Letter from the President

Hello Team Loyalty,

March is here, tax season is here, YEAH! This will be a busy time for us in redeems, replacement loans (roll overs) and sales. This time of the year is as important to us as is Christmas time, so let’s work together, communicate amongst each of our locations and sell, sell, sell!! If you are not a part of our GroupMe chat group that communicates between our locations, please ask you manager to get you signed up. It is a great tool to help us all sell more product and provide concierge level customer service.

I want to thank Felix out of the West Sacramento location for posting a great comment on our GroupMe chat. Like I mentioned earlier if you are not part of the chat group please talk to your manager. Felix commented on how all our efforts are showing through many of our Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) goals that are being crushed; our sales numbers, our client reviews, client “loyalty” and our team building. He is 100% correct when he stated “We are all doing great! We all deserve the pats on our backs!”! So, Thank You to all because it is that effort from each of you which makes the KPI’s achievable.

We all know we are working with the ICG Consulting/ Smart Financial group and have already have several of or managers travel to their Smart Camp in Arizona, Wayne from Corporate, Mark from Florin and Dylan from Roseville are attending in the middle of March. We are excited to see the takeaways from our leadership team and the future implementation of some of the best business practices in the industry. Companywide training will be coming our way very soon, as well as continued GIA training for more team members. We are also working with ICG to be able to have our numbers, policies and bonus structure easier to follow and understand. The consulting group is not only helping with training and some better business practices, but we have been working extremely close with their recruiting department as well as their CFO to get Loyalty Pawn properly staffed with the best possible team members available to us and stream line our accounting department. There is a lot of change for the better coming. Which just today I saw a quote that (which is very coincidental) that fits in here perfectly. “The Most Dangerous Phrase in The Language is “We’ve Always Done It This Way”. I am looking forward to watching, helping and being a part of the growth that we are having in the Loyalty Pawn Family.

Gratefully,

A Letter from the General Manager

Hello Everyone!

February flew by quick with spring right around the corner! As we continue to get with the times, many great things have happened. Both West Sac and Florin have completed their painting and slat wall. Flooring and Ceiling will happen soon with an estima ted completion date by the end of March! This is awesome! With that, we have also installed all the new laser printers for our loan contracts. Huge thanks to all hands involved! This was one of our easier updates!!

Some successes to mention are the Sales, Productivity and Physical Transactions. In the month of February Dominic was the top leader in the company with sales reaching $21,937.81. Mark got 2nd place selling $17,258.00 and Joseph got 3rd place selling $15,178.88. The top 3 in productivity were Kevin Velasquez, Dave P. and Brittany. The top 3 leaders in physical deals written were Earnest Bryson 1,101 pd. Paul Molina 1,034 pd. and Dave P. 985 pd. Thank You for all your efforts in February!!

With February being a short month, we were just starting to see tax money come in the last 2 days of the month. Please keep on guard and engaged in March. Many customers will be coming in with tax money for Redemptions and purchases. During this time, remind our customers about our replacement loan & layaway programs! Our customers can make those tax dollars stretch a little further by taking advantage our replacement loan program. It also doesn’t hurt to remind the customer that we loan 75% or the purchase price on jewelry items.

Let’s keep it fun and competitive through March!

