LIFE PRIORITIES By Dale Schaechterle
It’s December, traditionally an incredible time of gathering together with friends and family, retelling stories from the past and sharing dreams for the future. And yet, it’s December 2020, which means we are nearing the end of the strangest year ever in terms of “gathering”. It has been difficult to manage and balance between our great need for friendship, community, and social interaction - with legitimate health concerns. My hope and prayer is 2021 brings the resurrection of peace for the people of our country, the restoration of handshakes, an abundance of hugs, and unrestricted gatherings together with friends and family - all without fear. Goodbye 2020, we really can’t say we’ll miss you! Don’t let this year’s journey prevent you from creating a vision for next year! Here are a few key ingredients and helpful reminders for making 2021 your best year ever in business, while honoring your life priorities. Recipe: * Create a written “wish list” as a plan to honor your business and life goals for 2021 * Divide the list into categories: Personal, Health & Fitness, Business, Financial, Spiritual* Establish 3-5 goals for each category - DREAM BIG! * From your “wish list”, take 3-5 each month, and make them a “priority” - make it visual! * Work with Dale, or another Coach/Mentor to hold yourself accountable Healthy Habits: * Take at least one training course offered by Realty Executives Integrity. (If you’re not sure which one - ask me!) * Write down your priorities for each day, BEFORE you start your day, and walk through the day accordingly * Set aside one special moment each week to spend with your significant other - focused solely on them! * Plan one “getaway” each month with your Spouse, Best Friend, or Significant other - be creative, and value-minded * Call a friend and arrange to: take a walk, hike a trail, grab breakfast, enjoy some coffee, play tennis, shoot pool … laugh, smile, cry, encourage, love Looking for some guidance on the topic of life/business balance?
