PAMELA A. WATSON

74, of Danville, passed away on Monday, March 29, 2021 at Community Heart and Vascular Hospital.

She was born on Tuesday August 13, 1946 in Indianapolis to Francis and Marjorie (Case) Stein.

Pamela was a housekeeper for Hendricks Regional Health for over 32 years.

Pamela is survived by her husband Gary K. Watson, Sr. of Danville. Two sons, Gary Keith Watson Jr. of Jamestown and Jeffrey Allen (Liza) Watson of Danville; her daughter Tammy (David) Dooley of Danville; her sister Mary Jane (Ken) Lynn of Avon; five grandchildren, Nicole (John) Angi, Jacob (Mollee) Dooley, Andrew Dooley, Rylee Watson, and Averi Watson, and one great-grandchild Stella Angi, also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Jack and Francis D. Stein.

A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday April 10, at Hendricks County American Legion Post #118, located at 846 South State Road 39 in Danville, from noon until 4 p.m.

In Lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to Fresenius Kidney Care Hendricks County 1594 East Main Street Danville, IN 46122.

CATHERINE ELLEN “CATHY” (VanArsdale) ROBINSON,

age 69 passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021.

She was a graduate of Ben Davis High School and a member of the Grace Pointe Church of the Nazarene.

Her career began at Aid Ambulance in the mid 1970’s where she met her husband in 1977. She later joined the Indianapolis Fire Department as a 911 Control Operator and retired as a Supervisor. She was awarded Dispatcher of the Year in 2008 by Indiana Emergency Medical Services Commission. She also trained new dispatchers for both the Indianapolis Fire Department and the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy.

Cathy was active in the International Association of Public Communication Officers (APCO).

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Greg; daughters Stefanie Montgomery (John); Shelly Nelson (Bill); Sara Rivera (Nelson) and son Greg (Joanna); brothers, Cecil (Christina) VanArsdale and Elbert VanArsdale; 10 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 8, from 11 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, followed by a private family service. Entombment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield. Face masks and social distancing will be required at the funeral home.

ROBERT S. GENTRY

78, of Plainfield, passed away April 2, 2021.

He was born December 12, 1942 to the late Pleasant and Lavina (Walter) Gentry in Indianapolis. He was a 1960 graduate of Avon High School and a member of the Bartlett Chapel of the United Methodist Church. He was a US Marine veteran of the Vietnam war.

He worked for PSI, Cummins Engines and was a realtor.

There will be no calling. A private graveside service will be held at Washington Park East Cemetery. Arrangements by Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield.

HANSFORD “DUCK- IE” WOLFE

84, died at his home in Avon, on March 25 surrounded by his family.

He was born in Manchester, Kentucky, to Granville and Anna (Harris) Wolfe. He spent most of his life in Indianapolis. For 40 years, he worked at Williamson Polishing and Plating as a master plater.

He is remembered for his witty sense of humor, his love of family, fishing, singing classic country and gospel music, and playing his guitar. He loved gardening and was well known for growing crops of epic tomatoes and peppers year after year.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Thelma, daughters Linda Stroud of Indianapolis, Anna Wolfe of Portland, Maine, and son Robert Wolfe of Pittsboro. He is also survived by four grandchildren and four great grand-children, and brother Freddie Wolfe of Indianapolis.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Granville and Anna Wolfe, his brother Alvin Wolfe, and his beloved mother-in-law Sallie Johnson Westerfield Pennington, all of Manchester, Kentucky.

The family is planning a private memorial service later this spring.

RICHARD WAYNE SMITH

78, of Danville, passed away in his home on March 20, 2021.

Richard was born April 10, 1942 in Cartersburg to Herman and Norene (Well) Smith.

He leaves behind his wife, Myrna (Tinder) Smith; daughter, Penny Jack; grandchildren, Jennifer (Jose) Mercado, Joshua (Alma) Lovins, and Michael Lovins; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Braden, and Bryan; many nieces and nephews; sister, Doris (Smith) Kame.

He graduated in 1960 from Danville High School and then from Indiana Business College in Accounting. He retired from Stilesville Implement Auction and Richard Bennett Furniture. He also served in the United States Air Force.

He loved fishing (especially with his grandkids) and making toys.

Services will be Saturday, April 10, at The Journey Church in Avon, with visittion from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 3 p.m. The Journey Church address is 5250 East U.S. Highway 36, Suite 430, Avon, Indiana 46123.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Richard’s family to cover expenses or to The Cerebral Palsy Foundation.

MARIE HENRY

81, of Avon, passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021.

