Bella Celebrates Birthday at Forget-Me-Nots

It was a big day for Bella, the birthday girl, at Forget- Me-Nots on South Washington street in Danville. Last year’s celebration was canceled due to the COVID-19 crisis, so this year’s party packed twice the punch. After all, you only turn three once!
The gregarious Golden Retriever greeted guests with a wag of the tail. Her special friend, the mailman, made delivery of a treat. Outside the store, a tray of paw-print cupcakes were for the taking.

Above: The perfect hostess, Bella greeted guests by the Paw Patrol refreshment table.
Below: Bella was especially glad to see her favorite mailman.

Genealogy Nuts At DPL
On Monday, April 12, at 1 p.m., the Genealogy Nuts meeting will feature the Indiana Room’s own Cindy Rutledge. She will talk about Transcribing Historic Documents.
Historic documents are often hard to read, but are wonderful original sources. When documents are transcribed, the accessibility to the document’s hidden information increases. Cindy will discuss how to transcribe historic documents and give tips on ways to make it easier.
Currently, the Genealogy Nuts are holding hybrid meetings – both in person and virtual. If you wish to join us in person, then you must sign up on the DPL website at www.dplindiana. org. Go to the DPL events calendar link and click on Genealogy Nuts - In Person. There is enough space to safely allow 4 people to join us in person.
Those wishing to attend via Zoom, please visit the DPL events calendar and click on Genealogy Nuts – Zoom. The link to Zoom invitation is on the events calendar.
The Indiana Room sends out programming news and other genealogy and history information through their mailing list. Invitations to our programs are sent to all members on the Indiana Room contact list. If you would like to be added to our list, contact Cindy at crutledge@dplindiana.org or call the Indiana Room at 317.745.2604.
