Letter from the General Manager
We have successfully ended February and are preparing for a busy March. I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge a few changes that we have had since February 1st. In February, we accepted the resignation of Justin M. Justin, who served as a store manager for Loyalty Pawn for many years. He has moved on to other opportunities and we thanked him for his years of service. In his departure, the Roseville location will now be led by John M., with Brittany W. as his assistant. John has led the Broadway location since the inception of Loyalty Pawn, and we are sure he will be a stellar leader for the Roseville location. While John moved to Roseville, Kirby was promoted to John’s position as store manager with his assistant Tito M. We are satisfied that this leadership team will be successful while further strengthening the Broadway group. As for El Camino, we have one of our own who was promoted to Senior SLA, Stephanie Alfaro. We are confident that the new moves and positioning of leaders will continue to accomplish our mission and goals. We are proud to have such amazing people among us. Good luck!
As always, we love to highlight our top salesman for the month. Dominic T. received 1st place. Ah Xiong received 2nd place, and Norma B. received 3rd place for February. This was a tight 2nd to 3rd place run. We appreciate your continued hustle and hard work. It takes teamwork to accomplish the monthly store sales goals. Store sales are a significant part of our company revenue, and we are consistently determined to perform and achieve our monthly sales goals. You three are helping to lead the way to our company goals. We humbly thank you!
To conclude, we have had a strong income month of February. Tax money has arrived in the last 7 days of the month. This trend happens like most other years. When February comes, we start to see the tax return money through sales and loan payments. We have already seen our loan book shrink and our items being picked up or paid on. This positive cycle helps our revenue budget for months to come. Great job everyone. Let’s keep up the pace and control. March will be another great month for capturing opportunities, and I can’t wait to see the success that March will bring.
Cheers!

I am absolutely thrilled about the opportunity to move to the Roseville location and am eagerly looking forward to working with the talented team there. We are all excited about the potential for growth and the positive changes ahead, knowing that there will be many updates and improvements coming to the store. With a fresh perspective and a strong commitment to success. The team can’t wait to contribute to the success and help drive the store’s transformation. Broadway
Hello Team,
Broadway is going through changes; we are happy to welcome Yaitza to our team as well as welcome back Tito. We are also saying goodbye to John as he moves to Roseville, but now he is just a call away. Wasting no time, myself and Tito are working on tweaks to how the shop is run. We are hoping that the changes will help reduce waste and help us run more smoothly. I am proud that our crew was able to get us to our 5% goal in sales and we won’t be stopping there we are determined to make that our minimum as we will only be shooting for our 20% sales growth. With all of this said we are looking to make Broadway the store to look out for, we are coming for that number 1 spot. Let’s help some people and make some money.
John Mark Florin Mall
Hello Everyone,
We hope everyone is doing well! I can't believe we are already entering the last month of the first quarter of the year. In February, Team Florin achieved impressive results, with sales totaling $80.9k $9.4k over our goal of $71.5k, which represents about 35% increase of last February sales. Great job to everyone at Florin!
Team Florin sold 104 jewelry pieces last month, which significantly contributed to our success. We also focused on securing layaways, successfully locking in 29 new layaways approximately one per day. For March, our goal is to secure three new layaways per day and achieve $91.5k in sales. This is an ambitious target, but I am confident we can reach it, as we have done in the past.
Additionally, this month, we are excited to offer 25% off all tools during our Spring-Cleaning Sale. Be sure to take advantage of these fantastic deals and help move our inventory.
Let’s keep the momentum going!

The Spring Equinox is on its way!

MARCH…MORE THAN JUST ST PATRICK’S DAY
“March” is named for the Roman god of war, Mars. However, we think of it as the beginning of spring, as March brings the vernal equinox, the Full Worm Moon and the return of Daylight Saving Time! Here are important dates, gardening tips, and early spring recipes to celebrate the start of spring.
International Women’s Day was March 8th!

The world is facing many crises, ranging from geopolitical conflicts to soaring poverty levels and the escalating impacts of climate change. These challenges can only be addressed by solutions that empower women. By investing in women, we can spark change and speed the transition towards a healthier, safer, and more equal world for all!
Did you know that Women’s International Day began in New York City on March 8, 1857? It began when female textile workers marched in protest of unfair working conditions and unequal rights for women. It was one of the first organized strikes by working women, during which they called for a shorter work day and decent wages. Also on March 8, in 1908, women workers in the needle trades marched through New York City's Lower East Sideto protestchildlabor, sweatshop working conditions, anddemandwomen's suffrage.Beginningin 1910, March 8 became annually observed as International Women's Day. Women's History Week was instituted in 1978 in an effort to begin adding women's history into educational curricula. In 1987, the National Women's HistoryProject successfullypetitionedCongress to includeall ofMarchas a celebrationoftheeconomic, political and social contributions of women.” Source: U.S. Bureau.
CELEBRATION DAYS IN MARCH
• March 4 is Mardi Gras (aka “Fat Tuesday) which is the final feasting day before the Christian tradition of lent begins on the following day, Ash Wednesday.
• March 5 is Ash Wednesday which marks the start of lent.

• March 8 is International Women’s Day, which is a day that not only celebrates the achievements of women and the progress made toward women’s rights but also brings attention to ongoing struggles for equality around the world.
• March 9 is the start of Daylight Saving Time, which begins at 2:00 A.M. that day. Don’t forget to “spring forward” and set the clocks one hour ahead, or you may find yourself an hour late to everything!
• March 10 is also the Ides of March! Legend surrounds this ill-fated day. Beware of the Ides of March!
• March 15 is the Ides of March! Legend surround this ill-fated day. Beware the Ides of March!
• March 17 is St. Patrick’s Day. According to folklore, folks wear a shamrock on St. Patrick’s Day because the saint used its three leaves to explain the Trinity.
• March 20 brings about the March equinox also called the vernal or spring equinox in the Northern Hemisphere marking the beginning of spring. In the Southern Hemisphere, this date marks the autumnal equinox and the beginning of fall. On this day, the Sun stands directly over Earth’s equator.
• March 29-31 are known as the Borrowing Days According to lore, the last three days of March have a reputation for being stormy. Be on the lookout!
Just for Fun March Days… Did you know that March is National Umbrella Month? Here are some more wacky things to celebrate this month:
• March 3: What If Cats and Dogs Had Opposable Thumbs Day?
• March 11: International Fanny Pack Day
• March 13: National Ear Muff Day
• March 16: National Panda Day
• March 16: Absolutely Incredible Kid Day
• March 23: World Meteorological Day
• March 31: World Backup Day
March Astronomy
The Full Worm Moon
March’s full Moon, the Worm Moon, reaches peak illumination on the morning of Tuesday, March 14, 2025.
Look for it on the evening of Monday, March 13, as the Moon rises above the horizon! In like Leo, Out like Aries!
In other words, The constellation Leo, the lion, rises in the east at the beginning of March and thus the month “comes in like a lion,” while Aries, the ram, sets in the west at the end of the month, and as such, the month “will go out like a lamb.”