She was born in Suffolk, Va. on February 27, 1940 to Grace and William T. Everett. Marie worked in the automobile industry. She was a loving wife, sister and friend.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Mike Henry.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Louis J. Henry; sister, Brenda Babb; and her brother, Winifred Carter both of Suffolk, VA. The family has chosen to respect Marie’s request not to hold funeral services. She will be laid to rest next to her son at Floral Park Cemetery. Arrangements: Stevens Mortuary.

DORIS DARLENE GATH

90, of Plainfield, passed away on April 1, 2021 in Sugar Grove Senior living in Plainfield.

She was born on January 26, 1931 in Craig, Missouri to the late George P. and Edna Hughes Grahm.

She was the widow of Alvin J. Gath.

Darlene was in retail sales for several years.

Darlene enjoyed to sew, cook, camp, fishing, travelling and reading.

Private inurnment will take place in Maple Hill Cemetery in Plainfield.

Survivors include her sons, Edward Gath and wife Karen and Arnie Gath and wife Debbie; brother, Mike Daugherty and wife Sharon; sisters, Marjie Russo, Irene Pearson and husband Warren and Pat Kumsher and husband Bob; grandchildren, Leta Amburghey, Mike Gath wife Amber, Josh Gath, Brandon Gath and Carolyn Bouchie, Sara Miller and Rachel Freeman and husband Tanner; great-grandchildren, Max Amburghey, Mira Gath, Miller Gath, Logan Miller, Aria Miller, Bryce Freeman, Kyler Freeman and Nora Gath.

Darlene was preceded in death by her daughter, Pam Gath; sister, Beulah McCabe; brothers, Hobart Grahm and Marvin Grahm.

HANSFORD “DUCKIE” WOLFE

84, died at his home in Avon on March 25, 2021, surrounded by his family.

DAN NELSON GARRI- OTT

61, of Plainfield, was released of debilitating Progressive Multiple Sclerosis, in which he battled for 20 years. Dan passed away at 7 a.m., on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, while in Hendricks Regional Hospital, with his loving wife and caregiver at his side.

He was born on February 6, 1960, to Richard Nelson and Gail (Woolsey) Garriott, in Evansville, where he graduated high school with the class of ‘78.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sue (Steckler) Garriott of Plainfield, children, Corey and Katie, his mother, sisters and in-laws, neighbors and many others.

Per Dan’s wishes, services were held privately for the family and cremation arrangements were entrusted to Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel, Monrovia.

JAMES B. SPEARS

66, passed away April 1, 2021. He was a Skilled Trades Mechanic for General Motors.

James was a Proud Veteran of the US Army-National Guard and an Avid Fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kelsie and Pauline Daniels Spears.

He is survived by his wife, Tommye Goins Spears; children, Kelley (Mark) Euliss and James (Dede) Spears; grandchildren, Zach, Anthony, Kaleb, Kameron and Kooper; siblings, Wilma, Waymond and Dorothy.

DANNY JOE BRINKER

67, of Spencer, passed away on Thursday March 18, 2021.

He was born Saturday May 16, 1953 to John R. and Dorothy Alberta (Figg) Brinker, in Danville. Dan graduated high school in 1972 from Avon.

He was preceded in death by parents, John R. and Dorothy Alberta (Figg) Brinker.

He is survived by daughters Jennifer Ryan Rewerts Brinker, Kimberily Michelle Brinker, son Dustin Joseph (wife Laura) Brinker, brothers Terry Brinker, Don Brinker, Mike Brinker, sister Gloria Jean Uhls, 8 grandchildren Isabella, Alexandra, Conner, Caleb, Chad, Sydney, David, Emma, and extended family and friends.

He loved old cars, being with his family, and making people laugh. He was a great father, brother, grandpa, and friend.

Private Memorial will be held family only due to Covid Restrictions.

BARBARA JEAN GLAZE

90, passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021 in Plainfield.

She is survived by her son, Edward (Anita) Glaze and daughter, Cheryl Glaze.

She is preceded in death by her spouse, Raymond Edward Glaze; parents, Henry Marlin and Gladys Williams. Barbara had five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She worked for IUPUI in the Business Office. Her greatest joy was her family.

Services were Wednesday, March 31, at Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Royster-Askin-Sandrock Chapel, Indianapolis.

CHRISTOPHER E. “MOOSE” LOUDERMILK

52, of Plainfield, passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2021. He was born in Indianapolis on June 8, 1968 to Mike and the late Doris (Wilson) Loudermilk.

Cremation Arrangements are entrusted to Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel in Monrovia. A Celebration of Life Gathering and ride to honor Moose is being planned and will be posted when arrangements are finalized. MARION “TRUMAN” LOLLAR

passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, March 31, 2021.

