STAY HOME LIVE SESSIONS ON FACEBOOK

Nepal Scouts members were well organized to carry out their duty in the virtual world. The Stay Home Live Sessions on Facebook gathered much more attention of the members and non-members who contribute scouting actions where they delivered and participated in wide arrays of highly interactive programs by staying at home. The Live Session accounted for nine episodes so far discussing the preventive measures during the pandemic, the crucial aspects of mental health during the lockdown, the current and future commitment and roles of scouts during the changing nature of pandemic, cyber awareness, the role of leaders and much more. The sessions were thriving significantly from participants across the country and succeeded thoroughly in meeting with the purpose of providing useful insights and means to carry on their regular activities during such challenging time to the participants.

Such an inspiring, daring and joint efforts to mitigate the social, environmental and mental health impacts of this crisis and to safeguard the progress made so far. SCOUTS IS A FRIEND TO ANIMALS

The Nepal Scouts, working in the social service, launched a campaign to feed the hungry animals and birds during the lockdown. On the 17th day of the lockdown, Nepal Scouts visited Chakrapath, Baluwatar, Bhatbhateni, Gyaneshwar, Kamaladi, Bhadrakali, Kathmandu Durbar Square area, Duwakot, Bhaktapur, Thali, Jorpati, Boudha, Chabahil, Thapathali, Pashupati, Swayambhunath, Kalanki, Satdobato, Khokna, Bungmati, Chobhar and distributed meat to the street dogs, biscuits, rice, maize, wheat, banana, water and other food items to other hungry animals like monekyand birds.

Beside animals, scouts provided food, masks and cash to the street people and the labors. The campaign continued throughout the lockdown period.
