Bulldogs ready for stretch drive

Photo by Michelle Carney On Tuesday, both the Howe Bulldogs (9-11, 6-4) and Pilot Point Bearcats put runners aboard, but it was Howe that was able to take advantage, pulling out an 8-6 win at home. Pilot Point got nine hits compared with just six for the Bulldogs, but the Bearcats stranded 10 runners on base. Howe would not give up the lead as Pilot Point was unable to weather a three-run sixth inning deficit. Pilot Point scored one run in the seventh on an RBI single by Reagan Gochis, but Howe would hold on to the lead with good pitching.