He was born December 2, 1952 in Bessemer, Alabama to David Lollar and Betty Lollar Bailey.

Truman is survived by his mother, wife Brenda and his children Tiffany Starling, Kyra Lollar (Gabbie), Nakita Tarpley (Cody). Stepchildren Joshua Smith (Amy), Savilla Beam (Jordan), Matthew Smith (Harmony). Grandchildren, Savannah, Lillian, Joe, Lyla, Liam, Meredith, Meyer, Morgan and Brooks. Brother David Lollar (Jean) and sister Belinda McCluskey (Jerry).

He was preceded in death by his wife Marketa, his father David, and brothers Dale and Kenny Lollar.

Before his retirement in 2018 Truman worked at Metronic in Warsaw as an electrician.

Truman enjoyed visiting with family and friends, riding his motorcycle with his wife and reading or watching anything history. He was known for his love of the theater and participated in several productions at Faith Outreach Center in Rochester.

Truman served in the Marines and had a great respect for his country. He was a member of the Brownsburg American legion post #331. He attended Cornerstone Christian church. Truman’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A Celebration of life is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 10 at Cornerstone Christian church in Brownsburg with visitation from 12-1 p.m. Pastor Tim Hughes will officiate. Memorial contributions can be made to Brownsburg American Legion post #331, Cornerstone Christian Church or the Warsaw, IN Salvation Army.

SHARON ANN HART- MAN

78, of Plainfield, passed away on April 3, 2021.

She was born on April 5, 1942 in Monroeville, Ind. to Glenn and Vera Merica. Sharon graduated from Ball State University with a Master’s in

Education. She started her teaching career at Lake Central High School and finished as a substitute teacher for 30 years in the Plainfield Community Schools.Sharon enjoyed reading and crocheting in her free time. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Sharon was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lloyd Hartman II.

Visitation will be Friday, April 9, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Hampton-Gentry Funeral

56 of Plainfield, passed away April 3, 2021.

He was born on June 22, 1964 in Indianapolis to Raymond and Helen (Melton) Ledbetter. He was a diesel mechanic for many years. Mark was a member of the Christ Temple Church in Indianapolis.

Survivors include his parents of Plainfield; sons, Jason Ledbetter of Plainfield, Justin Ledbetter of Trafalger; daughter, Jaime Ledbetter of Indianapolis; brothers, Mike Ledbetter of Plainfield, Patrick (Michelle) Ledbetter of Brownsburg; sister, Karen (Tom) Cartmell of Whiteland; several nieces and nephews.

GLENN TRESNER

83, of Plainfield, passed away April 3, 2021.

He was born July 8, 1937 to the late Harry and Bonnie (Bennett) Tresner in Hillsdale, Ind. He was a US Army veteran. He was a life-long truck driver and a member of the Teamsters Local #135.

Glenn is survived by four daughters, Monica R. Hulett, Jill M. (Ian) Bell, Nicole B. (Michael) Culley and Valerie A. (Zac) Ross; his children from a previous marriage, Jeff and David, and Vickie (deceased); a brother, Bill Tresner; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 8, in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Thursday from 6 p.m .until service time

MADONNA R. BROCK

102, Brownsburg, passed away March 29, 2021.

She was a member of Crooked Creek Baptist Church.

Her husband, Walter F. Brock, preceded her in death in 1981.

Madonna is survived by children Betty Brown, Rita Clayton Corn (James), and Walter Brock Jr.; grandchildren Ben Brock, Andy Brock, Anthony Brown, Angela O’Connor, and Christian Clayton; 10 great-grandchildren. SALLY LOU KAPPLER DOUB

of North Salem passed away Monday, April 5, 2021.

Sally was born in Jackson, Michigan to Robert and Genevieve (Bornor) Kappler.

She leaves behind her husband Frank Doub; daughter Twyla (Mark) Broviak of North Salem; grandchildren Kyler, Kaylyn, and Kaleb Broviak of North Salem; sister Kathryn (Arthur) Herrst of Tawas City, Michigan; nephew Robert (Michelle) Herrst; niece Annette (Jeff) Hone; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her parents and surrogate mother Twyla Pearl Sellers, and Max Sellers.

Sally was a cosmetologist and taught cosmetology in Michigan. She loved the outdoors and mowing. She was a believer in natural healing through oils and herbs. She was a very godly woman and member of the New Maysville Christian Church.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 9, from 11-2 at the Bousley Funeral Home in Coatesville, followed by a graveside service at the New Winchester Cemetery. Pastor Larry Edwards will be officiating. www.BousleyFuneral- Home.com

MARVIN L. GIST

age 79, of Camby, passed away on April 4, 2021 in his residence.

