BY THE NUMBERS
One of the most important and enjoyable tasks related to my position here at MCC is to tell the story of the college. We tell our story to help students know this is a great place to receive an education. We also tell our story so that our region’s industries know that we are here to help them train their workers. Telling our story is essential for creating connections with our supporters and we must ensure that this story resonates with them. We must also be sure our accreditors, legislators, and officials hear our story. For me, telling our story is all about sharing the lives we have touched and changed. However, at times, telling our story needs to get down to the numbers. While it is, for me, very meaningful to speak about our day-today work with our students and community, I am just as proud of the numbers I can share about MCC and the work we do. Because we are in the middle of a legislative session, I have been telling our story by the numbers. I can go on with more numbers, but I think the examples I have shared will tell the story. We are a college that can tell our story and back them up with the numbers. We take pride in the work we do every day. It is also a point of pride for me when I share stories about those in our community who support this college on a daily basis – that is a very large number. For all of us at MCC, the work we do is about our students and community, and we can back that up by the numbers. Thank you for helping us make our numbers great!
