Lane Griffin of Howe took second in class in Angus Heifer and Kolbe Lappin took first in class for Charolais Heifer. Kacie Morgan of Howe took first in class of ORB Heifers and Korben Kemp took second. Rowby Kuykendall also placed second with Zoie Kemp placing fifth in class. Howe's A.J. Johnson placed first and third in class in Polled Hereford. Tate Harvey and Emma Harvey showed Shorthorn Heifers and placed third through sixth, respectively.

Bill Smith moved to Howe in 1977 and was the owner/operator of Howe Mini Storage. Mr. Smith was a member of First Baptist Church of Howe. Lowell Thompson built many quality affordable homes in Howe in the late 1950s which helped the growth of the city. He served as city councilman and was an active member of the Howe Volunteer Fire Department. Thompson, a supporter of the scouting program, constructed the first racetrack for the Pinewood Derby.

organizations during his life. Mr. Troxtell was employed by MagniFab Southwest as a Quality Assurance Inspector for 30 years and owned his own painting business for several years prior. Mr. Troxtell served as Troop 45 Scoutmaster, coached multiple youth Sports, and helped with multiple 4H and FFA livestock projects. Ernest Wortham was a longtime worker for Petty-Ray Geophysical Company and later opened Wortham Feed and Seed.
