SMS CAMPAIGN/ SMS REINFORCEMENT
S
ince last year when Corona pandemic started, Nepal Scouts quickly came
in
action with SMS Campaign in partnerships
with UNICEF Nepal. The campaign focused on habitual action of Social Distancing, use of face Masks and washing hands with soap and was organized all over the country. Nepal Scouts volunteers were mobilized at city area, crowded streets and also at doorsteps of people to aware the people about the deadly virus and awaring them on safety measures. 400 volunteers of Nepal Scouts were mobilized in during and after lockdown period.
Dead Body management
A
fter increase in death cases of covid patients, it was difficult to manage the dead bodies according to religious customs. Nepal Scouts volunteers Mr. Rajesh Gaiju, Arun Sainju and Nhuja Kiju and were the first people to manage the first case of corona related death. 15 Nepal Scouts volunteers has been trained by Nepal Army for dead body management and they are providing services in province 1 and Bagmati province.
