3.7 Cab emergency exit

Information on emergency exit via the rear window

The rear window can be smashed with the emergency hammer and used as an emergency exit if the cab door can no longer be used. The hammer is located on the right of the seat.

Danger!

Caution! Smashing the rear window pane sends glass splinters flying around – danger of injury! ☞ Protect face and eyes before smashing the window pane ☞ If possible, ask for help before smashing the window pane

☞ Exit the cab in an emergency as follows: •Stop the diesel engine •Switch off all current consumers and remove the ignition key •If possible, ask for help •Smash the rear window with the emergency hammer and carefully exit the cab

Notice!

Before taking the machine back into service, put the emergency hammer back in place and seal it! Have the damaged rear window replaced by an authorised workshop!

3.8 Fire extinguisher (option)

Fire extinguisher operation

The fire extinguisher is not included in the machine's standard equipment (option). If a fire extinguisher is retrofitted according to DIN-EN 3, then this must be carried out by an authorised workshop. ☞ Operate the fire extinguisher according to the instructions printed on the fire extinguisher.

Caution!

In order to ensure the full serviceability of the fire extinguisher, have it checked at regular intervals and refilled! •See inspection tag on fire extinguisher ☞ Remove the fire extinguisher from the cab in an emergency only ☞ After the fire extinguisher has been used: have it filled by an authorised workshop, or replace it with a new one
