President’s Letter
Hello Loyalty Pawn Family,
I hope this message finds you all in great spirits following a wonderful Fourth of July celebration. I wanted to take a moment to reflect on our achievements and share some exciting prospects as we move forward.
I'm thrilled to report that Loyalty Pawn is performing exceptionally well this year. The dedication and hard work each of you puts in every day have truly made a difference. Our Father’s Day promotions were a resounding success, and it's encouraging to see the positive impact we've been able to make.
As we gear up for the summer months and approach the new school year, there's a fresh wave of opportunities ahead. We have ambitious plans to grow our loan balance, and it's essential to keep up with our sales as well as our pawn service charges. These efforts will further solidify our position as an industry leader.
A friendly reminder to all the team, we are halfway to Christmas and the holiday season. This is a prime time for us to prepare and strategize for the busy months ahead, ensuring we meet the needs of our customers during these key periods.
Thank you all for your continued effort and commitment. As we journey through the rest of 2025, let’s keep pushing the boundaries and setting new standards of excellence. Together, we can take Loyalty Pawn to even greater heights.
Enjoy the summer, and let’s keep up the fantastic work!
Warm regards,
Stan Lukowicz President, Loyalty Pawn

 Loan Growth Update

In June alone, we grew our loan balance by $175,000 a strong indicator of seasonal demand, as clients seek funds for summer vacations and personal projects. This trend mirrors previous summers and positions us well for continued growth.
Comparing Q2 2025 to Q2 2024, we’ve achieved a 6% increase in loan volume, reinforcing the ongoing demand for capital. Based on current momentum, we anticipate July will be another strong month for loan growth.
 Product Trends

Our jewelry product line remains strong, even as general goods show signs of softening. This highlights the importance of staying sharp in our product qualification process. Let’s continue to seize every opportunity to say “yes” to our clients and meet their needs with confidence.
 Thank You

Your hard work, attention to detail, and dedication to our mission are what drive our success. Let’s keep the momentum going and make July another record-breaking month!
Thank you for all that you do!

Hello Team,
I am proud to share that we achieved our 5% sales goal for the month. While we’re bummed to see our 20% sales streak come to an end, we’re still celebrating the solid effort that helped us meet our sales goal. Every bit of progress counts, and I appreciate the continued commitment from everyone on the team.
Special shoutout to Josh, who led the team in sales this month, and to Yara, who took the lead in loans. Thank you both for setting the pace and leading by example!
We’re also continuing our focus on growing and maintaining our layaway balance. It has been one of our greatest driving factors and a fantastic tool for continued success.
Let’s keep the energy up and this momentum moving in the right direction as we move into the summer. There’s still plenty of opportunities ahead!
Thank you,
Kirby Erlanger
Florin Mall
Hello Loyalty Pawn Families,
I hope everyone is doing well and had a wonderful and safe 4th of July. Last month, Team Florin had a sales goal of $68.5k and a stretch goal of $78.3k. Team Florin was determined to hit our stretch goal; unfortunately, we ended up reaching our 5% goal instead, which I am still grateful for. This month marks Adrianna's third month with us, and she is progressing very well. She can now work at the front counter independently.
For July, we have a high sales goal of $87.2k, with a 20% stretch goal of $99.6k. Even though this month’s goal is higher, we are not giving up we are determined to achieve it. Our "Buy One, Get One Half Off" sales should help us reach our targets. Team Florin has been actively posting on social media to boost our sales figures.
Good luck to all locations, and let’s hit our goal!

The History of Pawn
China
Pawnbroking humankind’s oldest financial institution, pawn loans can be traced back at least 3,000 years to ancient China.

Middle Ages

Ancient Rome
Pawnbroking also thrived in ancient Greece and Rome, often giving merchants a way to fund their small shops or fund ships for trade. In fact, the word “pawn” stems from the Latin word “patinum,” meaning cloth or clothing. For the working class, clothes were often the most valuable items they owned and could be pawned to meet everyday needs.
Prominent families such as the Lombards of England and the Medicis of Italy became known as money-lending families. England’s King Edward III famously pawned his jewels to the Lombards in 1388 to help finance war against France.
In the 14th and 15th centuries in Europe pawn as short-term credit became an important way of financing business endeavors and granting temporary aid to the poor. Pawns also financed events that changed world history! Queen Isabella of Spain famously pawned her royal jewels to finance Christopher Columbus’ voyage to the New World.

17th & 18th Centuries: The Start of Pawn Regulations

In the 18th century, public pawnshops began offering low-interest loans to the poor to curb debt. In the 19th century, the practice of pawning clothes on Monday and retrieving them on Friday–“payday”–was a common way for poor people to make it through the week.

Pawn Today
Since people in need of quick cash were more apt to be on society’s fringes during this era, protections were put in place to try to prevent the pawning of stolen items. The Pawnbrokers Act of 1872 in England established regulations protecting pawnbrokers who inadvertently sold stolen items. This act also stipulated the amount of interest charged on pawned items and set out general guidelines for the industry, establishing a regulation pattern that exists even today.
Today, many people depend on pawnbrokers to help them meet daily financial needs not offered by other institutions. Pawn customers represent the working families of America who periodically experience an unexpected need for short-term funds. Pawn loans keep the electricity on, the rent paid and cars running with full tanks of gas. Today’s pawn stores are attractive, welcoming places to do business. Most of them are family-owned and operated stores that offer superb customer service. Pawnbrokers comply with all federal, state, and local regulations and laws. In most jurisdictions, they provide local law enforcement with data on all transactions daily.
Three Gold Balls & The Santa Connection
Traditionally, the pawnbroker’s symbol is three gold spheres hanging from a bar. This stems from St. Nicholas, recognized in America as Santa Claus, is the patron saint of pawnbroking. He is reported to have left three bags of gold so the daughters of a poor man could afford to marry. Later the tradition transformed the bags into three gold balls, which became the symbol of pawnbrokers.
