As of right now, no chamber event is planned for the month of November, however, the Christmas parade will soon be around the corner and Howe has once again designated the second Saturday of December to host the parade. In keeping with tradition, Howe's parade will follow Anna's and Van Alstyne's and will begin at 4:30 pm. The chamber board members are discussing a different route this year as the middle school parking area has become a little crowded for the growing
parade. That coupled with youth basketball playing games that day at the gym made the board members consider a lineup and start from Bulldog Stadium to loop through downtown and back to the stadium. The chamber welcomes business members as well as individual memberships. The business rate is $75 and individual rates are $25. The Howe Area Chamber of Commerce is a 501(c)6 non-profit and is run by a volunteer board including President Robert Cannaday. Other board members are Susan Garcia, Sergio Garcia, Sarah Whitt, Tom Defrange, Sheryl Bentley, and Monte Walker. For more information, contact Monte Walker at mwalker@cityofhowe.org.
