With the engine throttle button a quarter open, start the engine and allow it to run approximately 5 to 10 minutes. Then follow the procedure for bringing the hydraulic fluid up to operating temperature.
Turn the engine throttle button to halfopen position. Operate the bucket control slowly until the bucket is completely closed. Operate the dipper retracting control slowly until the dipper is completely retracted and hold the control in this position for 30 seconds. During this time the temperature of the hydraulic fluid will increase. After 30 seconds, extend the dipper completely and hold the control in this position a further 30 seconds. Continue the extending and retracting procedure until the temperature rises.
