Foundation for the Environmental Education). Further south, Les Platgetes, two small coves with clean waters that alternate between sand and rock. A short distance away the impressive cliffs begin, where the Cala Andragó can be found. Its rocks and the depth of its clear waters are perfect for diving and fishing. Teulada-Moraira has 5 spectacular underwater routes (Laberinto, Cap d’Or, Portet, Andragó and Cap Blanc) that show a submarine world full of colour and natural richness. Specialized companies offer training courses, guided diving routes, full equipment rentals and sea baptisms. The Club Náutico of Moraira is considered one of the best ports in the Valencian Community and offers a great number of facilities. It has sailing and diving centres, and several competitions are organised there, such as the 300-mile Moraira-Trofeo Grefusa, the Campeonato de España de Regularidad, The Regata de Altura de la Amistad or the Gourmet Race. Besides the wide activities on offer (tennis, mini-golf, karting, padel tennis, football, sailing, diving, kayaking, SUP, jet skiing, skateboarding or gym on the beach during summer time and much more), children can also play in the many playgrounds located in both town centres. Необходимо отметить чистоту и ухоженность пляжей и высокое качество воды и наличие разнообразных сервисов и удобств. Из них их пляж del Portet можно узнать по его форме в виде раковины. У подножия замка (Castillo) простирается городской пляж l’Ampolla, наиболее посещаемый окрестными жителями. Этот пляж получил сертификацию Европейского Фонда Экологического развития (FEE). Южнее располагаются две бухты Les Platgets. с чистейшими водами и каменно- песчаными пляжами. Поблизости от Les Platgetes находятся живописные горы и бухта Cala Andragó - идеальное место для занятий дайвингом и рыбной ловлей. Максимальной ширины побережье достигает в Punta de l’aEstrella, это место названо так за схожесть с рукой морской звезды. С противоположной стороны побережье Морайры-Теулады оканчивается бухтой Cala Cap Blanc. Побережье Морайра-Теулады представляет собой особый интерес для занятий подводным плаванием. У Вас есть возможность остановить свой выбор на одном из пяти известных подводных маршрутов (Laberinto, Cap d’Or, Portet, Andragó и Cap Blanc) чтобы полюбоваться красотами местной морской флоры и фауны. Он имеет парусные центры подводного плавания, а также организуют такие соревнования, как 300 millas de Moraira-Trofeo Grefusa, El Campeonato de España de Regularidad, La Regata de Altura de la Amistad или La Gourmet Race. Xàbia/Jávea Xàbia es sin duda uno de los lugares más emblemáticos del litoral mediterráneo. Su pasado medieval salta a la vista en cada uno de los rincones del Casco Histórico. Destaca la Iglesia-Fortaleza de San Bartolomé, del siglo XV, y declarada Monumento Artístico Nacional así como el Museo Arqueológico y Etnográfico en un palacio gótico del siglo XVII. Llaman la atención las fachadas blancas, adornadas con rejas de hierro forjado y ventanales góticos, y la famosa piedra tosca como podemos contemplar en El Mercado de Abastos, la Capilla de Santa Ana, el Ayuntamiento y diferentes casas góticas. Fuera ya de la población resaltan los antiguos Molinos de viento y el Santuari Mare de Déu dels Àngels, ambos situados en la Ctra. al Cabo de Sant Antoni, y las pequeñas ermitas dispersas por el municipio. de Norte a Sur, se suceden los 15 Miradores, situados en los cabos de Sant Antoni, cabo de La Nau, Cap Prim y Cap Negre. La costa de Xàbia tiene una extensión de 25 km. con playas y calas de belleza natural, agua transparente y su entorno de bosque mediterráneo. Ejemplos son la Playa de la Grava, el Arenal, Cala Blanca, la Cala de la Barraca, la Cala de la Granadella y la Cala nudista de Ambolo. Además, no solo Xàbia es conocida como un destino de buceo, sino que también el senderismo tiene su espacio gracias a las rutas establecidas.

Las fiestas más relevantes se celebran en honor a Jesús Nazareno a finales de abril y principios de mayo; las Fogueres de Sant Joan en junio, siendo la Nit dels Focs de Sant Joan declarada “Festa d’Interés Turístic Local de la Comunitat Valenciana”; los desfiles de Moros y Cristianos en julio y las fiestas de la Mare de Déu de Loreto en septiembre. Xàbia/Jávea Xàbia, privileged corner, is without doubt one of the prettiest areas on the Mediterranean coast. Xàbia’s Medieval history is still present in every corner of its Old Town. It is remarkable the Church-Fortress of San Bartolomé, from the 15th century and in Elizabethan gothic, declared Historical National Monument. The Ethnological and Archeological Museum is situated in a gothic Palace from the 17th century. The old town is outstanding for its white façades decorated with fences of forged iron, gothic large windows and its most characteristic element, the rough stonework. We can find all these elements in the Municipal Market, the Chapel of Santa Ana and the Town Hall building. In the Port area, the modern silhouette of the Church of the Virgen de Loreto stands out due to its shape of a keel. Outside the town, we should pay a visit to its

Xàbia’s coastline is 25 km. long and presents beaches and coves of an amazing beauty, with crystal-clear water and surrounded by a purely Mediterranean landscape. We can pinpoint the Beach of La Grava, El Arenal, Cala Blanca, Cala de la Barranca, Cala de la Granadella and the nudist beach Ambolo. Besides, Xàbia is not only known for being a scuba diving destination but for being a great place for hiking too.
Any time of the year is perfect for trying out Xàbias varied and delicious gastronomy: rice dishes such as “arroz a banda”, “a la marinera”, “con costra”, “al horno” and “paella”. Fish dishes such as the succulent “suc roig”, “cruet de peix” and fried fish or the tasty salted whitebait, anchovies, tuna, “bull” and the traditional “borreta de melva”. “Cocas” with pepper, tomato and onion are typical too, as well as snails with “bull” and onion.

В районе порта находиться современная церковь Nuestra Señora de Loreto, она привлекает внимание своей крышей в форме корабельного киля. С севера на юг расположились 15 смотровых площадок в живописных местах, таких как los Cabos de San Antoni, cabo de la Nau, Cap Prim, Cap Negre, на побережье будто рассыпаны бухты и пляжи необыкновенной красоты. Протяженность побережья Xàbia составляет 25км с пляжами и бухтами, привлекающими туристов своей необычайно, райской красотой, прозрачными водами и Среднеземноморскими лесами.
