Operator protections - Product overview The machine can be equipped with a Cab Protective Structure, such as: Estrutura de Proteção contra Capotamento (ROPS) or Estrutura de Proteção contra Queda de Objetos (FOPS) (if equipped). The protective structure, the mounting supports and the securing elements that
form the mounting connection with the machine are part of the ROPS or FOPS. In the case of work where there is a risk of falling rocks or debris or when there is a risk of front impacts with objects that could penetrate the cab, the use of the ROPS and FOPS is required.
CAUTION Roll-over hazard! Securely fasten the seat belt. Your machine is equipped with an ROPS cab, an ROPS canopy or an ROPS frame for your protection. The seat belt can help assure your safety if it is properly used and maintained. Never use a seat belt if it is loose or has slack. Failure to comply with these recommendations could result in death or serious injury.
The Protective Structure is a special safety component of your machine. Do Not install any device on the protective structure for towing purposes. DO NOT DRILL HOLES into the protective structure. The Protective Structure and fastening components are a certified system. Any damage, fire, corrosion or modification will weaken the structure and reduce the protection. If this occurs, the protective structure MUST be replaced so it has the same protection as a new rollover protective structure. Contact a dealer for protective structure inspection and replacement. After an accident, fire, fall or rollover, the following MUST be performed by a qualified technician before returning the machine to operation in the field or job site: The Protective Structure MUST be checked and replaced if necessary; The mounting or suspension of the Protective Structure, the operator's seat, the seat belt and mounting elements MUST be inspected carefully for damage and replaced if necessary; All damaged parts MUST be replaced.
