Development of the Youth Pogramme Policy

Nepal Scouts has finalized Youth Program Policy. The policy was completed in consultation service from the WOSM and WAGGGS. This is the first ever Youth Program Policy in the history of Nepal Scouts, through Nepal Scouts has been implementing the youth programmes for each sections. Nepal scouts asked a service request for the consultation meeting for the development of Through their support, Nepal Scouts finalized the policy. The consultantion meeting was done virtually where the consultants and volunteers played very significant role for drafting the policy. With the valuable feedbacks and suggestions from the consultation team along with the ahrd from the volunteer and professional team of Nepal Scouts, we are able to obtain this policy which will guide further in the youth programme of Nepal Scouts. The policy will benefit the adult leaders and the young people of the organization. Nepal Scouts believes that this development will attract more young people into our movement. It will play significant role in membership growth and reaching out to all parts of the country where the young people will be empowered and could contribute in the wholistic development of the youth.

Virtual Youth Forum

WOSM Consultant Mr. Dev Raj Ghimire and his planning team launched the Virtual Youth Forum from 1521 June with the Theme of “Youth for Change and Resilient COVID-19 pandemic”. The main objectives of this forum was to share the ideas, views, experiences of youth and to create a platform for creating the network and to activate the team. In the Forum, Rover and Ranger (16 to 25 years age group) of different crews participated. Subject of the discussion in the forum was: how to make people aware about Covid-19 in the present context, MOP initiatives, Scouts for SGDs, etc.

Virtual Meeting of TTL Troop Leaders

The Ticket to Life (TTL) Project is an on-going flagship project, which is implemented by the Asia-Pacific Support Centre of the World Organization of Scout Movement. It aims at educating children and young people in difficult circumstances through Scouting. This project is carried out in eight countries of Asia-Pacific Region: Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, and Thailand. Currently, 77 scouts from two different Scout Troops; Swobodh TTL Troop and Namuna TTL Troop has directly benefitted through this project. These troops are conducting different scouting activities for the overall development of the scouts based on the Five Dimensions through the Scout Methods. Scouts were inspired and encouraged to participate in different scouting activities and programs and motivated them to perform their best for better results.
