The solenoid driver module (SDM) is the interface between the PMC-R and the solenoid valves. It utilizes OS4 connectors which provide one o-ring seal on the female connector and two o-ring seals on the OS-4 cable end to protect the electrical contacts form moisture and corrosion. The SDM has 11 outputs which connect to the dual solenoid valves enabling it to control up to 22 functions. The offset connector near the center provides the data and power connection to the PMC-R control unit. Unused ports must be protected with brass caps. The SDM has 3 led lights in the lower right corner to indicate the status of the board. The first led indicates that 12 volts is being supplied to the board. It should be lit except when the PMC-R Lockout button is pressed. The second led flashes consistently to indicate that data is being received from the PMC-R. If data is not being received the light be on steady or will blink at a slow rate (appx. once per second). The third led is lit when any solenoid output is active.
Brass Bar The brass bar bolts directly to the shield or to a bracket assembly and supports the PMC-R and all of the cables.
The 2 SKK28 connectors provide the connection to the neighbor PMC-Rs and replace the SKK24 connectors normally referred to as A1 and F1. There are 10 SKK24 mounting positions that are used for sensor cables. The female SKK24 gear mount connector at the lower left is provided for connection of the KH luminaire (light). Reference the shield layout drawings provided later in the manual for sensor connection details.
