STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION
The Student Government Association (SGA) at Madisonville Community College plays a vital role in representing students and promoting leadership. Their mission centers around fostering the college’s values, character, and knowledge while emphasizing mutual respect among all members of the college community. SGA hosts events to boost school spirit and engagement, and they actively address student concerns. SGA members aim to be role models, showcasing academic excellence and commitment to community service both on and off campus.
ANNA MERRELL SGA President Hometown: Mobile, AL. Field Of Study: Elementary Education I wanted to join SGA because I knew I had more potential than to be an ordinary MCC student.
MARIAH SIMPSON-DALTON SGA Vice President Hometown: Madisonville Field of study: Paralegal Technology I wanted to participate in SGA because student life is important to me, & fostering a better, more interactive environment for our students should always be the main goal!
SHAWNA WATSON SGA Vice President of Muhlenberg Hometown: Dunmor, Ky. Field of study: I’m currently getting my associates in the arts through the 2+2 program to become an elementary teacher. I wanted to participate in SGA because I wanted to bring some fun to the Muhlenberg campus for our students!
