Operation _______________________________________________________ push-to-operate (PTO) bar

This easily activated switch bar MUST BE RELEASED when power is turned on, then pressed and held to enable the motion switch functions. Releasing the PTO during normal operation causes the controller to send neutral commands to the receiver or decoder. Principle of operation:

radio remote control

The target receiver/decoder is controlled by a remote toggle controller. Provided the correct address and frequency is programmed into the controller, the receiver/decoder receives signals from the controller using a UHF radio link. The signal is picked up by the antenna and passed on to the receiver. If the signal is the correct frequency and passes all required data tests, the signal is passed on to the decoder. The decoder compares the address code of the signal to its own address code. If the signal’s address code does not match its address code, it is ignored and a message is displayed on a system status display located in the receiver/decoder unit. If the address code is correct, the decoder processes the message and energizes and de-energizes the appropriate relay mounted on the relay output boards. The relay output boards provides a mounting location for all the relays in the system. The relays control the high current loads required by the controlled machine. Mounted next to each relay is a fuse to provide over current protection. All remote wiring for the output relays takes place at the relay output boards. During operation, the microprocessor on the decoder board resets multiple watchdog timer circuits whenever valid messages are received and decoded. If the microprocessor fails to reset the watchdog timers, the timer circuits shut down and de-activate all relay outputs. The decoder microprocessor requires continuously valid transmitted signals to be received and decoded or all relay outputs functions will be de-activated. System status display and LED indicators: A two character LED display is mounted on the decoder circuit board. A clear plastic window in the cover of the gold box provides for viewing of the display without removing the cover.

LED indicators - relay status (relay output boards) receiver power (receiver board)

The red relay status LEDs energize whenever the corresponding relay is energized. This red LED indicates the presence of DC power on the receiver circuit board.

carrier detect (receiver board)

The green Carrier Detect LED on the receiver circuit board indicates that the receiver is receiving an RF signal.

data (receiver board)

This yellow LED on the receiver circuit board indicates that the message received contains data.

Q-SYNC (receiver board)

This orange LED on the receiver circuit board indicates that the receiver has synchronized with the incoming message.
