PAMELA A. WATSON, 74, of Danville, passed away on Monday, March 29, 2021 at Community Heart and Vascular Hospital. She was born on Tuesday August 13, 1946 in Indianapolis to Francis and Marjorie (Case) Stein. Pamela was a housekeeper for Hendricks Regional Health for over 32 years. Pamela is survived by her husband Gary K. Watson, Sr. of Danville. Two sons, Gary Keith Watson Jr. of Jamestown and Jeffrey Allen (Liza) Watson of Danville; her daughter Tammy (David) Dooley of Danville; her sister Mary Jane (Ken) Lynn of Avon; five grandchildren, Nicole (John) Angi, Jacob (Mollee) Dooley, Andrew Dooley, Rylee Watson, and Averi Watson, and one great-grandchild Stella Angi, also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Jack and Francis D. Stein. A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday April 10, at Hendricks County American Legion Post #118, located at 846 South State Road 39 in Danville, from noon until 4 p.m. In Lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to Fresenius Kidney Care Hendricks County 1594 East Main Street Danville, IN 46122. Indiana Memorial Funeral Care is honored to be serving the Watson family. ________________________ CATHERINE ELLEN “CATHY” (VanArsdale) ROBINSON, age 69 passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021. She was a graduate of Ben Davis High School and a member of the Grace Pointe Church of the Nazarene. Her career began at Aid Ambulance in the mid 1970’s where she met her husband in 1977. She later joined the Indianapolis Fire Department as a 911 Control Operator and retired as a Supervisor. She was awarded Dispatcher of the Year in 2008 by Indiana Emergency Medical Services Commission. She also trained new dispatchers for both the Indianapolis Fire Department and the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. Cathy was active in the International Association of Public Communication Officers (APCO). She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Greg; daughters Stefanie Montgomery (John); Shelly Nelson (Bill); Sara Rivera (Nelson) and son Greg (Joanna); brothers, Cecil (Christina) VanArsdale and Elbert VanArsdale; 10 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, April 8, from 11 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, followed by a private family service. Entombment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield. Face masks and social distancing will be required at the funeral home. ROBERT S. GENTRY, 78, of Plainfield, passed away April 2, 2021. He was born December 12, 1942 to the late Pleasant and Lavina (Walter) Gentry in Indianapolis. He was a 1960 graduate of Avon High School and a member of the Bartlett Chapel of the United Methodist Church. He was a US Marine veteran of the Vietnam war. He worked for PSI, Cummins Engines and was a realtor. There will be no calling. A private graveside service will be held at Washington Park East Cemetery. Arrangements by Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield. ________________________ HANSFORD “DUCKIE” WOLFE, 84, died at his home in Avon, on March 25 surrounded by his family. He was born in Manchester, Kentucky, to Granville and Anna (Harris) Wolfe. He spent most of his life in Indianapolis. For 40 years, he worked at Williamson Polishing and Plating as a master plater. He is remembered for his witty sense of humor, his love of family, fishing, singing classic country and gospel music, and playing his guitar. He loved gardening and was well known for growing crops of epic tomatoes and peppers year after year. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Thelma, daughters Linda Stroud of Indianapolis, Anna Wolfe of Portland, Maine, and son Robert Wolfe of Pittsboro. He is also survived by four grandchildren and four great grand-children, and brother Freddie Wolfe of Indianapolis. He is preceded in death by his parents: Granville and Anna Wolfe, his brother Alvin Wolfe, and his beloved mother-in-law Sallie Johnson Westerfield Pennington, all of Manchester, Kentucky. The family is planning a private memorial service later this spring. ________________________ RICHARD WAYNE SMITH, 78, of Danville, passed away in his home on March 20, 2021. Richard was born April 10, 1942 in Cartersburg to Herman and Norene (Well) Smith. He leaves behind his wife, Myrna (Tinder) Smith; daughter, Penny Jack; grandchildren, Jennifer (Jose) Mercado, Joshua (Alma) Lovins, and Michael Lovins; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Braden, and