He was born on January 19, 1942 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Harry and Josephine Bennett Gist. He married Mary Stone on February 1960, she survives.

Marvin worked as a carpenter for 40+ years for Larry Good homes in Plainfield and was also a self-employed carpenter as well.

Marvin enjoyed his old cars especially his Model T’s.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Mary Stone Gist. Sons: Paul Gist, David (Tammy) Gist and Stephen Gist. Daughter: Karen Gist Carpenter (Jimmy). 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother Raymond Gist and Sister: Sharon Gist.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 10, at 1 p.m. in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield. Calling hours will be on Saturday from 11 a.m. until services in the funeral home.

All guests attending visitation and/or services will be required to wear a mask at all times in an effort to promote a safe environment. You are also invited to watch the services via live stream on the Hall-Baker Funeral Home Facebook Page.

WILLIAM P. COMER

74, passed on November 24, 2020. A Celebration of Life service will be held April 24, from 1-4 p.m. at Bundy Lodge at Arbuckle Acres in Brownsburg.

Bill was born in Indianapolis February 20, 1946 to Donald D. and Minnie B. Comer. He attended Washington High School and University of Haughville. In 1969, he joined the Indianapolis Fire Department where he served for 15 years and received many commendations for courage and valor.

Bill loved his family, horses, perfecting his lottery technique and was always the life of the party.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Minnie Comer; son Billy Comer.

Survivors include his daughters, Raquel Comer and Lesa Saylor; sons, Clay Comer, Kyle Comer; and sister Donna Pearl; granddaughter Kyndall Zunk.

DOROTHY ELLA LETA MEYER

97, passed away on April 2, 2021. She was born on January 6, 1924 to Henry and Anna (Wiebusch) Siemers in Otoe, Nebraska. After graduating from Otoe High School, she attended the Lincoln School of Commerce.

She married Lorenz F. Meyer on April 14, 1943. They lived in several towns in Otoe County, moving to Lincoln in 1955, where they raised three children: Susan, David, and Mary Ann. Dorothy worked in the Accounting Dept. of the Federal Soil Conservation Service from 1955 to 1989. She took pride in her work, earning many awards and promotions. She was an active member of First Lutheran Church Lincoln and enjoyed square dancing and round dancing with Lorenz.

In 1994 she moved to Plainfield, IN to be near family. While living there she joined Plainfield United Methodist Church and the Women’s Club. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, her brother and sister- in- law, and friends. She loved hosting out-of-town family whenever they could visit. Her hobbies included needle work, playing Scrabble, and walking/exercising. Dorothy took advantage of many traveling opportunities after retirement, both overseas and state-side.

Dorothy was predeceased by her son, husband, brother (Ralph Siemers), two sisters (Margaret Ingram and Lorene Hillman), and many in-laws. She is survived by her daughters: Susan Meyer; Mary Ann Hamilton and son-in-law, Michael; and 3 grandchildren: Joanna Hamilton, Kimberly Hamilton (Ashley Running), and Ian Hamilton; and one sister-in-law (Martha Siemers), along with many nieces and nephews.

No memorial services are planned at this time. Celebration of Life and graveside services will be held with family and friends this summer. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Plainfield United Methodist Church.

MICHAEL LINDSAY JENKINS

64, of Plainfield, passed away April 3, 2021.

He was born August 6, 1956 in Bellefontaine, Ohio the son of Herbert K. and Dottie L .Jenkins.

Michael worked for the Indiana Department of Transportation for the State of Indiana for over 30 years. He was a member of Phi Delta Kappa in Danville and the Annual Tennessee Golf Trip for 25 years. He was 1974 graduate of Avon High School.

He is survived by his wife, Tamara Jenkins; step-children, Bobby Gonterman and his wife Jill, Bridget Hollada and her husband Ron, and Bryant Gonterman and his wife Morgan; mother Dottie Jenkins; sister, Chris Stewart; grandchildren, Caleah Jenkins, Caleb Gonterman, Ashlyn Gonterman, Reanna Hollada, Anthony Hollada, Elizabeth Hollada, Andrew Hollada, Abigail Hollada, Adalynn Gonterman, Annabella Gonterman, and Bryant Gonterman II; father and mother in law Don and Ann Rea; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, daughter, Lindsay Nichole Jenkins, granddaughter, Lilly Gonterman, brother, Hal Key Jenkins, brother in law, Mark J. Stewart.

The tide recedes but leaves behind bright seashells on the sand. The sun goes down, but gentle warmth still lingers on the land. The music stops, and yet it echoes on in sweet refrains..... For every joy that passes, something beautiful remains.
