Indicator light (yellow) – preheating time lag relay Comes on when the key in preheating start switch (Fig. 35 on page 3-2)/4 is in position 2. A glow plug preheats the air in the combustion chamber of the engine when the key is in this position. High beam indicator light (blue) Comes on if high beam is switched on, or during headlight flashing. Coolant level indicator light (red) Indicates that the coolant level in the radiator is too low: ➥ Check the coolant system for leaks, have possible damage repaired by an authorised workshop. Fill up the coolant Hydraulic oil filter indicator light (red) Indicates inadmissibly high pressure in the hydraulic return line to the tank. ➥ The filter element is dirty and must be replaced – see chapter 5 “Monitoring the hydraulic oil and the return filter” on page 5-22 Air filter indicator light (yellow) Indicates air filter contamination. Alternator charge function indicator light (red) The indicator light comes on when the ignition is turned on and goes out as soon as the engine runs. The V-belt or the charging circuit of the alternator is faulty if the indicator light comes on with the engine running. The battery is no longer charged.