Bryan; many nieces and nephews; sister, Doris (Smith) Kame. He graduated in 1960 from Danville High School and then from Indiana Business College in Accounting. He retired from Stilesville Implement Auction and Richard Bennett Furniture. He also served in the United States Air Force. He loved fishing (especially with his grandkids) and making toys. Services will be Saturday, April 10, at The Journey Church in Avon, with visittion from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 3 p.m. The Journey Church address is 5250 East U.S. Highway 36, Suite 430, Avon, Indiana 46123. She was born in Suffolk, Va. on February 27, 1940 to Grace and William T. Everett. Marie worked in the automobile industry. She was a loving wife, sister and friend. Marie was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Mike Henry. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Louis J. Henry; sister, Brenda Babb; and her brother, Winifred Carter both of Suffolk, VA. The family has chosen to respect Marie’s request not to hold funeral services. DORIS DARLENE GATH, 90, of Plainfield, passed away on April 1, 2021 in Sugar Grove Senior living in Plainfield. She was born on January 26, 1931 in Craig, Missouri to the late George P. and Edna Hughes Grahm. She was the widow of Alvin J. Gath. Darlene was in retail sales for several years. Darlene enjoyed to sew, cook, camp, fishing, travelling and reading. Private inurnment will take place in Maple Hill Cemetery in Plainfield. Dan passed away at 7 a.m., on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, while in Hendricks Regional Hospital, with his loving wife and caregiver at his side. He was born on February 6, 1960, to Richard Nelson and Gail (Woolsey) Garriott, in Evansville, where he graduated high school with the class of ‘78. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sue (Steckler) Garriott of Plainfield, children, Corey and Katie, his mother, sisters and in-laws, neighbors and many others. 2021. He was a Skilled Trades Mechanic for General Motors. James was a Proud Veteran of the US Army-National Guard and an Avid Fisherman. She is survived by her son, Edward (Anita) Glaze and daughter, Cheryl Glaze. She is preceded in death by her spouse, Raymond Edward Glaze; parents, Henry Marlin and Gladys Williams. Barbara had five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She worked for IUPUI in the Business Office. Her greatest joy was her family. MARION “TRUMAN” LOLLAR passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, March 31, 2021. He was born December 2, 1952 in Bessemer, Alabama to David Lollar and Betty Lollar Bailey. Truman is survived by his mother, wife Brenda and his children Tiffany Starling, Kyra Lollar (Gabbie), Nakita Tarpley (Cody). Stepchildren Joshua Smith (Amy), Savilla Beam (Jordan), Matthew Smith (Harmony). Grandchildren, Savannah, Lillian, Joe, Lyla, Liam, Meredith, Meyer, Morgan and Brooks. Brother David Lollar (Jean) and sister Belinda McCluskey (Jerry). He was preceded in death by his wife Marketa, his father David, and brothers Dale and Kenny Lollar. Before his retirement in 2018 Truman worked at Metronic in Warsaw as an electrician. Truman enjoyed visiting with family and friends, riding his motorcycle with his wife and reading or watching anything history. He was known for his love of the theater and participated in several productions at Faith Outreach Center in Rochester. Truman served in the Marines and had a great respect for his country. He was a member of the Brownsburg American legion post #331. He attended Cornerstone Christian church. Truman’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. A Celebration of life is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 10 at Cornerstone Christian church in Brownsburg with visitation from 12-1 p.m. Pastor Tim Hughes will officiate. She was born on April 5, 1942 in Monroeville, Ind. to Glenn and Vera Merica. Sharon graduated from Ball State University with a Master’s in Education. She started her teaching career at Lake Central High School and finished as a substitute teacher for 30 years in the Plainfield Community Schools. Sharon enjoyed reading and crocheting in her free time. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Sharon was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lloyd Hartman II. Visitation will be Friday, April 9, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield. Funeral services and burial in Maple Hill Cemetery will be private.
