CHAPTER 3 DELIVERY

CHECK LISTS PRE-DELIVERY

After the Forage Box has been completely set-up, the following inspections should be made before delivering it to the Customer. Check off each item after prescribed action is taken. Check that: ___ Forage Box has been correctly assembled and setup according to the information in this manual. __ Forage Box has correct Operator's Manual. _ _ All Grease Fittings have been properly lubricated and that Transmission is filled to the proper level. Sec Lubrication chapter of this manual for details. _ _ All Guards, Shields and Decals are in place and securely attached. _ _ All fasteners are properly secured. __ All adjustments are made to comply with settings given in the Adjustment chapter of this manual. __Three extra H263 E and One extra H263C Coupler Bolts and Four extra Shear Bolts are supplied in the Holder. __ Serial Number of this unit is recorded in spaces provided on this page and page 2. Hook the Forage Box onto a 540 RPM tractor and test-run the unit while checking that proper operation is exhibited by all components.

__ Rotating PTO Guard turns freely.

The following Check List is an important reminder of valuable information that MUST be passed on to the Customer at the time the unit is delivered. Check off each item as you explain it to the Customer. ___ Give the Customer his Operator's Manual. Instruct him to be sure to read and completely understand its contents BEFORE operating the unit. _ _ Direct him on how to use the Index of this manual as quick page number locating guide. _ _ Explain and review with him the SAFETY chapter of this manual. ___ Explain and review with him Controls & Safety Equipment chapter of this manual. ---Explain that regular lubrication is required for continued proper operation and long life. Review with him the Lubrication chapter of this manual. ___ Explain and review with him the Service chapter of this manual. ___ Explain and review with him both the Operation and the Preparing for Field Operation chapters of this manual. ---Demonstrate the Safety Clutch operation and activation. Also demonstrate the PTO Locking Device, Beater Clutch and Apron Speed Levers. ___ Advise the Customer to check for proper Feeder and Cross Conveyor Apron tension after the second load has been unloaded and to continue to check the tension until the initial give or slack in the Chains disappears.

_ _Safety Clutch Mechanism operates properly.

_ _ Completely fill out Owner's Registration including Customer's signature, and return to company.

__ Drives, Rollers, Chains and Beaters are rotating smoothly and operating properly.