Sincerely,

“You just can't beat the person who never gives up.” – Babe Ruth

Loyalty Pawn Family

Hello Loyalty Family,

Another month has past, and this weather is driving me crazy. I wish mother nature would make up it’s mind one day it’s cold and rainy and the next it’s nice and warm. March is here and it makes me want to go back to Ireland to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. We are finally starting to see some of that tax money start to come through the stores and this is a great time to be creative and up-sale our clients. Making package deals is also a great way to get rid of multiple items at the same time. I know one of the stores is running a package deal for an original Xbox One and a 32” tv for $199.99. The first day they started the sale 4 sets of this deal was sold. So again, let’s be creative with these sales and share it with the rest of the company. This month we are going to get to know Justin Martinez the store manager of the West Sacramento location. Justin was born August 29th, 1983. He has been in the Pawn industry for 5 years. Wanting a change from the construction industry he was convinced by his cousin Ryan to fill out an app while he was purchasing a necklace for his future wife. He is the youngest sibling of 4 and he is the only male. Growing up in Folsom California he attended Folsom High School. He has always been an adrenaline junky, so he joined the wrestling team and made it all the way up to the varsity team where he lettered. Wrestling wasn’t the only sport Justin was involved with. His family has always been a huge baseball family, he has even had one of his uncles in the major league’s uncle Buck. Since retiring from baseball he’s now an announcer for the Toronto Blue Jays. Family means everything to Justin especially the relationship that he has with his father Jim. So many skills and trades Justin says he learned from him like hunting, fishing, and archery. I’ve heard he’s pretty good with a bow so good in fact he can split a regular playing cards thickness with an arrow or gun. It was amazing getting to hear Justin talk about all of his adventures and outings but nothing more thrilling than his lifelong obsession with snowboarding. His love for snowboarding hasn’t come without a hefty price and toll on his body. The first time he got a season pass he broke 4 of his ribs. You would think that would stop someone from going back out there but not Justin. He felt it more thrilling and always wanting to push the envelope. To this date he has had multiple broken bones, several concussions, bruised and beaten but he says it’s well worth it. It is needless to say he is a true adrenaline junky he loves snowboarding so much he even admitted that he would rather go snowboarding than to go shooting. Justin still considers himself to be newly wed reaching the 2nd year of marriage to his wife Adriene. They have plans of purchasing their first home soon. The have two cats named Frank and Hank and one dog named Bullseye. Bullseye is the celebrity in the family and has a social media following on Instagram which I am now a fan myself you can find him @bulleyeandtheboys if you would like to check it out. When asked what Justin enjoyed about the industry his response was simple, he likes the different verity of customers and what they bring into the shop. Also, he has never been in an industry where time flies so fast since you’re always busy and everything is always changing. Last, he loves the opportunity do the GIA training and be able to train with companies like ICG. For future plans he would like to be the first GG for Loyalty Pawn and be certified by GIA. He’s also looking forward to growing the West Sac location by getting into the gun industry and maybe even expanding the company out of the state.

El Camino

El Camino has been doing a great job so far this month with great sales and great numbers! We did see off a member of our team, Ramsey. He will be going to Roseville and we know he will be an invaluable member of the team there. Also, Cody went to Phoenix to learn about ICG's operation and make our company a stronger and more profitable one! We all see another profitable month in March and hope to be training some new members soon.

Florin Mall

Hello Loyalty Family,

Some amazing things that is going to at Florin. We are undergoing our store front remodel. The showroom is looking very good with awesome color slat walls, new jewelry showcase display and new shelves. We are expecting to be completed with our remodel in the month of March. More amazing things happening at Florin. We hit over 100k in layaway balance. The initiation layaways are working so let’s continue to push them to our clients that have never done any layaway with us. Have a great month to all.

Roseville

Hello Loyalty Pawn Family,

Roseville had a great month of February. We officially got the building all painted and the new signs installed on the outside of the building. We got all of our new printers installed and the employees are loving them. We have had a great sales month so far, we are currently sitting at 54,000 in sales. Last year for the month of February are sales were at 41,700. That puts us at a 30% increase in sales from last year. Huge shout out to Dominic Tognolini for being the top salesman in the company for the past 4 months in a row. For February he sold $21,012. The Roseville team is doing great and are all looking forward to making March the best month yet.

Broadway had a great month in February exceeding our 15% sales goal and completing our flooring project. We are looking to finish the first quarter strong and we are on track to hit all our quarter 1 goals. Big things happening in the WEST. We hit 400K in loan balance for the first time ever “one million here we come”. We are continuing with our remodel, we just installed new Bluetooth speakers for the showroom hooked up to a laptop with a live USB mic. This gives us the ability to play music and communicate our sales and promotions live in real time with the customers in the store. We also have started weekly Facebook live videos, so make sure you check us out at West sac Pawn on Facebook

Fun Fact: The largest diamond ever discovered was called the Cullinan diamond, and weighed in at an amazing 3106 carats, or 1.33 pounds. Discovered in 1905 in South Africa, the mine's owner and the South African leaders gave the diamond to King Edward.

March 2019 Calendar

March brings with it the promise of gardening and warmer, sunny days, as Earth turns its frostbitten cheek to winter and springs forth from the vernal equinox. Look at all the cool dates to pay attention to in March this year:

• March 5: Mardi Gras (“Fat Tuesday”) or Shrove Tuesday.

• March 8: International Women’s Day.

• March 10: Daylight Saving Time begins at 2:00 A.M. Don’t forget to “spring forward” and set your clocks ahead one hour!

• March 15: The Ides of March. Legend surrounds this ill-fated day. Beware the Ides of March!

• March 17: St. Patrick’s Day.

• March 20: The vernal equinox, also called the Spring Equinox, marking the beginning of spring in the Northern Hemisphere, occurs on Wednesday, March 20, at 5:58 P.M. EDT. On this day, the Sun rises due east and sets due west. In the Southern Hemisphere, this date marks the autumnal equinox

• The Borrowing Days: According to lore, the last three days of March have a reputation for being stormy.
