Central Regional TAFE Central Regional TAFE is a Western Australian Technical and Further Education (TAFE) College and is part of the TAFE WA network of colleges operating across the State. Central Regional TAFE is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), meeting the National Standards for RTOs, and harnessing the resources, expertise and capability of its staff in vocational education and training (VET) delivery, to provide quality training. Central Regional TAFE offers Nationally Recognised Qualifications and skillsets from Certificate I to Advanced Diploma with expertise in aquaculture, maritime, agriculture, horticulture, hospitality, resources, health and early childhood education and care, reflecting the diversity of industries within the regional economy of Western Australia. The college has nine campuses in three major locations – the coastal city of Geraldton, Kalgoorlie at the centre of Western Australia’s valuable gold mining industry and Northam, at the heart of the agricultural sector of the State. Located in Geraldton, the Batavia Coast Maritime Institute is a state-of-the-art specialist facility for delivery in aquaculture, maritime and fishing operations, conservation and ecosystem management. The college services a geographical area of 1.4m square kms in central Western Australia, a population of 150,000 people, enrolling approximately 10,000 students annually. Central Regional TAFE emphasises engagement with industry, employers and the community, including First Nations peoples, priding itself on strong relationships that enhance the design and delivery of relevant and outcomes-focused VET programs leading to skills development and attainment of qualifications.
