Park Brake Circuit Troubleshooting

The park brake switch is OFF, but the brakes do not release. Is there 12 volts at the park brake solenoid?

Replace the park brake solenoid coil and or the park brake solenoid valve cartridge.

Is the park brake fuse (Fuse #2) YES open?

Replace the fuse. NO

Is there 12 volts to the park brake relay terminal #87a (Socket #3)? YES NO

Repair or replace the wire between the park brake relay and the park brake solenoid.

Is there 12 volts at the park brake relay terminal #85 (Socket #2)?

Is there 12 volts to the park brake relay terminal #30 (Socket #4)?

Repair or replace the wire from the YES fuse to the park brake relay. NO

Replace the park brake switch.

Replace the park brake relay.
