The displays on the PMC-Rs will show a network split, so to set the dump valve, you must scroll up to get to the screen “System tripped (p)”. The PMC-P at the tailgate will need to have the “IP” address of the PMC-P configured on the serial port that connects to the E2 port of the tailgate shield. Conveyor Prestart with Visual Warning This feature will cause all the shield controls to ring out prior to the start-up of the face conveyor. Shields with numbers ending with 5s and then the 10s will flash their “White” led, alternating back and forth for the duration of the warning. This feature is dependent on information from the PLC, therefore the connection from the Server to the PLC must be maintained for this function to work. If that connection has failed there will be another audible alarm and the displays will show that the PLC connection has been lost. The PLC should not allow the conveyor to start during the absence of this connection. Note: PLC programming is required for this feature to work.
