Day 1: UK to Cologne. Travel by coach via Eurotunnel, or ferry, from Folkestone to Cologne where you embark Rex Rheni. Set sail this evening and enjoy a welcome drink, and dinner on board, with a live performance by the accomplished Band of Gold, who'll provide fun and cool sounds throughout your cruise. Tonight’s performance is entitled ‘Welcome to the Swinging 60s.’ Day 2: Bonn Arrive in the former West German capital of Bonn at lunchtime and enjoy an afternoon here. An optional excursion reveals the sights of the town, and in 2022 includes a visit to the birthplace of Beethoven. Tonight’s musical entertainment is ‘The British Invasion’ – spend the evening celebrating the success of British bands in the US and beyond in the 60s including The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Tom Jones and Dusty Springfield. Day 3: Bonn to Koblenz Depart Bonn at breakfast time and sail through the morning to Koblenz, where you arrive early afternoon and moor overnight. Koblenz is set at the point where the Rhine and Moselle flow together. It’s known as 'Deutsches Eck' or German Corner and features a huge statue of Kaiser Wilhelm l. Looming on the right bank is the imposing Festung Ehrenbreitstein, a citadel built by the Prussians. You might like to join an optional tour of the town and castle

this afternoon. This evening your on-board entertainers plan to ‘Rock the Joint’ with a set celebrating the pioneers of Rock & Roll including Bill Haley & the Comets, Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard and Fats Domino. Day 4: Koblenz to Rüdesheim Sail over breakfast to one of the most picturesque sections of the middle Rhine. Arrive in Rüdesheim, a charming wine town, early afternoon and moor here overnight. Perhaps stroll to the Drosselgasse, a medieval street full of restaurants, wine houses and garden taverns, for a glass of the local wine or beer. Alternatively you can join an optional excursion to Siegfried's Museum of Mechanical Music, a whimsical display of selfplaying instruments, or partake in an optional wine tasting at a local winery. Return to your ship in time to enjoy a ‘Musical Kaleidoscope’ from Jeremy and the Band of Gold. They aim to provide a fun night mixing the sounds of the 60s and 70s with Rock & Roll, Blues and a bit of Jump Jive and Swing. Day 5: Rüdesheim to Cologne to Konigswinter Sail from Rüdesheim early this morning and, after a lunchtime arrival, spend the afternoon at leisure in Cologne. See some of the historic highlights at the RomanoGermanic Museum and the cathedral, or go shopping in the city's modern heart. Tonight you can enjoy the Band of Gold’s final

YOUR HOST – JEREMY HUGGETT Virtuoso Jeremy Huggett, a previous UK award winner for best reed player, clearly demonstrates his skill and maturity on saxophones, flute, and vocals. Since December 2000, Jeremy has been guesting on sax and flute with legendary rock group, Hawkwind. He’s also played with famous names all over the country, including Acker Bilk.
BAND OF GOLD: Band of Gold was formed in 1997 and, led by Jeremy Huggett, is guaranteed to entertain and get the on-board party going. Band of Gold is extremely versatile and for this holiday, Jeremy has put together a lineup focusing on rock & roll and the sounds of the 60s. The band will have a five piece line-up consisting of saxes/vocals, guitar, keyboards, bass and drums. Although based in Devon, Band of Gold travel across the UK and abroad.
